תּוֹרָה צא צָרִיךְ שֶׁיִּהְיֶה הָאֱמוּנָה חֲזָקָה מְאֹד מְאֹד, שֶׁתִּתְפַּשֵּׁט הָאֱמוּנָה בְּכָל הָאֵיבָרִים, וְאָז יוּכַל לִזְכּוֹת לָבוֹא אֶל הַשֵּׂכֶל עַל־יְדֵי הָאֱמוּנָה, הַיְנוּ שֶׁהַדָּבָר שֶׁהָיָה צָרִיךְ מִתְּחִלָּה לְהַאֲמִין מֵחֲמַת שֶׁלֹּא הֵבִין הַדָּבָר, זוֹכֶה אַחַר־כָּךְ לַהֲבִינוֹ בַּשֵּׂכֶל. אַךְ אַחַר־כָּךְ יֵשׁ לוֹ דְּבָרִים גְּבֹהִים יוֹתֵר שֶׁאֵינוֹ יָכוֹל לַהֲבִינָם בַּשֵּׂכֶל, צָרִיךְ לְהִתְחַזֵּק יוֹתֵר בֶּאֱמוּנָה לְהַאֲמִין בַּמֶּה שֶׁאֵינוֹ מֵבִין עֲדַיִן בְּשִׂכְלוֹ, עַד שֶׁיִּזְכֶּה לְהָבִין גַּם אֵלּוּ הַדְּבָרִים, וְכֵן לְעוֹלָם:
Faith must be very very strong — so that faith spreads through all the limbs. And then one can merit to come to intellect through faith — that is, what one had to believe at first because one did not understand the matter — one afterwards merits to understand it with the intellect. But afterwards there are higher matters that one cannot yet understand with the intellect — one must strengthen oneself further in faith — to believe in what one does not yet understand with one's intellect — until one merits to understand these things too. And so always.
