תּוֹרָה רמד מִי שֶׁהוּא מְעֹרָב בֵּין הָעַכּוּ"ם, דְּהַיְנוּ שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ עֲסָקִים וּמַשָּׂא וּמַתָּן עִמָּהֶם, צָרִיךְ לִשְׁמֹר עַצְמוֹ מְאֹד מְאֹד שֶׁלֹּא יִפֹּל מִמַּדְרֵגַת יַהֲדוּתוֹ שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ, וְצָרִיךְ לִהְיוֹת כְּיָתֵד חָזָק בַּל יִמֹּט מִמַּדְרֵגַת כַּשְׁרוּתוֹ וְיַהֲדוּתוֹ, וְצָרִיךְ לְבַקֵּשׁ הַרְבֵּה מֵהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ שֶׁלֹּא יִלְמַד מִמַּעֲשֵׂיהֶם וְדַרְכֵיהֶם:
One who is mixed among the nations — that is, who has business and commerce with them — must guard oneself very very greatly from falling from the level of one's Judaism. And one must be like a firm peg that does not budge from the level of one's worthiness and Judaism. And one must ask Hashem Yisborach very much not to learn from their deeds and ways.
