תּוֹרָה רט יֵשׁ לְכָל אָדָם תְּפִלּוֹת רָעוֹת, כְּמוֹ שֶׁאָמְרוּ רַבּוֹתֵינוּ זִכְרוֹנָם לִבְרָכָה: 'גַּנְבָא עַל מַחְתַּרְתָּא רַחֲמָנָא קַרְיָא' (בְּרָכוֹת ס"ג לְפִי נֻסְחַת הָ"עֵין יַעֲקֹב"), וְאַחַר־כָּךְ כְּשֶׁעוֹמֵד לְהִתְפַּלֵּל, אָז הַתְּפִלָּה הָרָעָה מְבַלְבֶּלֶת אוֹתוֹ, וְהַתִּקּוּן לָזֶה הַכְנָסַת אוֹרְחִים תַּלְמִידֵי חֲכָמִים:

Every person has evil prayers — as our Sages of blessed memory said: ""the thief at the tunnel calls out to G-d"" [Berachos 63a, according to the "Ein Yaakov" version]. And afterwards when one stands to pray — the evil prayer confuses one. And the rectification for this is hospitality toward Torah scholars.
