He said it in these words: "Me hot shoyn lang aroys gekukt oyf mir, me zol mich der tapn aher — vos zol ich aych zogn — alaphim revavos, revavos, revavos—" and he drew out the word revavos [tens of thousands] very greatly each time — meaning to say: there are here in Uman around him revavos upon revavos upon revavos of souls — tens of thousands upon tens of thousands — standing now around him, waiting for him to rectify them. And it is for this reason that he has all these severe and bitter torments and sufferings. And afterward he turned his face somewhat toward the wall and spread out his hands slightly — as if to say: Behold — I give over my soul, and I am ready and prepared to accept everything for His sake, Blessed be He.
