The impurity of a nocturnal occurrence [tum'as mikreh laylah] comes through the husk "Lilit" — and its nurture from the six letters of the "alef-beis" that when written out in full spelling contain the letter "peh" [namely: "alef, kaf, chaf, peh, feh, kuf"] — and six times "peh" has the numerical value of 480 — the numerical value of her name. And then from "peh" is made "af" — the strengthening of the judgments that take revenge upon him — G-d have mercy. And the rectification for this is to give charity in secret [matana b'saser]. For through this one redeems the holy sparks from the husk. And then "af" is transformed back into the letter "peh". And this is: ""a hidden gift suppresses anger [af]"" [Proverbs 21:14] — that is, it suppresses and transforms the "af" — and "peh" is made.
