אִם אָמְנָם כָּעֵת אֵין דַּעְתִּי צְלוּלָה וְאֵין עִמִּי דְּבָרִים מֵחֲמַת הַיִּסּוּרִים הָעֲצוּמִים הַקָּשִׁים הָעוֹבְרִים עָלַי, לֹא עָלֶיךָ, אַךְ מֵעֹצֶם תְּשׁוּקָתְךָ וְכִסּוּפֶיךָ הַטּוֹבִים לְהִתְקָרֵב וּלְהִתְקַשֵּׁר לְהַצַּדִּיק הָאֱמֶת בִּשְׁבִיל שֶׁיְּקָרֵב אוֹתְךָ לַה' יִתְבָּרַךְ וּלְתוֹרָתוֹ, כִּי הוּא עִנְיָן גָּדוֹל וְעָצוּם וְנִשְׂגָּב, אֲנִי נִכְסָף וּמִשְׁתּוֹקֵק מְאֹד מְאֹד לְמַלְּאוֹת רְצוֹנְךָ לִכְתֹּב לְךָ דִּבּוּרִים אֲמִתִּיִּים, עַל-כֵּן זֵרַזְתִּי עַצְמִי לְמַלְאוֹת רְצוֹנְךָ וְלִכְתֹּב לְךָ דִּבּוּרִים אֲמִתִּיִּים, דִּבְרֵי אֱמֶת נִפְלָאִים וּתְמִימִים.
heart — to recognize and to cleave to the true, holy and awesome Tzadik — the new light, who reveals wondrous and awesome novelties beyond all reckoning — the like of which have never been heard before — to give us life through them, even in the very ultimate complete darkness of these latter days.
לֹא דָּבָר קָטָן הוּא מַה שֶּׁכָּתַבְתִּי עַתָּה כִּי הוּא נִפְלָאוֹת נוֹרָאוֹת, עֵינַי מְצַפּוֹת בְּכָל עֵת לְהִתְקַשֵּׁר אִתְּךָ, בְּטַח בַּה' כִּי לֹא יַעֲזֹב אוֹתְךָ. יְהִי ה' עִמְּךָ וִיחַזֵּק אֶת לְבָבְךָ שֶׁתּוֹסִיף בְּכָל יוֹם לַחֲקֹק בְּלִבְּךָ אוֹר הַחֶסֶד חִנָּם שֶׁמֵּאִיר עַכְשָׁו בָּעוֹלָם, כִּי חוּץ מִזֶּה הַכֹּל הֶבֶל. הִזָּהֵר לִזְכֹּר בְּכָל עֵת שֶׁיֵּשׁ לָנוּ כְּתֵפַיִם רְחָבִים לִסְמֹךְ עֲלֵיהֶם, כִּי מָה הָיִינוּ עוֹשִׂים אִם לֹא הָיָה לָנוּ כֹּחַ כָּזֶה וְעֵצוֹת כָּאֵלּוּ, הָיָה בִּלְתִּי אֶפְשָׁרִי לִסְבֹּל מְרִירוּתָא דְּעָלְמָא מַר מִּמָּוֶת שֶׁאִי אֶפְשָׁר לְהַמְתִּיקוֹ כִּי אִם עַל-יְדֵי הַצַּדִּיק הָאֱמֶת. מַה נָּשִׁיב לַה' אֲשֶׁר אָנוּ זוֹכִים לֵידַע מֵהַצַדִּיק הָאֱמֶת יְסוֹד הָעוֹלָם שֶׁהוּא מַמְתִּיק הַמְּרִירוּת שֶׁל כָּל הָעוֹלָם כֻּלּוֹ, וּבְוַדַּאי הַחוֹסִים בְּצִלּוֹ וּמִתְקָרְבִים אֵלָיו - נִמְתָּק מֵהֶם הַמְּרִירוּת הַרְבֵּה יוֹתֵר. אַשְׁרֵינוּ מַה טּוֹב חֶלְקֵנוּ שֶׁזָּכִינוּ לְזֶה, וּבָזֶה תָּגִיל וְתָשִׂישׂ בְּכָל יוֹם וּבְכָל עֵת.

מַה מְּאֹד עָצְמוּ נִפְלְאוֹתָיו יִתְבָּרַךְ שֶׁדַּיְקָא עַתָּה, בְּרִבּוּי חֶשְׁכַת אֲפֵלָתֵנוּ, אָנוּ רוֹאִים צְמִיחַת קֶרֶן יְשׁוּעָה, וְהָיָה כִּי יְבַצַּע ה' אֶת כָּל מַעֲשֵׂהוּ, נְסַפֵּר תְּהִלּוֹת ה' וֶעֱזוּזוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה עִמָּנוּ לְחַיּוֹתֵנוּ לָנֵצַח. אֲנִי מְצַפֶּה בְּכָל עֵת לִישׁוּעָתְךָ הַגְּדוֹלָה וּבְהֶכְרֵחַ שֶׁיַּעֲבֹר כַּמָּה מִינֵי מְנִיעוֹת וְיִסּוּרִים עַל כָּל מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לִיגַע וּלְהָרִיחַ בְּרֵיחַ דִּבְרֵי סִפְרֵי הַצַּדִּיק.
And all of this so that you should be able to bring to fruition your powerful longing — to make known and to publicize in the world.
צְרִיכִים לְהַמְשִׁיךְ מֵהַצַּדִּיק חָכְמָה וְהִתְבּוֹנְנוּת גָּדוֹל עַד שֶׁיִּזְכֶּה לִשָּׁאֵר עַל עָמְדּוֹ תָּמִיד כָּל יְמֵי חַיָּיו וְלֹא יַנִּיחַ לְהַפִּיל אֶת עַצְמוֹ לְעוֹלָם, כִּי אַף-עַל-פִּי שֶׁהָעִקָּר הוּא תְּמִימוּת וּפְשִׁיטוּת גָּמוּר, אַף-עַל-פִּי כֵן זֶה הַתְּמִימוּת הָאֲמִתִּי אִי אֶפְשָׁר לְקַבֵּל כִּי אִם עַל-יְדֵי שֶׁיִּשְׁקֹד הַרְבֵּה הַרְבֵּה עַל דַּלְתֵי הַבֵּית מִדְרָשׁ שֶׁל הַצַּדִּיק הָאֱמֶת שֶׁהוּא חָכָם וְנָבוֹן גָּדוֹל.

…Who has compassion upon himself and has begun to sprout good — and who has given his soul and invested all his mind and his heart to cleave himself to the true Tzadik, who labors to return the entire world to good, and draws down a wondrous peace in the world — even if the nations of the world have erred.
ה' יְשַׂמַּח נַפְשְׁךָ וִיחַזֵּק רַגְלְךָ שֶׁיֵּלְכוּ בְּדַרְכֵי הַצַּדִּיק הָאֱמֶת, יֵלְכוּ וְלֹא יִיעָפוּ יָרוּצוּ לַעֲבוֹדַת ה' וְלֹא יִגָּעוּ. הַמִּתְפַּלֵּל תָּמִיד לִשְׁלוֹמוֹ וְהַצְלָחָתוֹ בָּזֶה וּבָבָא.
Who labors to draw down a great peace — even with the nations of the world — so that they return and transform themselves by their own will to the faith of Israel, and subjugate themselves to us — and we will rule over them.
