נִדְבוֹת פִּי רְצֵה נָא יְהֹוָה וּמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ לַמְּדֵנִי. דֶּרֶךְ פִּקוּדֶיךָ הֲבִינֵנִי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְּנִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָ. דֶּרֶךְ שֶׁקֶר הָסֵר מִמֶּנִּי וְתוֹרָתְךָ חָנֵּנִי. רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם, מָלֵא רַחֲמִים, נוֹתֵן הַתּוֹרָה, עָזְרֵנוּ וְהוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ וְזַכֵּנוּ לַעֲסֹק בְּתוֹרָתְךָ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה. קַדְּשֵׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתֶיךָ וְתֵן חֶלְקֵנוּ בְּתוֹרָתֶךָ, וּתְטַהֵר רַעְיוֹנַי וְלִבִּי לַעֲבוֹדָתֶךָ, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לִלְמֹד תּוֹרָה לִשְׁמָהּ בֶּאֱמֶת, שֶׁיִּהְיֶה כָּל כַּוָּנָתִי בְּלִמּוּדִי בֶּאֱמֶת לְשִׁמְךָ לְבַד, בְּלִי שׁוּם פְּנִיּוֹת וּמַחֲשָׁבוֹת אֲחֵרוֹת כְּלָל, בִּלְתִּי לַיהֹוָה לְבַדּוֹ, וְאַתָּה בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ תַּעַזְרֵנִי בְּכָל־עֵת לְקַדֵּשׁ וּלְטַהֵר עַצְמִי כָּרָאוּי. עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה שֶׁיִּהְיֶה כָּל לִמּוּדִי בִּשְׁבִיל שְׁכִינַת עֻזֶּךָ, לַאֲקָמָא שְׁכִינְתָּא מֵעַפְרָא, עַד שֶׁיַּעֲלֶה כָּל לִמּוּדִי לְהַשְּׁכִינָה שֶׁהִיא אֶמְצָעִי בֵּינוֹ יִתְבָּרַךְ, וּבֵין הָעוֹלָם. וּתְקַבֵּל הַשְּׁכִינָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה כָּל לִמּוּד תּוֹרָתִי בְּאַהֲבָה גְּדוֹלָה, וְעַל־יְדֵי־זֶה תַמְשִׁיךְ עָלֵינוּ כָּל הַהַשְׁפָּעוֹת, וְיִהְיֶה נַעֲשֶׂה מִלִּמּוּד תּוֹרָתֵנוּ שֶׁפַע רוּחָנִיּוּת וְשֶׁפַע גַּשְׁמִיּוּת, שֶׁתַּעֲלֶה הַשֶּׁפַע מֵעֵסֶק תּוֹרָתֵנוּ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה לְהַחֲיוֹת כָּל הָעוֹלָמוֹת הָעֶלְיוֹנִים, וְכָל הַמַּלְאָכִים וּשְׂרָפִים וְאוֹפַנִּים וְחַיּוֹת הַקֹּדֶשׁ, וְכָל דָּרֵי מַעְלָה. וְגַם תֵּרֵד הַשֶּׁפַע גַּשְׁמִיּוּת עַל־יְדֵי לִמּוּד תּוֹרָתֵנוּ לְכָל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַמֶּךָ, וְתַשְׁפִּיעַ לָנוּ עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה, בָּנֵי חַיֵּי וּמְזוֹנֵי בְּשֶׁפַע גָּדוֹל דִּקְדֻשָּׁה, עֹשֶׁר וְכָבוֹד וְחַיִּים, וּצְדָקָה וּבְרָכָה וְרַחֲמִים וְחַיִּים וְשָׁלוֹם וְכָל טוֹב בָּזֶה וּבַבָּא:
By Your counsel You shall guide me; and afterward You shall take me with honor [Psalms 73:24].
יט לַחֹדֶשׁ
וּבְכֵן תְּרַחֵם עָלֵינוּ וְתַעַזְרֵנוּ וְתוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ שֶׁכָּל הָאֵדִים וְהָאֲוִירִים שֶׁנִּשְׁאוֹב מֵהַתּוֹרוֹת שֶׁל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַמְּךָ הַקְּטַנִּים בְּמַעֲלָה, אֲשֶׁר אֵין זוֹכִים שֶׁיִּהְיֶה לִמּוּדָם עוֹלֶה לְהַשְּׁכִינָה, אֲשֶׁר לִמּוּדָם נִתְפַּזֵּר בָּאֲוִיר בַּלַּיְלָה עַל־יְדֵי הָרוּחַ הַקַּר שֶׁל כָּל הַגַּרְדִּינֵי נִמּוּסִין הַיּוֹצְאִין בַּלַּיְלָה וּמַכֶּה עֲלֵיהֶם וְכָל בְּנֵי עוֹלָם שׁוֹאֲבִין מֵאֵדִים אֵלּוּ, אָנָּא יְהֹוָה, עוֹשֵׂה נִפְלָאוֹת גְּדוֹלוֹת לְבַדֶּךָ, רַחֵם עָלֵינוּ לְמַעַנְךָ, וְזַכֵּנוּ שֶׁנִּשְׁאוֹב וּנְקַבֵּל מֵאֵלּוּ הָאֵדִים שֶׁל אֵלּוּ הַתּוֹרוֹת לְטוֹבָה, שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה שֶׁיִּהְיֶה נַעֲשָׂה אֶצְלֵנוּ מֵהֶם טַל תּוֹרָה, טַל אוֹרוֹת, סַם חַיִּים, וְעַל־יְדֵי־זֶה נִזְכֶּה לְהִתְעוֹרֵר בְּכָל יוֹם בְּהִתְעוֹרְרוּת חָדָשׁ בְּחֵשֶׁק נִמְרָץ וְהִשְׁתּוֹקְקוּת גָּדוֹל לַעֲסֹק בְּתוֹרָתְךָ וּבַעֲבוֹדָתְךָ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה בֶּאֱמֶת, וְתִהְיֶה תוֹרָתְךָ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה חֲדָשָׁה בְּעֵינֵינוּ לְגַמְרֵי בְּכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם. וְנִזְכֶּה לַעֲלוֹת מַעְלָה מַעְלָה בִּקְדֻשָּׁתְךָ הָעֶלְיוֹנָה, עַד שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה לְחַדֵּשׁ חִדּוּשִׁין דְּאוֹרַיְיתָא אֲמִתִּיִּים עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה, עַל־יְדֵי שֶׁנְּקַבֵּל וְנִשְׁאֹב מֵאֵלּוּ הָאֵדִים הַנִּמְשָׁכִין מִכַּמָּה וְכַמָּה תּוֹרוֹת שֶׁל כַּמָּה בְּנֵי אָדָם, וְיִצְטָרְפוּ אֶצְלֵנוּ צֵרוּפִים חֲדָשִׁים קְדוֹשִׁים בְּתוֹרָתְךָ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה, עַד שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה לְחַדֵּשׁ חִדּוּשִׁין אֲמִתִּיִּים בְּתוֹרָתְךָ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה בְּכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם כִּרְצוֹנְךָ הַטּוֹב. וְתִשְׁמְרֵנוּ וְתַצִּילֵנוּ בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים וּבַחֲסָדֶיךָ הַגְּדוֹלִים, שֶׁלֹּא יַזִּיק לָנוּ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם בְּחִינַת הַטַּל הַזֶּה הַנַּעֲשָׂה מֵאֵלּוּ הַתּוֹרוֹת הַמִּתְפַּזְּרִים בָּאֲוִיר, שֶׁלֹּא יַגִּיעַ לָנוּ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה, הִתְעוֹרְרוּת לִרְדִיפַת הַמַּשָּׂא וּמַתָּן וְהַשְׁלֹשִׁים וְתֵשַׁע מְלָאכוֹת. וְתַצִּילֵנוּ מִתַּאֲוַת מָמוֹן וּמֵרְדִיפַת וְטִרְדּוֹת הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וַהֲבָלָיו, רַק נִזְכֶּה לְהַשְׁלִיךְ יְהָבֵנוּ עַל יְהֹוָה, וְלִבְטֹחַ בְּךָ לְבַד שֶׁאַתָּה תְּכַלְכְּלֵנוּ וּתְפַרְנְסֵנוּ בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים בְּעִתּוֹ וּבִזְמַנּוֹ, וְלֹא נִיגַע לָרִיק וְלֹא נֵלֵד לַבֶּהָלָה, רַק כָּל תְּשׁוּקָתֵנוּ יִהְיֶה לְתוֹרָתְךָ וְלַעֲבוֹדָתְךָ בֶּאֱמֶת תָּמִיד יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה. וְנִתְעוֹרֵר בְּכָל יוֹם וּבְכָל־עֵת וּבְכָל שָׁעָה בְּהִתְעוֹרְרוּת וְחֵשֶׁק וְרָצוֹן חָדָשׁ לְגַמְרֵי אֵלֶיךָ וּלְתוֹרָתְךָ וְלַעֲבוֹדָתְךָ בֶּאֱמֶת וּבְלֵב שָׁלֵם כִּרְצוֹנְךָ הַטּוֹב, עַד שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה לַעֲסֹק בְּתוֹרָתְךָ לִשְׁמָהּ כָּל יְמֵי חַיֵּנוּ, וְלָשׁוּב אֵלֶיךָ בֶּאֱמֶת וּלְקַיֵּם מִצְוֹתֶיךָ וּלְהִתְדַּבֵּק בְּךָ תָמִיד מֵעַתָּה וְעַד עוֹלָם, אָמֵן סֶלָה:
Create for me a pure heart O G‑d — and renew a correct spirit within me [Psalms 51:12]. Master of the Universe — Who hears and hearkens and listens to the voice of our prayers and our conversations and our supplications: teach me how I should now take new and beautiful words to appease You and to conciliate You; that You do through Your mercies — that I walk in Your statutes and observe Your commandments [Ezekiel 36:27]. For this how long I have been crying out and supplicating and multiplying prayers and conversations — and all my intent in all of them was that I merit to return to You in truth speedily. And still I have not been saved. And I know that the obstacle is from me — through my stubbornness and my evil desires and the great foolishness of my mind. But I know no way at all how to go out from all this; and new words have been exhausted from me — for there is no word on my tongue: Behold Hashem — You know all of it entirely [Psalms 139:4]. I was dumb with silence; I held my peace from good — and my pain was stirred [Psalms 39:3]. I was struck dumb — I would not open my mouth; for You have done this [Psalms 39:10]. And You know — our Father in Heaven — that all my hope and all my trust is upon prayer and supplication and crying out and beseeching to You. But how does one take new words as I need every single day; in such a manner that I merit to appease You in truth — that You return me to You speedily. And may their holy wisdom illuminate within me. Full of mercy — Who has compassion on the poor; Who devises my repair even now: open Your mouth for the mute as I am; teach me what I shall speak; make me understand what I shall ask. O Lord — open my lips; and my mouth shall declare Your praise [Psalms 51:17]. Have mercy upon me and be in my help — that I merit to multiply in conversation [sicha] — which is prayer [zo tefillah] — between me and my Maker every single day all the days of my life. And may You cause to flow upon me new and holy and beautiful words at every time; give me new words — full of mercy; in such a manner that I merit to save my soul [l'hatzil nafshi] through them from what I need to be saved in this world and in the World to Come; and to return to You in truth and with a whole heart as Your good will desires; and not return again to my folly; If I have acted wickedly — I shall not continue [Job 34:32]. Have mercy upon me with new mercies — through the merit of the great and perfect tzadikim upon whom we lean always; who merited to be renewed at every time — every day and at every time and at every hour. For You know that all our reliance is upon them; and through the greatness of their power we have something to lean upon even now — even in the immensity of our smallness and our lowliness, G‑d forbid. Save us through their merit and purify our hearts for Your service in truth. Restore me and I shall return — for You are Hashem my G‑d [Jeremiah 31:18]. For it is revealed and known before You that I am filled with words [malasi millim] — but am unable to bring them out through the mouth [Job 32:18]. Give me speech of repentance [dibbur shel teshuvah]; for I shall not hold back my mouth from speaking before You all that enters into my mouth [Job 33:32]. But may Your mercies precede me and help me — that I not say anything that is not as Your will desires, G‑d forbid; for You desire lovingkindness and multiply doing good; and You desire my repair and my good even now. Help me and save me for the sake of Your Name — for because of the great turbidity of my mind — therefore my words even now have stumbled [cf. Psalms 38:15]. But I am compelled and obligated to speak and to converse and to supplicate before You as long as my soul is within me; as long as the soul is within me — and do what is good in Your eyes with me.
