It is stated in the holy Zohar: "taiku" said in the Talmud is the aspect of "mechusar tikkun" — lacking the rectification [Tzav 27b]. That is — the letter "nun" of "tikkun" is missing — and "teiku" remains. And know — this final "nun" when it is missing from the rectification — it descends and bends and the combination "kinot" [lamentations] is formed. And when Hashem redeems us — the "kinot" will be transformed to "tikkun" — and the "teiku" will be rectified.
