There are chambers of Torah [chadray Torah]. And one who merits them — when beginning to innovate in Torah — enters the chambers — and from chamber to chamber etc. — and gathers from there treasures and precious and very dear and beloved remedies [segulos]. Fortunate is he. But one must be very careful not to deceive oneself — thinking that one has already attained complete attainment. For there are those who imagine they have already entered the innermost of the inner in Torah attainments — when in truth they are still standing entirely outside. For even in genuine and holy Torah attainments — there are many aspects (see the main text). For there are many many innovations and attainments that appear to a person to be great attainments — but in truth they come only from the "heichalos ha-temuros" [the palaces of permutations — the inverse]. Therefore one must be very careful not to be mistaken in this. And the very great Tzadik — even when he merits true holy attainments — even so they are not considered in his eyes — from the greatness of his recognition of the Creator's greatness, may He be blessed. And therefore he strives and strengthens himself each time when Hashem Yisborach begins to show him the light of Torah — as if he has not yet begun to attain anything at all in his lifetime.
