תּוֹרָה כז מִי שֶׁהוּא פַּרְנָס אוֹ מַנְהִיג, וְהוּא מַנְהִיג בְּכַשְׁרוּת וּבְיֹשֶׁר, וְרוֹאֶה וּמִסְתַּכֵּל לְהַטִּיל הַמַּשְּׂאוֹי שֶׁל מִסִּים וְאַרְנוֹנִיּוֹת עַל כָּל אֶחָד כָּרָאוּי לוֹ בְּיֹשֶׁר, לְהַכְבִּיד עַל זֶה וּלְהָקֵל עַל־זֶה כָּרָאוּי, עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה מְבַטֵּל הָאַרְבַּע מִדּוֹת רָעוֹת, דְּהַיְנוּ עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה וְגִלּוּי עֲרָיוֹת וּשְׁפִיכוּת דָּמִים וְלָשׁוֹן הָרָע:
There are distinctions among Toirahs. There are those given to be written — and there are those not given to be written. And one who knows how to distinguish and recognise among the Toirahs — which were given to be written and which were not given to be written — can recognise the Jewish man — even if standing among many nations.
