תּוֹרָה קלט בְּחֹל שֶׁיֵּשׁ שְׁלִיטַת הַחִיצוֹנִים, כְּשֶׁאָדָם עוֹשֶׂה מִצְוָה אָז יוֹנֶקֶת הַקְּלִפָּה מֵהָרַגְלִין שֶׁל הַמִּצְוָה שֶׁלֹּא תּוּכַל לַעֲלוֹת וְלֵילֵךְ לִפְנֵי הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ, וּבְשַׁבָּת נִתְבַּטֵּל שְׁלִיטַת הַחִיצוֹנִים, וְאָז עוֹלָה הַמִּצְוָה וְהוֹלֶכֶת לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא, וְזֶה בְּחִינַת: "אִם תָּשִׁיב מִשַּׁבָּת רַגְלֶךָ" (יְשַׁעְיָה נח, יג), וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא מִשְׁתַּעֲשֵׁעַ וּמִתְעַנֵּג בָּהּ, וְעוֹשֶׂה מִפַּעֲמֵי רַגְלָיו דֶּרֶךְ כְּבוּשָׁה:
On weekdays — when the external forces have dominion — when a person performs a commandment — the husk draws nurture from the feet of the commandment so that it cannot ascend and go before Hashem Yisborach. And on the holy Shabbos — the dominion of the external forces is nullified — and then the commandment ascends and goes before the Holy One, blessed be He. And the Holy One, blessed be He, takes delight and pleasure in it — and makes from its footsteps a paved road.
