49 Days from Pesach to Shavuos — Refining the Soul
Tonight is Day 16 גְּבוּרָה שבתִּפְאֶרֶת
Rabbi Nachman teaches that the 49 days of the Omer are a time of spiritual refinement, corresponding to the 49 gates of holiness. Each day we work on a different combination of the seven divine attributes (sefiros), purifying ourselves in preparation for receiving the Torah on Shavuos.
