My dear son! Remember well, well — all the kindnesses and the wonders that Hashem Yisburach performed with you. So may Hashem continue with you a thousandfold! The true Tzadik — all the salvation and all the desire and all the aim of Rabbainu Hakadosh, may his memory be for a blessing — is that we merit to walk with his words.
ה' יִתְבָּרַךְ בְּעַצְמוֹ כִּבְיָכוֹל מְצַמְצֵם עַצְמוֹ מֵאֵין סוֹף עַד אֵין תַּכְלִית וּמְרַמֵּז לוֹ רְמָזִים כְּפִי הָרָאוּי לוֹ בִּמְקוֹמוֹ וּשְׁעָתוֹ לְהִתְקָרֵב אֵלָיו. וּמִכָּל זֶה יוּכַל לְהָבִין רְמָזִים לְבַל יְבַהֲלוּהוּ רַעְיוֹנָיו מִכָּל הַדְּבָרִים שֶׁעוֹבֵר עָלָיו, רַק מִכֻּלָּם יִזְכֹּר בַּה' יִתְבָּרַךְ מִכָּל מָקוֹם שֶׁהוּא אֵיךְ שֶׁהוּא, כִּי גַּם בִּשְׁאוֹל תַּחְתִּיּוֹת יְכוֹלִים לִהְיוֹת סָמוּךְ לַה' יִתְבָּרַךְ בְּכֹחַ הַצַּדִּיק. וַאֲנִי עֵינַי צוֹפִיּוֹת וּמְיַחֲלוֹת לַה' שֶׁיַּצְמִיחַ עַל-יְדֵי זֶה יְשׁוּעָתְךָ וְטוֹבָתְךָ הַנִּצְחִית בְּתוֹךְ כְּלַל יִשְׂרָאֵל.
Meaning to fulfill them simply — and to understand one thing from within another. And to find for oneself counsels every single day always, in all that passes over a person at every time and season — by day and by night, in his lying down and in his rising up and in his walking on the way.
אַף-עַל-פִּי שֶׁאָנוּ בְּעַצְמֵנוּ חַיָּבִים, אַף-עַל-פִּי כֵן חַסְדּוֹ יִתְבָּרַךְ גָּדוֹל מְאֹד עַד אֵין חֵקֶר וְאֵין מִסְפָּר וּבְחַסְדּוֹ יִתְבָּרַךְ לֹא יַעַזְבֶנּוּ, וּמַה גָּדְלוּ חַסְדֵּי ה' שֶׁעָשָׂה עִמָּנוּ בַּדּוֹר הַזֶּה עַל-יְדֵי הָאִישׁ תְּבוּנוֹת הָאֲמִתִּי שֶׁהִמְשִׁיךְ תִּקּוּנִים נוֹרָאִים כָּאֵלֶּה לְהַחֲיוֹת כָּל הַנְּפָשׁוֹת הַנְּפוּלוֹת אֲשֶׁר רַבּוּ כְּמוֹ רַבּוּ בְּדוֹרוֹת אֵלֶּה, אַךְ אוֹי לָהֶם לְהַחוֹלְקִים וְהַמִּתְנַגְּדִים עַל הָעוֹסֵק בְּתִקּוּן נַפְשָׁם בְּכָל עֵת, וְאַף-עַל-פִּי שֶׁהֵם חוֹלְקִים כְּמוֹ שֶׁחוֹלְקִים וּמִתְלוֹצְצִים כְּמוֹ שֶׁמִּתְלוֹצְצִים, אַף-עַל-פִּי כֵן הוּא עוֹסֵק בְּתִקּוּנָם מֵרָחוֹק, כִּי הַמַּעְיָן דְּנָפִיק מַשְׁקֶה וּמַרְוֶה אֶת הָאָרֶץ גַּם בְּמָקוֹם שֶׁהוֹלֵךְ מִתַּחַת לָאָרֶץ בַּמַּעֲמַקִּים. וּמַה טּוֹב חֶלְקֵנוּ שֶׁזָּכִינוּ בְּחַסְדֵי ה' וִישׁוּעָתוֹ הַנִּפְלָאָה לֵידַע בֶּאֱמֶת מֵהָעוֹסֵק בְּתִקּוּנֵנוּ לָנֵצַח בְּכָל דּוֹר.

With what shall we precede, shall we precede… it is upon us to remind ourselves every time of all the kindnesses and the wondrous good things that Hashem performed wondrously for us — what Hashem has performed for us. That we have merited to engage in such things — which stand at the very height of the heights of the world without end.
הָעֲלִילוֹת וְהַתּוֹאֲנוֹת שֶׁהַבַּעַל-דָּבָר מוֹצֵא לְכָל אָדָם לִפְרשׁ מֵאַחֲרֵי הַמָּקוֹם חַס וְשָׁלוֹם רַבּוּ מִסְפֹּר כִּי אֵין מִסְפָּר, וּלְכָל אֶחָד מוֹצֵא עֲלִילוֹת מְיֻחָדוֹת, רֻבָּם עַל-יְדֵי טִרְדַּת הַפַּרְנָסָה וְהַמָּמוֹן וּמְנִיעוֹת הַמּוֹנְעִים וְכוּ'.
To give life to our souls in this dark and orphaned generation — in our lowly state as it is.
כָּל אָדָם שֶׁרוֹצֶה לָצֵאת מִטֻּמְאָתוֹ וְזֹהֲמָתוֹ צָרִיךְ לֵילֵךְ בַּדֶּרֶךְ הַזֶּה, לַחְשֹׁב תָּמִיד שֶׁהוּא רַק יְחִידִי בָּעוֹלָם וְלֹא יִסְתַּכֵּל עַל שׁוּם מוֹנֵעַ וּמְעַכֵּב וּמְבַלְבֵּל וְכוּ', וּכְמוֹ שֶׁמּוּבָא בְּהַמַּעֲשֶׂה שֶׁל הֶחָכָם וְהַתָּם (סִפּוּרֵי מַעֲשִׂיּוֹת מִשָּׁנִים קַדְמוֹנִיּוֹת, מַעֲשֶׂה ט'), מְבֹאָר שָׁם שֶׁהַתָּם הָיָה רַצְעָן וְכוּ' וְלֹא הָיָה יָכוֹל הַמְּלָאכָה כָּרָאוּי, וְהַנַּעַל שֶׁלּוֹ שֶׁגָּמַר בְּכַמָּה יָמִים בִּיגִיעָה גְּדוֹלָה הָיָה מָלֵא חֶסְרוֹנוֹת וְהָיָה בִּשְׁלשָׁה קְצָווֹת וְכוּ' וְהוּא הָיָה מִתְפָּאֵר בּוֹ מְאֹד, כַּמָּה נָאֶה וְיָפֶה הַמִּנְעָל הַזֶּה, כַּמָּה מָתוֹק, כַּמָּה מָתוֹק כַּמָּה סֻכָּר הַמִּנְעָל הַזֶּה, וָואס פָאר הַזִּיס, וָואס פָאר סוּכֶּרְדִּיק שִׁיחָאלִי דָּאס אִיז וְכוּ', וְהָיְתָה שׁוֹאֶלֶת לוֹ אִשְׁתּוֹ אִם כֵּן מַדּוּעַ וּמִפְּנֵי מָה שְׁאֵרֵי בַּעֲלֵי מְלָאכוֹת נוֹטְלִים שְׁלשָׁה זְהוּבִים בְּעַד זוּג מִנְעָלִים וְאַתָּה אֵינְךָ לוֹקֵחַ כִּי אִם זָהוּב וָחֵצִי? הֵשִׁיב לָהּ, מַה לִּי בָּזֶה זֶה מַעֲשֶׂה שֶׁלּוֹ וְזֶה מַעֲשֶׂה שֶׁלִּי, דָאס אִיז יֶענעֶמְס מַעֲשֶׂה אוּן דָּאס אִיז מַיְין מַעֲשֶׂה, וְהָבֵן.
You have put joy in my heart. Therefore we are obligated to give thanks and to praise Hashem always — who has performed kindnesses and wondrous good things for us. Through the immensity of your longing to hear such awesome secrets — that we have merited to engage in such things, which stand at the very height of the heights of the world without end.
הַרְבֵּה עֲלִיּוֹת וִירִידוֹת צְרִיכִין לַעֲבֹר עַל כָּל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד מַה שֶׁאִי אֶפְשָׁר לְבָאֵר בִּכְתָב, בִּפְרָט מִי שֶׁכְּבָר נִכְשַׁל כְּמוֹ שֶׁנִּכְשַׁל, עַל-כֵּן אִם רוֹצֶה לָחוּס עַל חַיָּיו לְהֵיטִיב אַחֲרִיתוֹ צָרִיךְ לֵילֵךְ עַל יָדָיו וְרַגְלָיו לְהַצַּדִּיק הָאֱמֶת וְתַלְמִידָיו וְתַלְמִידֵי תַּלְמִידָיו וְכוּ'.

אוֹהֲבוֹ הַקָּשׁוּר בְּלִבּוֹ בְּכָל יוֹם תָּמִיד, הַמַּעְתִּיר לִשְׁלוֹמוֹ וְטוֹבָתוֹ בֶּאֱמֶת
