124 – Song Psalm to the Conductor, Sing to Him Who Is Conquered and Is Happy “Song psalm to the conductor: sing to Him who is conquered and is happy.” ( Pesachim 119a) Because when one speaks before the Holy One, blessed be He, and articulates his discourse in claims and requests, he desires to conquer the Holy One as if. The Name, blessed be He, delights in this—and therefore He sends him words through which he may conquer Him, in order to receive pleasure. Without this, certainly flesh and blood could not conquer the Holy One. Yet the Name, blessed be He, Himself sends and invites him with words and requests to conquer Him as above.
