א. צֵירֵי זֶה בְּחִינַת וַיִּצֶר, בְּחִינַת בִּינָה, שֶׁשָּׁם נוֹצָר הַוָּלָד כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב: "אִם לַבִּינָה תִּקְרָא" (מִשְׁלֵי ב, ג). וְהִיא בְּחִינַת סֻכָּה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב: "תְּסֻכֵּנִי בְּבֶטֶן אִמִּי" (תְּהִלִּים קלט, יג), וְהִיא בְּחִינַת מַה שֶּׁמִּתְפַּלְּלִין, בְּכֹחַ שֶׁהוּא מַכְנִיס כָּל כֹּחוֹ בְּאוֹתִיּוֹת הַתְּפִלָּה, בִּבְחִינַת: "כָּל עַצְמֹתַי תֹּאמַרְנָה" (שָׁם לה, י), בְּחִינַת סֻכָּה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב: "וּבַעֲצָמוֹת וְגִידִים תְּשֹׂכְכֵנִי" (אִיּוֹב י, יא). וְהֵם בְּחִינַת עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁמוֹנֶה אַתְוָן דְּעֻבְדָּא דִּבְרֵאשִׁית (כַּנַּ"ל סִימָן מ"ד) שֶׁבָּהֶם נִבְרָא הָעוֹלָם, וַעֲשָׂרָה מַאֲמָרוֹת שֶׁבָּהֶם נִבְרָא הָעוֹלָם מְקַבְּלִין כֹּחַ מִכ"ח אַתְוָן אֵלּוּ. וְאֵלּוּ הַדִּבּוּרִים שֶׁמְּדַבֵּר בְּכֹחַ, הֵם עַצְמָן הַדִּבּוּרִים שֶׁל הַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־הוּא, בְּחִינַת: "וָאָשִׂם דְּבָרַי בְּפִיךָ" וְגוֹ' (יְשַׁעְיָה נא, טז). וְהַמַּאֲמָרוֹת הַנַּ"ל הֵם בְּחִינַת חֶסֶד, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב: "אָמַרְתִּי עוֹלָם חֶסֶד יִבָּנֶה" (תְּהִלִּים פט, ג) בְּחִינַת סֻכָּה, שֶׁהִיא בְּחִינַת חִבּוּק יַד יָמִין, וְזֶהוּ: "וּבְצֵל יָדִי כִּסִּיתִיךָ", עַל־יְדֵי "וָאָשִׂים דְּבָרַי בְּפִיךָ" כַּנַּ"ל:

The vowel "tzairay" [two horizontal dots] is the aspect of "vayitzer" [and He formed] — the aspect of "Binah" — for there the child is formed — as it is written: ""if you call out to understanding"" [Proverbs 2:3]. And it is the aspect of a "Sukkah" — as it is written: ""You sheltered me in my mother's womb"" [Psalms 139:13]. And it is the aspect of what one prays — with strength — placing all one's power into the letters of the prayer — in the aspect of: ""all my bones shall say"" [Psalms 35:10] — the aspect of a "Sukkah" — as it is written: ""and with bones and sinews You sheltered me"" [Job 10:11]. And these are the aspect of the twenty-eight letters of the act of Creation (as above §44) — through which the world was created. And the ten utterances through which the world was created receive their power from these twenty-eight letters. And these words one speaks with strength — they are themselves the very words of the Holy One, blessed be He — the aspect of: ""and I have placed My words in your mouth"" etc. [Isaiah 51:16]. And the above-mentioned utterances are the aspect of chesed — as it is written: ""I said: the world shall be built with chesed"" [Psalms 89:3] — the aspect of a "Sukkah" — which is the aspect of the embrace of the right hand. And this is: ""and with the shadow of My hand I covered you"" — through ""and I have placed My words in your mouth"" as above.

ב. אֲבָל הַדִּבּוּרִים שֶׁאֵינָם דִּבּוּרִים קְדוֹשִׁים, גּוֹרְמִים שֶׁנִּתְעוֹרֵר חַס וְשָׁלוֹם סֻכַּת נוֹצְרִים סֻכַּת עַכּוּ"ם, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב: "אֲשֶׁר פִּיהֶם דִּבֶּר שָׁוְא וִימִינָם יְמִין שָׁקֶר" (תְּהִלִּים קמד, ח), שֶׁהוּא חִבּוּק דְּסִטְרָא אַחֲרָא, וּמִתְגַּבֵּר חַס וְשָׁלוֹם יְמִין שֶׁקֶר, וּמִתְגַּבֵּר גָּלוּת אֻמּוֹת, הָעוֹלָם וְנִתְרַחֲקִים מִקְּדֻשַּׁת אֶרֶץ־יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְעַל־יְדֵי־זֶה נִתְעַלֵּם הָאֱמֶת וְהָרַבִּי, הָאֱמֶת וּמִתְגַּבֵּר חַס וְשָׁלוֹם רִיב וּמַחֲלֹקֶת, וַאֲזַי הַשְּׁכִינָה הִיא רִיב עִם קֻדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא עַל בְּנָהָא בְּגָלוּתָא (תִּקּוּן כ"א מ"ד), שֶׁגָּלוּ מֵעַל שֻׁלְחַן אֲבִיהֶם וּמֵאַרְצָם יָצָאוּ:

But words that are not holy words — they cause — G-d forbid — the hut of watchmen [sukas notzrim] — the hut of the nations — to be aroused. As it is written: ""whose mouths speak vanity — and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood"" [Psalms 144:8] — which is the embrace of the Other Side. And the false right [y'min sheker] grows stronger — G-d forbid. And the exile of the nations of the world grows stronger — and one becomes distanced from the holiness of the Land of Israel. And through this truth and the true teacher [Rebbe ha-emes] become concealed — and strife and conflict grow stronger — G-d forbid. And then the "Shechinah" has a quarrel with the Holy One, blessed be He, over her children in exile [Tikun 21, 44a] — who went into exile from their Father's table and were expelled from their land.

ג. עַל־כֵּן סֻכָּה הִיא סְגֻלָּה לְבָנִים, וְהַיְנוּ גַּם כֵּן תְּפִלָּה בְּכֹחַ כַּנַּ"ל, וְכֵן אֶרֶץ־יִשְׂרָאֵל שָׁלֹשְׁתָּם סְגֻלָּה לְבָנִים, וְכֻלָּם הֵם בְּחִינָה אַחַת וּתְלוּיִים זֶה בָּזֶה. וְזוֹכִין לָבוֹא לְאֶרֶץ־יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל־יְדֵי תְּפִלָּה בְּכֹחַ, וְכֵן עַל־יְדֵי מִצְוַת סֻכָּה, כִּי עִקַּר אֶרֶץ־יִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא עַל־יְדֵי כֹּחַ מַעֲשָׂיו וְכוּ', בְּחִינַת תְּפִלָּה בְּכֹחַ (כַּנַּ"ל סִימָן מ"ד):

Therefore the "Sukkah" is a "segulah" [spiritual remedy] for children. And likewise prayer with strength as above — and likewise the Land of Israel. All three are a "segulah" for children — and all are the same aspect and are connected to one another. And one merits to come to the Land of Israel through prayer with strength — and likewise through the commandment of "Sukkah". For the primary basis of the Land of Israel is through the power of His deeds [koach ma'asav] etc. — the aspect of prayer with strength (as above §44).

ד. וְכֵן שְׁלֹשְׁתָּם מַצִּילִים מֵרִיב וּמַחֲלֹקֶת, בְּחִינַת: "תִּצְפְּנֵם בְּסֻכָּה מֵרִיב לְשׁוֹנוֹת" (תְּהִלִּים לא, כא), שֶׁלֹּא יִתְגַּבְּרוּ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם לְשׁוֹנוֹת הָעַכּוּ"ם, כִּי אָז יִתְקַיֵּם: "אָז אֶהְפֹּךְ אֶל עַמִּים שָׂפָה בְרוּרָה" וְגוֹ' (צְפַנְיָה ג, ט), וְיִהְיֶה שָׂפָה אַחַת לְעָבְדוֹ שְׁכֶם אֶחָד, וְאָז נִדְחֶה הַשֶּׁקֶר וְיִתְגַּבֵּר וְיִתְגַּלֶּה הָאֱמֶת בָּעוֹלָם, וְיִזְכּוּ כֻּלָּם לֵידַע מֵהָרַבִּי הָאֱמֶת שֶׁבַּדּוֹר שֶׁיִּתְפַּרְסֵם וְיִתְגַּלֶּה, וְעַל־יְדֵי־זֶה הַכֹּל יַחְזְרוּ לְהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ, וַאֲפִלּוּ אֻמּוֹת הָעוֹלָם, לְעָבְדוֹ שְׁכֶם אֶחָד בִּמְהֵרָה בְיָמֵינוּ אָמֵן:

And likewise all three save from strife and conflict — in the aspect of: ""He shelters them in a Sukkah from the strife of tongues"" [Psalms 31:21] — that the tongues of the nations should not prevail — G-d forbid. For then: ""then I will transform the peoples to a pure language"" etc. [Zephaniah 3:9] — and there will be one language to serve Him shoulder to shoulder. And then falsehood is pushed away and truth grows strong and is revealed in the world. And all will merit to know the true teacher of the generation who will become widely known and revealed. And through this everyone will return to Hashem Yisborach — even the nations of the world — to serve Him shoulder to shoulder — speedily in our days — Amen.
