My soul cleaves after You — Your right hand holds me fast [ Psalms 63:9 ]. I cleave to Your testimonies — Hashem, do not put me to shame [ Psalms 119:31 ]. My Father — Compassionate Father: help me through Your abundant mercies and Your great lovingkindnesses — that I merit to cleave myself to You always at every time, in truth and in complete faith and with sound and settled knowledge, in great holiness and purity. And may I merit to examine myself at every time — whether I am truly cleaving to the blessed Name; until I merit to fulfill the commandment and to Him shall you cleave in truth — in the ultimate completeness as Your good will desires.

דָּבְקָה נַפְשִׁי אַחֲרֶיךָ בִּי תָּמְכָה יְמִינֶךָ. דָּבַקְתִּי בְעֵדְוֹתֶיךָ יְהֹוָה אַל־תְּבִישֵׁנִי. אָבִי אָב הָרַחֲמָן, עָזְרֵנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים וּבַחֲסָדֶיךָ הַגְּדוֹלִים, שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְדַבֵּק עַצְמִי אֵלֶיךָ תָמִיד בְּכָל עֵת, בֶּאֱמֶת וּבֶאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה וּבְדֵעָה נְכוֹנָה וּמְיֻשֶּׁבֶת, בִּקְדֻשָּׁה וּבְטָהֳרָה גְּדוֹלָה. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְפַשְׁפֵּשׁ עַצְמִי בְּכָל עֵת, אִם אֲנִי דָבוּק בְּהַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ בֶּאֱמֶת, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְקַיֵּם מִצְוַת וּבוֹ תִדְבָּק בֶּאֱמֶת, בְּתַכְלִית הַשְּׁלֵמוּת כִּרְצוֹנְךָ הַטּוֹב:

And grant me merit through Your abundant mercies to fulfill the commandment of tefillin as is fitting — with all its particulars and minutiae and intentions and the 613 commandments dependent upon it. And may I merit to lay every day tefillin that are valid and holy — [written] from a fitting and truly righteous scribe; and may they be written in great holiness and with immense and awe-inspiring intention — as it is fitting to intend at the time of writing the tefillin and their fashioning. And the writing of the passages and the fashioning of the housings and the straps and their sewing with sinews and all the fashioning details of the tefillin — may all of it be done in the best and most fitting manner according to the laws of the holy Torah. And may my tefillin always be valid in all the particulars of their laws — and most beautiful in the ultimate beauty and splendor; and holy in the ultimate holiness. And may I merit to lay the tefillin of Rashi and the tefillin of Rabbainu Tam every day. And may I merit to lay them in their proper place upon the head and upon the arm — with very, very great and immense joy and delight; and with great, immense, and awe-inspiring intention; and with great arousal in great joy; until I merit that great and immense holiness be drawn upon me through the laying of the most holy and awe-inspiring tefillin. And may the holiness of the tefillin be drawn upon me from their supernal root in Your supernal holiness — until I merit to great cleaving to You in truth through the commandment of tefillin. And may I never allow my mind to be diverted from the tefillin; and may I not speak any idle talk at all at the time when I am crowned with the tefillin — in the crowns of the supernal King [ kitrei d'malka ila'ah ], girded with the supernal weapon [ chagirat zayna ila'ah ]. And may I merit to be crowned with the crown and diadem of glory of the holy tefillin — with great and immense awe and fear; with a good heart and with great and immense joy and delight; in such a manner that I merit to fulfill the commandment of tefillin in the fitting completeness as Your good will desires. Until I merit to cleave to You always through the holiness of the most awe-inspiring tefillin. Our Father in Heaven — Who takes pity upon the poor: have pity upon us and help us and be gracious to us in the holiness of the tefillin. And just as You granted us merit and gave us through Moshe Your servant this great commandment — so may You be gracious to us and grant us merit through Your mercies to truly and with great completeness fulfill this commandment of tefillin. And may we merit to always cleave to You — and may our iniquities not cause, G‑d forbid, any separation between us and You; for You are a G‑d of forgiveness [ Eloah selichos ]. And through Your abundant mercies may You grant us merit to return in complete repentance to You in truth — and may we merit to always be ashamed before You in truth, for the immense abundance of our transgressions and our sins against You, blessed be He. And through Your great lovingkindness may You forgive us for all our iniquities and sins and transgressions that we sinned and transgressed and rebelled before You from the day we came upon the earth until this very day. And may You repair through Your mercies all the blemishes we blemished in Your great Name — until we merit to always draw upon ourselves the holiness of the tefillin in truth; until we merit to always cleave to You with a wondrous and immense cleaving; with longing and passion and desire and yearning and great love toward You in truth as Your good will desires. As it is written: My soul pines for Your salvation — in Your word do I hope [ Psalms 119:81 ]. My flesh and my heart fail — Rock of my heart and my portion is G‑d forever [ Psalms 73:26 ]. One thing have I asked of Hashem — that shall I seek: to dwell in the House of Hashem all the days of my life; to behold the pleasantness of Hashem and to visit in His sanctuary [ Psalms 27:4 ]. And therefore — may it be the will before You, Hashem our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers: that You help me and guard me and save me from evil speech — and may I never blemish the speech of my mouth; and may no evil word go forth from my mouth against any Israelite in the world. And may I not investigate after the faults of people; rather may You help me and incline my heart — that I always merit to investigate after every merit and good that it is possible to find in each and every one of Israel, even in the worst of the worst. And may I merit to toil and to labor after this — to try to find some merit even in the most inferior of the inferior. And may You be with me always and help me that I succeed in always meriting to find in them some side of merit and good. And may I merit to always judge every person to the scale of merit [ kaf zechus ]. And may You save me through Your abundant mercies from the very great and severe iniquity — which is the iniquity of lashon hara and slander, which is exceedingly severe: equivalent in weight to the three major sins of the Torah which are: idolatry and sexual immorality and bloodshed — and the iniquity of lashon hara is equivalent in weight to all of them. Master of the entire universe [ Mara d'alma kola ] — have mercy upon me for Your sake; and be with my mouth always at the time of my speaking. And grant me merit to guard the openings of my mouth — that no word of lashon hara or even the dust of lashon hara go forth from my mouth against any Israelite in the world; and no unseemly utterance. And may You save me from every kind of evil speech — from lashon hara and slander and idle talk and levity and flattery and lies; and from revealing secrets that need not be revealed; and from vulgar speech; and from revealing and speaking words of Torah and the fear of Heaven in a place and at a time that is not fitting to speak and reveal them. And from every kind of speech that is not good; and from every kind of vain breath that blemishes the holy speech — which is the breath of the mouth of the Holy One blessed be He. Our Father in Heaven — what shall we say before You Who dwell on high; and what shall we recount before You Who reside in the heavens? For through our very great habit of blemished speech we do not know any path of how to distance ourselves from it from now on. Therefore I have come before You, Hashem my G‑d and G‑d of my fathers — that You help me through Your mercies and guide me and teach me a straight path; in such a manner that I merit to guard myself through Your mercies — that I not stumble in any speech that is not good, and not say any word that is not Your will. And grant me merit to always be good to all — and may I never investigate after the faults of people, G‑d forbid. Rather on the contrary — may I always strive with all power and might and force to always find merit and good in each and every one of the children of Israel Your holy people: even in the most inferior of the inferior; and even in the most trivial of the trivial; even in those who dispute and pursue me — all of them may I merit through Your mercies to always judge them to the scale of merit. And may You give me intellect and knowledge from Yourself — how to search and find in them merit and good points always.

וְזַכֵּנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים לְקַיֵּם מִצְוַת תְּפִלִּין כָּרָאוּי, בְּכָל פְּרָטֶיהָ וְדִקְדּוּקֶיהָ וְכַוָּנוֹתֶיהָ וְתַרְיַ"ג מִצְוֹת הַתְּלוּיִם בָּהּ, וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהָנִיחַ בְּכָל יוֹם תְּפִלִּין כְּשֵׁרִים וּקְדוֹשִׁים מִסּוֹפֵר הָגוּן וְצַדִּיק אֲמִתִּי, וְיִהְיוּ נִכְתָּבִין בִּקְדֻשָּׁה גְּדוֹלָה וּבְכַוָּנָה עֲצוּמָה וְנוֹרָאָה כָּרָאוּי לְכַוֵּן בִּשְׁעַת כְּתִיבַת הַתְּפִלִּין וְתִקּוּנָן. וּכְתִיבַת הַפַּרְשִׁיּוֹת וְתִקּוּן הַבָּתִּים וְהָרְצוּעוֹת וּתְפִירָתָן בְּגִידִין וְכָל תִּקּוּנֵי הַתְּפִלִּין, הַכֹּל יִהְיֶה נַעֲשֶׂה עַל צַד הַיּוֹתֵר טוֹב וְנָאוֹת כְּפִי דִינֵי הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה. וְיִהְיוּ הַתְּפִלִּין שֶׁלִּי כְּשֵׁרִים תָּמִיד בְּכָל פְּרָטֵי דִינֵיהֶם, וְנָאִים בְּיוֹתֵר בְּתַכְלִית הַנּוֹי וְהַיּוֹפִי, וּקְדוֹשִׁים בְּתַכְלִית הַקְּדֻשָּׁה. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהָנִיחַ תְּפִלִּין דְּרַשִׁ"י וּתְפִלִּין דְּרַבֵּנוּ־תָּם בְּכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהָנִיחָם בִּמְקוֹמָם הָרָאוּי עַל הָרֹאשׁ וְעַל הַזְּרֹעַ, בְּשִׂמְחָה רַבָּה וְחֶדְוָה גְּדוֹלָה וַעֲצוּמָה מְאֹד מְאֹד, וּבְכַוָּנָה גְּדוֹלָה עֲצוּמָה וְנוֹרָאָה, וּבְהִתְעוֹרְרוּת גָּדוֹל בְּשִׂמְחָה גְּדוֹלָה, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה שֶׁיִּהְיֶה נִמְשָׁךְ עָלַי קְדֻשָּׁה גְּדוֹלָה וַעֲצוּמָה, עַל־יְדֵי הֲנָחַת תְּפִלִּין הַקְּדוֹשִׁים וְהַנּוֹרָאִים מְאֹד מְאֹד. וְיִהְיֶה נִמְשָׁךְ עָלַי קְדֻשַּׁת הַתְּפִלִּין מִשָּׁרְשָׁם הָעֶלְיוֹן בִּקְדֻשָּׁתְךָ הָעֶלְיוֹנָה, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לִדְבֵקוּת גָּדוֹל אֵלֶיךָ בֶאֱמֶת עַל־יְדֵי מִצְוַת תְּפִלִּין. וְלֹא אָסִיחַ דַּעְתִּי מִן הַתְּפִלִּין לְעוֹלָם, וְלֹא אֲדַבֵּר שׁוּם שִׂיחָה בְּטֵלָה, בָּעֵת שֶׁאֲנִי מֻכְתָּר בִּתְפִלִּין, בְּכִתְרֵי דְּמַלְכָּא עִלָּאָה, בַּחֲגִירַת זַיְנָא עִלָּאָה. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהִתְעַטֵּר בְּנֵזֶר עֲטֶרֶת תִּפְאֶרֶת הַתְּפִלִּין הַקְּדוֹשִׁים, בְּאֵימָה וּבְיִרְאָה גְּדוֹלָה וַעֲצוּמָה בְּלֵב טוֹב וּבְשִׂמְחָה רַבָּה וְחֶדְוָה גְּדוֹלָה, בְּאֹפֶן שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְקַיֵּם מִצְוַת תְּפִלִּין בִּשְׁלֵמוּת הָרָאוּי כִּרְצוֹנְךָ הַטּוֹב, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְהִתְדַּבֵּק בְּךָ יִתְבָּרַךְ תָּמִיד עַל־יְדֵי קְדֻשַּׁת הַתְּפִלִּין הַנּוֹרָאִים. אָבִינוּ שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם חוֹמֵל דַּלִּים, חֲמֹל עָלֵינוּ וְעָזְרֵנוּ וְחָנֵּנוּ בִּקְדֻשַּׁת הַתְּפִלִּין, וּכְשֵׁם שֶׁזִּכִּיתָ אוֹתָנוּ וְנָתַתָּ לָנוּ עַל־יְדֵי מֹשֶׁה עַבְדֶּךָ מִצְוָה הַגְּדוֹלָה הַזֹּאת, כֵּן תְּחָנֵּנוּ וּתְזַכֵּנוּ בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ לְקַיֵּם בֶּאֱמֶת וּבִשְׁלֵמוּת גָּדוֹל מִצְוָה זֹאת שֶׁל תְּפִלִּין. וְנִזְכֶּה לְהִתְדַּבֵּק בְּךָ תָמִיד וְאַל יִגְרְמוּ עֲוֹנוֹתֵינוּ לְהַפְסִיק חַס וְשָׁלוֹם בֵּינֵינוּ לְבֵינְךָ, כִּי אַתָּה אֱלוֹהַּ סְלִיחוֹת. וּבְרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים תְּזַכֵּנוּ לָשׁוּב בִּתְשׁוּבָה שְׁלֵמָה אֵלֶיךָ בֶאֱמֶת, וְנִזְכֶּה לְהִתְבַּיֵשׁ מִמְּךָ תָמִיד בֶּאֱמֶת עַל עֹצֶם פְּשָׁעֵינוּ וְחַטֹּאתֵינוּ נֶגְדְּךָ תִּתְבָּרַךְ. וּבְחַסְדְּךָ הַגָּדוֹל תִּמְחֹל לָנוּ עַל כָּל עֲוֹנוֹתֵינוּ וַחֲטָאֵינוּ וּפְשָׁעֵינוּ שֶׁחָטָאנוּ וְשֶׁעָוִינוּ וְשֶׁפָּשַׁעְנוּ לְפָנֶיךָ מִיּוֹם הֱיוֹתֵינוּ עַל הָאֲדָמָה עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה. וּתְתַקֵּן בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ כָּל הַפְּגָמִים שֶׁפָּגַמְנוּ בְּשִׁמְךָ הַגָּדוֹל, עַד שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה לְהַמְשִׁיךְ עָלֵינוּ תָמִיד קְדֻשַּׁת הַתְּפִלִּין בֶּאֱמֶת, עַד שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה לְהִתְדַּבֵּק בְּךָ תָמִיד בִּדְבֵקוּת נִפְלָא וְעָצוּם, בִּתְשׁוּקָה וְחֶשְׁקָה וַחֲפֵצָה וְחֶמְדָּה וְאַהֲבָה גְּדוֹלָה אֵלֶיךָ בֶאֱמֶת כִּרְצוֹנְךָ הַטּוֹב, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב, כָּלְתָה לִתְשׁוּעָתְךָ נַפְשִׁי לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָלְתִּי. כָּלָה שְׁאֵרִי וּלְבָבִי צוּר לְבָבִי וְחֶלְקִי אֱלֹהִים לְעוֹלָם. אַחַת שָׁאַלְתִּי מֵאֵת יְהֹוָה אוֹתָהּ אֲבַקֵּשׁ שִׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית יְהֹוָה כָּל יְמֵי חַיַּי לַחֲזוֹת בְּנֹעַם יְהֹוָה וּלְבַקֵּר בְּהֵיכָלוֹ:

And may You save me through Your mercies from the sitra of the end of all flesh [ sitra d'keitz kol basar ] — from all the evil people who are the brazen-faced of the generation; who always investigate and search after the faults of people; and who always seek to find some deficit and blemish in each and every one. Master of the Universe — save us through Your mercies from them and from their multitudes; and do not listen to their words — and may their accusations not rise before You at all; and may You close the curtain [ pargod ] before their evil words; and may their words not enter Your ear at all. For You know their evil heart — and they stand over us at every time and accuse us and seek to distance us, G‑d forbid, from Your true service; and from them came and fell upon us all the accusations and trials and confusions — through which we were distanced from Your true service. Master of the Universe! Master of the Universe! You know all that has passed over us until now — and all that passes over us at every time, every day and every hour; for many have arisen against us greatly [ Psalms 3:2 ]. Hashem — how many are my tormentors; many rise up against me [ Psalms 3:2 ]. They surround me like water all the day — they encircle upon me together [ Lamentations 3:54 ]. And in truth I know, Hashem my G‑d and G‑d of my fathers — that the iniquity is upon me myself; and I myself have caused all these upon my soul: through my not having guarded myself and having blemished the bris of the tongue and the bris of the flesh; and through these blemishes speech was drawn to them that has the power to speak and to accuse and to prosecute us, G‑d forbid. But You have already promised us, Hashem our G‑d — that You desire lovingkindness and You multiply goodness; and You desire the repentance of the wicked and do not desire their death. And You utterly hate and despise in the ultimate hatred and loathing all those who desire to stir up judgment and to accuse and to prosecute, G‑d forbid, against the children of Israel Your people — particularly at the time when they are under Your rebuke through their sins and transgressions and iniquities. Even though they have truly sinned before You — even so it is not Your will that they be prosecuted against Israel, G‑d forbid. And You choose and draw near and love those who have mercy upon Israel at that time — and engage in teaching merit about them at that time; and who surrender themselves to implore on their behalf and to entreat You for them: like Moshe Rabbainu, may he rest in peace, who surrendered himself for Israel and prayed for them always even at the time when they did what they did — and You through Your mercies always heard his prayer; and You loved him with every kind of affection because of this. And behold now — through our iniquities the chasid has perished from the earth and the upright among men there is none; and there is no one to stand up for us. And not only this is not sufficient for us; but furthermore many rise against us — very many; as You know. Upon whom then can we lean? Upon our Father in Heaven — He Who takes pity upon the poor: have pity upon our destitution; and see our lowliness and our shame. Look from the heavens and see that we have become a mockery and a taunt. All the day my disgrace is before me and the shame of my face has covered me — from the sound of the reproacher and reviler; from the face of the enemy and the vengeful one [ Psalms 44:16–17 ]. Look upon our affliction — for our pains and the sorrows of our hearts are many. Have pity upon us in the land of our captivity and do not pour Your wrath upon us — for we are Your people, the children of Your covenant. Help us — for upon You we lean. Rescuer of the poor from one stronger than him — and the poor and destitute from one who robs him [ Psalms 35:10 ]. Rescue me please from the hand of my enemies and from my pursuers! Rescue me, my Father in Heaven! Rescue me please — Strong Redeemer, Redeemer and Rescuer! Rescue us and deliver us and redeem us from every kind of enemy and accuser and prosecutor — in the physical and the spiritual. Have pity upon us for Your sake and for the sake of our fathers and for the sake of all the true tzadikim upon whom we always take refuge. O Knower of hidden things — mercy! mercy! Rescue! rescue! Save us and rescue us from the sword; from their mouth; from the hand of the mighty-destitute. And may You pour upon us power and might from Yourself — in the merit of the true tzadikim ; and help us and save us that we merit to humble and lower to the very ground all those who oppose the truth and dispute it. And may we merit to uproot and shatter and nullify all the accusers and slanderers who prosecute those from afar who come to draw near to You in truth — who desire to fear Your Name. Even though we are not worthy of drawing near to You according to our deeds — even so Your mercies are abundant, Hashem ; Your mercies are very abundant. Do with us as You will — and as Your will — so do with us. And who has made them a judge and a magistrate — to judge us, G‑d forbid, and to prosecute us, G‑d forbid? Who has requested this of their hand — to trample upon the persecuted, G‑d forbid? For You have smitten — and they pursued; and of the pain of Your slain they tell [ Psalms 69:27 ]. Let me fall please into the hand of Hashem — for His mercies are many; and into the hand of man let me not fall [ II Samuel 24:14 ]. Master of the Universe — Hearer of outcry from the very depths of the lowest depths: hear my outcry and my groan and my very bitter, very heavy, very deep sigh. O heavens — awaken to my pain and my persecution! For I myself pursue myself even more; and also others pursue me very greatly. And the war was upon me from front and back. Return, Hashem — until when? And relent concerning Your servants [ Psalms 90:13 ]. Ahah, Hashem ! Ahah, Hashem ! I spread out my palms before You from the depths of depths of depths; from the depths of the depths of concealment within concealment; from thousands and ten-thousands of concealments [ me'alafim u'revavos hestoros ]. It is very distressing to me, my Father in Heaven — it is very distressing and bitter to me, very distressing and bitter to me; and I have no language in the world to set forth my conversation and my anguish. You heard my voice — do not shut Your ear from my relief, from my cry [ Lamentations 3:56 ]. Be gracious to me and help me — that I merit to subdue the Sitra Achra , the sitra d'keitz kol basar , under the holy speech. And may I merit to extract the swallowed from their mouths — to extract from the Sitra Achra all the evil words and all the blemished words that they drew sustenance from: through the blemish of speech that I blemished in error and in deliberation, under compulsion and willingly. And may I merit through Your abundant mercies to repair all of them — until I merit to take out all the speech from the Sitra Achra and return them all to their root in holiness; until all wickedness vanishes like smoke and its sinfulness shuts its mouth; for all speakers of falsehood shall be silenced [ Psalms 31:19 ]. And may You fill their mouths with gravel — and may You twist and uproot the mouth and tongue of all the accusers and slanderers and evil speakers against Your people Israel — the fitting ones who desire to fear Your Name in truth; and may You place in their hearts that they turn from their evil way; and may they incline their hearts in truth toward the truth — and may the truth be revealed in the world. And may the verse be fulfilled: Let the wicked abandon his way — and the man of iniquity his thoughts; and let him return to Hashem and He will have mercy upon him; and to our G‑d — for He multiplies forgiveness [ Isaiah 55:7 ].

וּבְכֵן יְהִי רָצוֹן מִלְּפָנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתֵינוּ, שֶׁתַּעַזְרֵנִי וְתִשְׁמְרֵנִי וְתַצִּילֵנִי מִדִּבּוּרִים רָעִים וְלֹא אֶפְגֹּם אֶת דִּבּוּר פִּי לְעוֹלָם, וְלֹא יֵצֵא מִפִּי שׁוּם דִּבּוּר רָע עַל שׁוּם יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁבָּעוֹלָם, וְלֹא אֶחְקֹר אַחַר חוֹבוֹת בְּנֵי־אָדָם, רַק תַּעַזְרֵנִי וְתַטֶּה אֶת לְבָבִי שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לַחֲקֹר תָּמִיד אַחַר כָּל זְכוּת וָטוֹב שֶׁאֶפְשַׁר לִמְצֹא בְּכָל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל אֲפִלּוּ בְּהַגָּרוּעַ שֶׁבַּגְּרוּעִים, וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהִתְיַגֵּעַ וְלִטְרֹחַ אַחַר זֶה, לַחְתֹּר לִמְצֹא אֵיזֶה זְכוּת אֲפִלּוּ בְהַפָּחוּת שֶׁבַּפְּחוּתִים. וְתִהְיֶה עִמִּי תָמִיד וְתַעַזְרֵנִי שֶׁיַּעֲלֶה בְיָדִי שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לִמְצֹא בָהֶם תָּמִיד צַד זְכוּת וָטוֹב, וְאֶזְכֶּה לָדוּן אֶת כָּל אָדָם לְכַף זְכוּת תָּמִיד. וְתַצִּילֵנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים מֵעָוֹן הַגָּדוֹל וְהֶחָמוּר מְאֹד, שֶׁהוּא עָוֹן לְשׁוֹן הָרָע וּרְכִילוּת הֶחָמוּר בְּיוֹתֵר, הַשָּׁקוּל כְּנֶגֶד שָׁלֹשׁ הָעֲבֵרוֹת הַגְּדוֹלִים שֶׁבַּתּוֹרָה שֶׁהֵם, עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה וְגִלּוּי עֲרָיוֹת וּשְׁפִיכוּת דָּמִים, וְעָוֹן לְשׁוֹן הָרָע שָׁקוּל כְּנֶגֶד כֻּלָּם. מָרָא דְּעַלְמָא כֹּלָּא, רַחֵם עָלַי לְמַעַנְךָ, וֶהְיֵה עִם פִּי תָמִיד בְּעֵת דִּבּוּרִי. וְזַכֵּנִי שֶׁאֶשְׁמֹר פִּתְחֵי פִי שֶׁלֹּא יֵצֵא מִפִּי שׁוּם דִּבּוּר לְשׁוֹן הָרָע וַאֲבַק לְשׁוֹן הָרָע עַל שׁוּם יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁבָּעוֹלָם, וְלֹא דִּבּוּר שֶׁאֵינוֹ הָגוּן, וְתַצִּילֵנִי מִכָּל מִינֵי דִבּוּרִים רָעִים, מִלָּשׁוֹן הָרָע וּמֵרְכִילוּת וּמִדְּבָרִים בְּטֵלִים וּמִלֵּיצָנוּת וּמֵחֲנִיפוּת וּמִשְּׁקָרִים, וּמִלְּגַלּוֹת סוֹד שֶׁאֵין צְרִיכִים לְגַלּוֹת, וּמִנִּבּוּל פֶּה, וּמִלְּגַלּוֹת וְלוֹמַר דִּבְרֵי תוֹרָה וְיִרְאַת שָׁמַיִם בְּמָקוֹם וּבִזְמַן שֶׁאֵין רָאוּי לְאָמְרָם וּלְגַלּוֹתָם, וּמִכָּל מִינֵי דִבּוּרִים שֶׁאֵינָם טוֹבִים, וּמִכָּל מִינֵי הֶבֶל־פֶּה הַפּוֹגְמִין אֶת הַדִּבּוּר הַקָּדוֹשׁ שֶׁהוּא רוּחַ פִּיו שֶׁל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. אָבִינוּ שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם, מַה נֹּאמַר לְפָנֶיךָ יוֹשֵׁב מָרוֹם, וּמַה נְּסַפֵּר לְפָנֶיךָ שׁוֹכֵן שְׁחָקִים, כִּי מֵרֹב רְגִילוּתֵנוּ בְּדִבּוּרִים פְּגוּמִים אֵין אָנוּ יוֹדְעִים שׁוּם דֶּרֶךְ אֵיךְ לְהַרְחִיק עַצְמֵנוּ מֵהֶם מֵעַתָּה. עַל כֵּן בָּאתִי לְפָנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתַי, שֶׁתַּעַזְרֵנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ וְתַדְרִיכֵנִי וְתוֹרֵנִי דֶרֶךְ יְשָׁרָה, בְּאֹפֶן שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לִשְׁמֹר עַצְמִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ, שֶׁלֹּא אֶכָּשֵׁל בְּשׁוּם דִּבּוּר שֶׁאֵינוֹ טוֹב, וְלֹא אוֹמַר דָּבָר שֶׁלֹּא כִּרְצוֹנֶךָ. וּתְזַכֵּנִי לִהְיוֹת טוֹב לַכֹּל תָּמִיד, וְלֹא אֶחְקֹר לְעוֹלָם אַחַר חוֹבוֹת בְּנֵי אָדָם חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, רַק אַדְרַבָּא אֶזְכֶּה לְהִשְׁתַּדֵּל תָּמִיד בְּכָל כֹּחַ וָעֹז וּגְבוּרָה לִמְצֹא תָמִיד זְכוּת וָטוֹב בְּכָל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַמְּךָ הַקָּדוֹשׁ, אֲפִלּוּ בְּהַפָּחוּת שֶׁבַּפְּחוּתִים, וַאֲפִלּוּ בְּהַקַּל שֶׁבַּקַּלִּים, אֲפִלּוּ בְּהַחוֹלְקִים וְהָרוֹדְפִים אוֹתִי, כֻּלָּם אֶזְכֶּה בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ לַדוּנָם לְכַף זְכוּת תָּמִיד, וְתִתֶּן לִי שֵׂכֶל וָדַעַת מֵאִתְּךָ אֵיךְ לְחַפֵּשׂ וְלִמְצֹא בָּהֶם זְכוּת וּנְקֻדּוֹת טוֹבוֹת תָּמִיד:

And therefore — grant us merit through Your mercies, our Father — Compassionate Father; and help us to engage in Your holy Torah always day and night; and may I not lose any of my nights without study and engagement in Torah and service all the days of my life. And help me to banish sleep from my eyes — to study much of Your holy Torah; and to engage in many prayers and supplications and requests every night and every day. And be in my help always — that no force of any neglect in the world be able to prevent us, G‑d forbid, from Torah and service. And even at the time when it is distressing to a person, G‑d forbid — even when sitting in poverty and pressing need, G‑d forbid — may we even so merit through Your mercies to always engage in Torah and service; and may we never at all be idle from words of Torah. And You through Your mercies — have mercy upon us and see our affliction and our pressing need and our toil; and draw upon us a thread of lovingkindness [ chut shel chesed ] through Your abundant mercies and great lovingkindnesses. And may the light of lovingkindness from the morning of Avraham [ or hachesed mi'boker d'Avraham ] be drawn upon us; and like the light of morning may the light of lovingkindness and mercy and compassion and graciousness shine upon us. By day Hashem will command His lovingkindness — and by night His song shall be with me: a prayer to the G‑d of my life [ Psalms 42:9 ]. And through the light of lovingkindness of the morning of Avraham that You draw upon us through Your abundant mercies — through this may You grant us merit to subdue and to suppress the sitra d'keitz kol basar — which is the stormy wind [ ruach se'arah ] — under the holy speech. And may the verse be fulfilled: The stormy wind fulfills His word [ Psalms 148:8 ]. And may all the evil speech in the world be nullified from upon us and from within our borders — and may we merit to holy speech in completeness and to repair the blemish of speech. And may we merit that the speech go forth in holiness from our mouth in song and praise and jubilation and hallel to the blessed Name. And grant us merit from now — that no blemished speech at all go forth from our mouth; rather may all our speech be only holy speech: in Torah and prayer and supplications and requests and songs and praises and thanksgivings for Your great and holy Name; and in the fear of Heaven and the service of the blessed Name always — in truth and with a whole heart, in great holiness and purity as Your good will desires. May my mouth be filled with Your praise — all the day Your glory [ Psalms 71:8 ]. The praise of Hashem shall my mouth speak — and may all flesh bless His holy Name forever and ever [ Psalms 145:21 ]. I shall bless Hashem at all times — His praise is continually in my mouth [ Psalms 34:2 ]. My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness — all the day Your salvation [ Psalms 71:15 ]. I shall greatly praise Hashem with my mouth — and in the midst of the multitude I shall laud Him. For He stands at the right hand of the destitute — to save from those who judge his soul [ Psalms 109:30–31 ].

And therefore — help me through Your abundant mercies and Your great lovingkindnesses and Your immense goodnesses and Your true graciousness; and Your strong compassion and Your great love toward us always. And grant me merit and save me — that I merit to raise the speech to its root: which is the five fingers of the left arm [ chamishshah etzba'os shebizroa semol ], corresponding to the five articulation-points of the mouth [ chamishshah motzaos hapeh ]. And grant me merit through Your mercies to always set forth my speech before You in every day — in truth and with a whole heart. And all that is in my heart — may I always set it forth before You in truth and sincerity and with very great stirring of the heart. And may I merit to speak with the warmth of great holy fervor [ chamimus dikdushah ] — to stir my heart toward You; and to speak between myself and my Maker with a flame of the Gevuros [ shalheves hagvuros ]; and to be stirred to Your service in truth. And may I merit to speak with the warmth of the heart the true words of the heart — and to see my own smallness and lowliness and my immense and bitter pain; the pain of my iniquities and my sins and my transgressions that I sinned and transgressed and rebelled before You from my youth until this very day. And may You help me through Your abundant mercies that a great and immense shame be drawn upon me from You — and may I merit to be very, very ashamed before You because of the immense abundance of my transgressions and iniquities: before the Great and Sovereign One — the root and source of all worlds; Great and Sovereign over all; above all and there is nothing above Him; filling all worlds and surrounding all worlds and within all worlds and there is no place devoid of Him [ leis atar panui minei ] — before Whom all the creations above and all the creations below all tremble and fear from the awe of His great and holy Name blessed be He; and all of them fulfill His will with love in awe and fear and great dread. Who shall not fear You — who shall not tremble at Your Name? [ Jeremiah 10:7 ]. And through my many iniquities I have greatly multiplied transgressions against You blessed be He — until my heart became so very blocked that I am not even able to be ashamed before You as is fitting. I am not even ashamed — I am not even disgraced; I do not know how [ cf. Jeremiah 8:12 ]. And now — with what shall my many iniquities be atoned; and with what shall I appease and conciliate You, Hashem my G‑d and G‑d of my fathers? Have pity and compassion upon me — and grace me from Yourself with knowledge, understanding, and discernment: in such a manner that I merit to be very ashamed before You because of the greatness of my transgressions against You. And may I merit to speak and to set forth all my speech before You with great arousal — in flashes of a blazing burning fire; from the depth of the true heart. And may all my words be like coals of fire — as it is written: My heart was hot within me — in my musing a fire blazed; I spoke with my tongue [ Psalms 39:4 ]. And may I merit to stir my heart in truth to Your service and Your awe and Your Torah — and to always speak with the warmth of the heart the true words of the heart. And grant me merit to the point of the finest choice of the truth [ nikudas mivchar rosh ha'emes ]: that all my words be in truth indeed — in the ultimate point of the truth that You desire; as it is written: The beginning of Your word is truth — and all the ordinances of Your righteousness are everlasting [ Psalms 119:160 ]. And may I merit to multiply words of truth every day in a flame of the holy Gevuros — with warmth of heart; until I am truly stirred to Your service. And may shame and great fear be drawn upon me at every time before You. And may I speedily merit to complete repentance for all my many sins and iniquities and transgressions — and through Your abundant mercies may You forgive and pardon and atone for me for all of them. Even though it is entirely impossible for me to do repentance as is fitting for all my immense iniquities — for all my days would not suffice to repair even a single sin and a single blemish from my many iniquities — even so may You have mercy upon me through Your mercies. And grant me merit that I merit at least to do complete repentance according to my capacity. And You through Your abundant mercies receive my repentance before You with mercy and with favor — until I merit that You remove and take away and drive away and nullify from me all the spirit of folly that attached itself to me through my evil deeds. And may You stir Your true mercies upon me — and rebuke the spirit of folly within me and drive it away and distance it and completely nullify it from me. And grant me merit to a spirit of holy wisdom and understanding and knowledge — until I merit to truly know and recognize You with a whole heart. And through this may I merit that the holy shame be revealed in actuality upon my face. For now my heart and my intellect have become so very blocked through my many iniquities — that I have no knowledge or intellect even to be ashamed before You in truth as is fitting for me to be ashamed; as You know, Hashem my G‑d and G‑d of my fathers. Please, Hashem — do not deal with me according to the wickedness of my deeds. Have pity and compassion upon me. And grant me merit speedily to complete repentance before You in truth — until I merit that the holy shame be revealed in actuality upon my face. And may I merit to be truly very ashamed before You in the ultimate shame — as is fitting for me to be ashamed before You, Hashem my G‑d and G‑d of my fathers; Sovereign of all deeds; Master of all souls — Who has bestowed upon me such goodnesses at every time and every hour; and Who has thought from afar to improve my final end. And I have repaid You with evil — many evils and sins and iniquities and transgressions and blemishes — great, immense, and awe-inspiring — at every time and every day literally. What shall I say before You Who dwell on high — and what shall I recount before You Who reside in the heavens? For You know all the hidden things and the revealed things. Rock of eternity — help me and redeem me and be gracious to me! Save me and save me! In the light of Your face revive me and sustain me! Grant me merit that the holiness of the holy tefillin be drawn upon me from their supernal root — and may I merit to sharpen my intellect in the holy Torah always. And may I merit every single day through the laying of tefillin to new minds [ mochim chadashim ] and to a new recognition in the attainment of Your G‑dliness and the knowledge of Your exaltedness, blessed be He and exalted be His Name forever and for all eternity. And may You draw upon me great shame before You always — and may Your awe be upon my face: this shame — so as not to sin from now and forever. And may You illuminate upon me with the light of Your face — and may my face shine in great holiness through the light of the holy shame that You draw upon me through Your mercies and great lovingkindnesses; until all those who see me are ashamed and confounded before me — that shame and great awe fall upon them from me: through the holiness of the light of the tefillin that You draw upon me through Your mercies. And may great knowledge and a new holy recognition, and awe and great shame, be added to them: through the holiness of the light of the face that You draw upon me through Your great compassion. And may the verse be fulfilled in me: And all the peoples of the earth shall see that the Name of Hashem is called upon you — and they shall fear you [ Deuteronomy 28:10 ].

וְתַצִּילֵנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ מִסִּטְרָא דְּקֵץ כָּל בָּשָׂר, מִכָּל בְּנֵי אָדָם הָרָעִים שֶׁהֵם עַזֵּי פָּנִים שֶׁבַּדּוֹר, הַחוֹקְרִים וּמְחַפְּשִׂים תָּמִיד אַחַר חוֹבוֹת בְּנֵי אָדָם, וּמְבַקְּשִׁים תָּמִיד לִמְצֹא חֹב וּפְגַם בְּכָל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד. רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם, הַצִּילֵנוּ בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ מֵהֶם וּמֵהֲמוֹנָם, וְאַל תִּשְׁמַע דִּבְרֵיהֶם וְאַל יַעֲלֶה קִטְרוּגָם לְפָנֶיךָ כְּלָל, וְתִסְתֹּם הַפַּרְגּוֹד בִּפְנֵי דִבְרֵיהֶם הָרָעִים, וְאַל יִכָּנְסוּ דִבְרֵיהֶם בְּאָזְנְךָ כְּלָל. כִּי אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ אֶת לְבָבָם הָרָע, וְהֵם עוֹמְדִים עָלֵינוּ בְּכָל עֵת וּמְקַטְרְגִים עָלֵינוּ וְרוֹצִים לְרַחֲקֵנוּ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם מֵעֲבוֹדָתְךָ בֶאֱמֶת, וּמֵהֶם נִמְשְׁכוּ וּבָאוּ עָלֵינוּ כָּל הַקִּטְרוּגִים וְהַנִּסְיוֹנוֹת וְהַבִּלְבּוּלִים, אֲשֶׁר עַל־יָדָם נִתְרַחַקְנוּ מֵעֲבוֹדָתְךָ בֶאֱמֶת. רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם, רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם, אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ אֵת כָּל מַה שֶּׁעָבַר עָלֵינוּ עַד הֵנָּה, וְכָל מַה שֶּׁעוֹבֵר עָלֵינוּ בְכָל עֵת בְּכָל יוֹם וּבְכָל שָׁעָה, כִּי רַבִּים קָמוּ עָלֵינוּ מְאֹד. יְהֹוָה מָה רַבּוּ צָרָי רַבִּים קָמִים עָלָי. סַבּוּנִי כַמַּיִם כָּל הַיּוֹם הִקִּיפוּ עָלַי יָחַד. וְהָאֱמֶת יָדַעְתִּי יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתַי, כִּי בִי אֲנִי אֲדוֹנִי הֶעָוֹן וְאָנֹכִי סַבּוֹתִי בְּנַפְשִׁי כָּל אֵלֶּה, עַל־יְדֵי שֶׁלֹּא שָׁמַרְתִּי אֶת עַצְמִי וּפָגַמְתִּי בִּבְרִית הַלָּשׁוֹן וּבִבְרִית הַמָּעוֹר, אֲשֶׁר עַל־יְדֵי הַפְּגָמִים הָאֵלֶּה נִמְשַׁךְ לָהֶם דִּבּוּרִים שֶׁיֵּשׁ לָהֶם כֹּחַ לְדַבֵּר וּלְהַלְשִׁין וּלְקַטְרֵג עָלֵינוּ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, אֲבָל כְּבַָר הִבְטַחְתָּנוּ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, שֶׁאַתָּה חָפֵץ חֶסֶד וְאַתָּה מַרְבֶּה לְהֵטִיב, וְרוֹצֶה אַתָּה בִּתְשׁוּבָתָן שֶׁל רְשָׁעִים וְאֵין אַתָּה חָפֵץ בְּמִיתָתָם, וְאַתָּה שׂוֹנֵא וּמְמָאֵס בְּתַכְלִית הַשִּׂנְאָה וְהַמִּאוּס אֶת כָּל מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לְעוֹרֵר דִּין וּלְהַלְשִׁין וּלְקַטְרֵג חַס וְשָׁלוֹם עַל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַמֶּךָ, בִּפְרָט בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁהֵם נְזוּפִים מִלְּפָנֶיךָ עַל־יְדֵי חֲטָאֵיהֶם ופְשָׁעֵיהֶם וַעֲוֹנוֹתֵיהֶם, אַף־עַל־פִּי שֶׁחָטְאוּ לְפָנֶיךָ בֶאֱמֶת, אַף־עַל־פִּי־כֵן אֵין רְצוֹנְךָ שֶׁיְּקַטְרְגוּ עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל חַס וְשָׁלוֹם. וְאַתָּה בּוֹחֵר וּמְקָרֵב וּמְחַבֵּב אֶת מִי שֶׁמְּרַחֵם אָז עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל וְעוֹסֵק לְלַמֵּד זְכוּת עֲלֵיהֶם בָּעֵת הַהִיא, וּמוֹסֵר נַפְשׁוֹ לְהַעְתִּיר עֲבוּרָם וּלְהַפְצִיר אוֹתְךָ בִּשְׁבִילָם, כְּמוֹ מֹשֶׁה רַבֵּנוּ עָלָיו הַשָּׁלוֹם שֶׁמָּסַר נַפְשׁוֹ עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהִתְפַּלֵּל עֲלֵיהֶם תָּמִיד אֲפִלּוּ בְּעֵת שֶׁעָשׂוּ מַה שֶּׁעָשׂוּ, וְאַתָּה בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ שָׁמַעְתָּ תְּפִלָּתוֹ תָמִיד, וְחִבַּבְתָּ אוֹתוֹ בְּכָל מִינֵי חִבָּה בִּשְׁבִיל זֶה. וְהִנֵּה עַתָּה בַּעֲוֹנוֹתֵינוּ אָבַד חָסִיד מִן הָאָרֶץ וְיָשָׁר בָּאָדָם אָיִן, וְאֵין מִי שֶׁיַּעֲמֹד בַּעֲדֵנוּ. וְלֹא דַי לָנוּ בְּכָל זֶה, כִּי אִם עוֹד רַבִּים קָמִים עָלֵינוּ, רַבִּים מְאֹד, כַּאֲשֶׁר אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ, עַל מִי לָנוּ לְהִשָּׁעֵן עַל אָבִינוּ שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם, הַחוֹמֵל עַל דַּל חֲמֹל עַל דַּלּוּתֵנוּ וּרְאֵה שִׁפְלוּתֵנוּ וּבִזְיוֹנֵנוּ, הַבֵּט מִשָּׁמַיִם וּרְאֵה כִּי הָיִינוּ לַעַג וָקֶלֶס, כָּל הַיּוֹם כְּלִמָּתִי נֶגְדִּי וּבֹשֶׁת פָּנַי כִּסָּתְנִי. מִקּוֹל מְחָרֵף וּמְגַדֵּף מִפְּנֵי אוֹיֵב וּמִתְנַקֵּם. הַבִּיטָה בְּעָנְיֵינוּ כִּי רַבּוּ מַכְאוֹבֵינוּ וְצָרוֹת לְבָבֵנוּ, חוּסָה עָלֵינוּ בְּאֶרֶץ שִׁבְיֵינוּ וְאַל תִּשְׁפֹּךְ חֲרוֹנְךָ עָלֵינוּ כִּי עַמְּךָ אֲנַחְנוּ בְּנֵי בְּרִיתֶךָ, עָזְרֵנוּ כִּי עָלֶיךָ נִשְׁעָנְנוּ. מַצִּיל עָנִי מֵחָזָק מִמֶּנּוּ וְעָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן מִגּוֹזְלוֹ. הַצִּילֵנִי נָא מִיַּד אוֹיְבַי וּמֵרוֹדְפָי, הַצִּילֵנִי אָבִי שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם, הַצִּילֵנִי נָא גּוֹאֵל חָזָק פּוֹדֶה וּמַצִּיל, הַצִּילֵנוּ וּמַלְּטֵנוּ וּפְדֵנוּ מִכָּל מִינֵי שׂוֹנְאִים וּמַלְשִׁינִים וּמְקַטְרְגִים בְּגַשְׁמִיּוּת וּבְרוּחָנִיּוּת, חוּסָה עָלֵינוּ לְמַעַנְךָ וּלְמַעַן אֲבוֹתֵינוּ וּלְמַעַן כָּל הַצַּדִּיקִים אֲמִתִּיִּים אֲשֶׁר אָנוּ חוֹסִים בָּהֶם תָּמִיד. יוֹדֵעַ תַּעֲלוּמוֹת, רַחֵם רַחֵם הַצֵּל הַצֵּל, הוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ וְהַצִּילֵנוּ מֵחֶרֶב, מִפִּיהֶם, וּמִיַּד חָזָק אֶבְיוֹן. וְתַשְׁפִּיעַ עָלֵינוּ כֹחַ וּגְבוּרָה מֵאִתְּךָ בִּזְכוּת הַצַּדִּיקֵי־אֱמֶת, וְתַעַזְרֵנוּ וְתוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה לְהַכְנִיעַ וּלְהַשְׁפִּיל עֲדֵי אָרֶץ כָּל הַמִּתְנַגְּדִים הַחוֹלְקִים עַל הָאֱמֶת, וְנִזְכֶּה לַעֲקֹר וּלְשַׁבֵּר וּלְבַטֵּל כָּל הַמְקַטְרְגִים וְהַמַּלְשִׁינִים עַל הָרְחוֹקִים הַבָּאִים לְהִתְקָרֵב אֵלֶיךָ בֶּאֱמֶת, הַחֲפֵצִים לְיִרְאָה אֶת שְׁמֶךָ. אַף־עַל־פִּי שֶׁאֵין אָנוּ כְּדָאִים לְהִתְקָרֵב אֵלֶיךָ לְפִי מַעֲשֵׂינוּ, אַף־עַל־פִּי־כֵן רַחֲמֶיךָ רַבִּים יְהֹוָה, רַחֲמֶיךָ רַבִּים מְאֹד, עֲשֵׂה אַתָּה עִמָּנוּ מַה שֶׁתִּרְצֶה וְכִרְצוֹנְךָ עֲשֵׂה עִמָּנוּ וּמִי יֹאמַר לְךָ מַה תַּעֲשֶׂה, אֲבָל מִי שָׂם אוֹתָם לְדַיָּן וְשׁוֹפֵט, לָדוּן אוֹתָנוּ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, וּלְקַטְרֵג עָלֵינוּ חָלִילָה, מִי בִּקֵּשׁ זֹאת מִיָּדָם לִרְמֹס עַל הַנִּרְדָּפִים חָלִילָה, כִּי אַתָּה אֲשֶׁר הִכִּיתָ רָדָפוּ וְאֶל מַכְאוֹב חֲלָלֶיךָ יְסַפֵּרוּ. אֶפְּלָה נָא בְיַד יְהֹוָה כִּי רַבִּים רַחֲמָיו וּבְיַד אָדָם אַל אֶפֹּלָה:

And save me through Your abundant mercies from the brazen-faced — and help me and save me and rescue me that I have no brazenness at all from the Sitra Achra ; and grant me merit speedily to humble and shatter and nullify the brazenness of the body and its desires and evil traits. And have mercy upon me and save me and rescue me from every kind of blemish of the bris in the world — in thought, speech, and deed; in the seeing of the eye and the hearing of the ear and the other senses. In all of them may I merit to be holy and pure in the holiness of the bris — in great holiness as Your good will desires in truth; as befits an Israelite man whom You have chosen. And grant me merit through Your mercies to receive Shabbosos in great holiness and in abundant joy and delight — in exultation, song, mirth and delight, love and fraternity and peace and fellowship and great peace. And help me through Your abundant mercies to observe the Shabbos according to its law — and save me on the holy Shabbos from every stumbling-block of the 39 [ lamed-tes ] primary categories of labor and their derivatives, and from all the rabbinic prohibitions [ shevusim d'Rabbanan ]. And may it then be in my eyes as though all my work were done — and may I then not think at all about any labor or occupation or commerce; and not about any weekday matters at all. And may I merit to sanctify my speech on the holy Shabbos with additional and immense holiness — and may my Shabbos speech not be like my weekday speech; and may no idle word go forth from my mouth on the holy Shabbos. And help me and grant me merit to sanctify the Shabbos in every kind of holiness; and to honor it in every kind of honor and might and splendor: in food and drink and clean clothing; and in a pleasant dwelling and pleasant vessels in the physical — and in a pleasant dwelling and pleasant vessels in my heart and my limbs; and in song and praise and jubilation and melody in great joy and delight; in great and immense awe and love; and in wondrous and immense cleaving to Your great and holy Name. Until I merit to draw the holiness of the holy Shabbos upon all six weekdays — until all six days of work are pure and holy in the holiness of the holy Shabbos. And may I merit to humble and nullify the contamination of the serpent from all the 39 labors of the weekdays — until all the 39 labors and all my occupations and commerce are refined in great holiness and purity through the holiness of the holy Shabbos. And grant me merit to always remember the Shabbos — and to prepare a fine portion for Shabbos from the first day of the week; as it is written: Remember the day of the Shabbos to sanctify it — remember it from the first day of the week [ Exodus 20:8 / cf. Mechilta ]. And may I merit to fulfill the verse: If you restrain your foot because of the Shabbos — from performing your affairs on My holy day; and call the Shabbos a delight, the holy of Hashem honored; and honor it by not doing your own ways — from pursuing your affairs or speaking a word: then you shall delight yourself upon Hashem and I shall cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth; and I shall feed you with the heritage of Yaakov your father — for the mouth of Hashem has spoken [ Isaiah 58:13–14 ]. Full of mercy — Who takes pity upon the poor; Rock of Israel and its Holy One: arise to our help and fill our requests with mercy. And grant us merit to be always cleaving to You in truth and in complete faith in great holiness and purity as Your good will desires in truth. And may the verse be fulfilled in us: And you who cleave to Hashem your G‑d — you are all alive this day [ Deuteronomy 4:4 ]. Amen, eternal, Selah, and evermore.

רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם, שׁוֹמֵעַ צְעָקָה מֵעִמְקֵי הַשְּׁאוֹל־תַּחְתִּיּוֹת וּמִתַּחְתָּיו, שְׁמַע צַעֲקָתִי וְנַאֲקָתִי וְאַנְחָתִי הַמָּרָה מְאֹד, הַכְּבֵדָה מְאֹד, הָעֲמוּקָה מְאֹד. אִי שָׁמַיִם, הָקִיצוּ לְצַעֲרִי וּרְדִיפָתִי, מַה שֶּׁאֲנִי בְעַצְמִי רוֹדֵף אֶת עַצְמִי בְיוֹתֵר, וְגַם אֲחֵרִים רוֹדְפִים אוֹתִי מְאֹד מְאֹד, וַתְּהִי הַמִּלְחָמָה עָלַי פָּנִים וְאָחוֹר, שׁוּבָה יְהֹוָה עַד מָתָי וְהִנָּחֵם עַל עֲבָדֶיךָ, אֲהָהּ יְהֹוָה, אֲהָהּ יְהֹוָה, שִׁטַּחְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ כַפָּי מֵעִמְקֵי עִמְקֵי עֲמָקִים, מֵעִמְקֵי עִמְקֵי הַסְתָּרָה שֶׁבְּתוֹךְ הַסְתָּרָה, מֵאֲלָפִים וּרְבָבוֹת הַסְתָּרוֹת, צַר לִי מְאֹד אָבִי שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם, צַר וּמַר לִי מְאֹד צַר וּמַר לִי מְאֹד, וְאֵין לִי שׁוּם לָשׁוֹן בָּעוֹלָם לְפָרֵשׁ בּוֹ שִׂיחָתִי וְצַעֲרִי, קוֹלִי שָׁמָעְתָּ אַל תַּעְלֵם אָזְנְךָ לְרַוְחָתִי לְשַׁוְעָתִי. חָנֵּנִי וְעָזְרֵנִי שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְאַכְפַּיָא הַסִּטְרָא אַחֲרָא, סִטְרָא דְקֵץ כָּל בָּשָׂר, תַּחַת הַדִּבּוּר שֶׁל הַקְּדֻשָּׁה. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהוֹצִיא בִּלְעָם מִפִּיהֶם, לְהוֹצִיא מֵהַסִּטְרָא אַחֲרָא כָּל הַדִּבּוּרִים רָעִים וְכָל הַדִּבּוּרִים פְּגוּמִים שֶׁיָּנְקוּ מֵהֶם עַל־יְדֵי פְּגַם הַדִּבּוּר שֶׁפָּגַמְתִּי בּוֹ בְּשׁוֹגֵג וּבְמֵזִיד בְּאֹנֶס וּבְרָצוֹן, וְכֻלָּם אֶזְכֶּה לְתַקֵּן בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְהוֹצִיא כָּל הַדִּבּוּרִים מִן הַסִּטְרָא אַחֲרָא, וּלְהָשִׁיבָם כֻּלָּם לְשָׁרְשָׁם שֶׁבִּקְדֻשָּׁה, עַד אֲשֶׁר הָרִשְׁעָה כֻּלָּהּ כֶּעָשָׁן תִּכְלֶה וְעוֹלָתָהּ תִּקְפָּץ פִּיהָ, כִּי יִסָּכֵר פִּי כָל דּוֹבְרֵי שָׁקֶר. וּתְמַלֵּא פִּיהֶם חָצָץ וּתְעַקֵּם וְתַעֲקֹר אֶת פִּיהֶם וּלְשׁוֹנָם שֶׁל כָּל הַמְקַטְרְגִים וּמַלְשִׁינִים וְדוֹבְרִים רָעוֹת עַל עַמְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל הַכְּשֵׁרִים הַחֲפֵצִים לְיִרְאָה אֶת שִׁמְךָ בֶּאֱמֶת, וְתִתֵּן בְּלִבָּם שֶׁיָּשׁוּבוּ מִדַּרְכָּם הָרָעָה, וְיַטּוּ לִבָּם בֶּאֱמֶת אֶל הָאֱמֶת וְיִתְגַּלֶּה הָאֱמֶת בָּעוֹלָם, וִיקֻיַּם מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, יַעֲזֹב רָשָׁע דַּרְכּוֹ וְאִישׁ אָוֶן מַחְשְׁבוֹתָיו וְיָשֹׁב אֶל יְהֹוָה וִירַחֲמֵהוּ וְאֶל אֱלֹהֵינוּ כִּי יַרְבֶּה לִסְלֹחַ:

He Who makes peace in His heights — Master of peace; King to Whom peace belongs . May it be the will before You — that You have mercy upon us through Your abundant mercies; and draw peace in the world; and place peace among all Your people Israel; and nullify every kind of strife from the world. For You know, Master of the entire universe [ Ribon d'alma kola ] — how many evils and troubles the strifes among Israel have caused us. And in particular the immense strife that has spread now in the footsteps of Mashiach [ b'ikvah diMeshicha ] — among all the tzadikim and Torah scholars and fitting people of the generation; and a prosecution has been created between Torah scholars. Have mercy upon us through Your mercies and may You calm Your anger from upon us — and draw mercy and life and peace upon us and upon all Your people Israel forever. And may You place in the heart of each and every one that he have mercy upon his fellow; and love his fellow in truth with a soul-love [ ahavat nefesh ]. And may we merit to truly fulfill the commandment And you shall love your fellow as yourself with all the heart — with body and soul and money; which commandment is a great principle of the Torah. And may You nullify every kind of hatred and jealousy and contentiousness and victory-seeking of the Sitra Achra from the world — and may no person's jealousy arise upon me and not my jealousy upon others. Rather may there be great peace and love and brotherhood and fellowship among all Your people Israel always forever. And therefore — have mercy upon us and help us and save us: that we merit to shatter from us the desire for food [ ta'avas achilah ]; and may we merit that our eating be only in the strictest measure — only as much as is necessary for the sustenance of the human being alone; and may we minimize the desire of our nature. And may we merit to eat in great holiness and purity — for Your Name alone, in absolute truth. And may You remove from us the shame of hunger [ cherpas ra'av ] — and may we feel no hunger within us whatsoever; and may we merit to shatter and nullify all the animalistic desires of our bodies. And may You remove from us every kind of disgrace and contempt — which are the desires of the body from which all the disgraces are drawn. And may You sanctify us in every kind of holiness.

And help us through Your abundant mercies — that we merit to completely shatter the desire of immorality in truth; and may You grant us merit to be sanctified in the holiness of the bris in great holiness — as befits Israel Your holy people whom You have chosen in love. And be with us always — and save us and help us that we merit to sanctify ourselves in what is permitted to us; and may our marital union be only from Shabbos to Shabbos in great and awe-inspiring holiness. And may we merit to shatter the nefesh hamis'avah [desiring soul] within us — which is the animalistic desire. And may our marital union be in great holiness without any bodily desires whatsoever — and may it seem to our eyes as though one were forcing a demon [ kofe shed ]. And may we merit to ascend each time from holiness to higher holiness — until we merit to be absorbed in Your supernal holiness as Your good will desires in truth. And may we merit to shatter all the animalistic desires: the desire of immorality, the desire for food, and all the desires — all of them may we merit to shatter and nullify completely from upon us and from within our borders. And may You draw upon us holiness and purity from the source of all holinesses — and may we merit to always be sanctified in Your supernal holiness. And may we return to You in truth — and may we merit to completely turn from evil and to always do Your good will.

Our Father, our King — have mercy upon us for the sake of Your Name; and sanctify us in Your supernal holiness; and purify our heart to serve You in truth. And have mercy upon us and provide us our livelihood generously from Yourself — and do not make us dependent upon gifts of flesh and blood nor upon their loans. And open Your good treasury for us — and may You pour upon us an overflow of goodness and blessing and mercy and life and peace forever. And may You bless all the works of our hands and the fruit of our womb — and may our sons and daughters be alive and enduring in Your service and Your Torah and Your awe for length of days and good years. And have mercy upon our offspring and the offspring of Your people the House of Israel [ and in particular upon the offspring of so-and-so son of so-and-so, etc. ]; and draw upon them good and long lives. And may all who come forth from our loins live long and good days and years — may their offshoots go and their branches multiply; and may their offspring be like the grass of the earth. And save them through Your mercies from the pain of childrearing, G‑d forbid. Rather may all of them merit to raise their sons and daughters to Torah and to the marriage canopy and to good deeds: both those already born and those destined to be born to them — all of them shall live long and good days and years; and all of them shall leave a remnant in the land. And may their offspring multiply like the sand of the sea and like the stars of heaven in abundance — forever and for generations until the end of all generations. Master of the Universe — look upon their affliction and see their pain; for You know their heart — You know their anguish and their many troubles that they have borne until now. Master of the entire universe [ Mara d'alma kola ] — El Shaddai give them mercy [ cf. Genesis 43:14 ]: He Who said to His world "enough" [ dai ] — may He say "enough" [ dai ] to their troubles. Act for the sake of the merit of their fathers — and gladden their hearts; and help them from now that their offspring multiply; and may they merit to raise all their sons and daughters. And may their days and years be extended; may they multiply and grow and flourish through all their generations. And may the verse be fulfilled in us and in them: And the number of the children of Israel shall be like the sand of the sea — which cannot be measured or counted; and it shall be that in the place where it is said to them: You are not My people — it shall be said to them: sons of the living G‑d [ Hosea 2:1 ].

וּבְכֵן תַּעַזְרֵנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים וַחֲסָדֶיךָ הַגְּדוֹלִים, וְטוֹבוֹתֶיךָ הָעֲצוּמוֹת וַחֲנִינוֹתֶיךָ הָאֲמִתִּיּוֹת, וְחֶמְלָתְךָ הַחֲזָקָה וְאַהֲבָתְךָ הַגְּדוֹלָה עָלֵינוּ תָמִיד, וּתְזַכֵּנִי וְתוֹשִׁיעֵנִי שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְהַעֲלוֹת אֶת הַדִּבּוּר לְשָׁרְשׁוֹ שֶׁהוּא חֲמִשָּׁה אֶצְבָּעוֹת שֶׁבִּזְרוֹעַ שְׂמֹאל, שֶׁהֵם כְּנֶגֶד חֲמִשָּׁה מוֹצָאוֹת הַפֶּה. וּתְזַכֵּנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ לְפָרֵשׁ שִׂיחָתִי לְפָנֶיךָ תָמִיד בְּכָל יוֹם בֶּאֱמֶת וּבְלֵב שָׁלֵם, וְאֵת כָּל אֲשֶׁר עִם לְבָבִי אָשִׂיחָה לְפָנֶיךָ בֶּאֱמֶת וּבִתְמִימוּת וּבְהִתְעוֹרְרוּת הַלֵּב מְאֹד מְאֹד. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְדַבֵּר בַּחֲמִימוּת גָּדוֹל דִּקְדֻשָּׁה לְעוֹרֵר לִבִּי אֵלֶיךָ, וּלְדַבֵּר בֵּינִי לְבֵין קוֹנִי בְּשַׁלְהֶבֶת הַגְּבוּרוֹת, וּלְהִתְעוֹרֵר לַעֲבוֹדָתְךָ בֶּאֱמֶת. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְדַבֵּר בַּחֲמִימוּת שֶׁבַּלֵּב דִּבְרֵי אֱמֶת שֶׁבַּלֵּב, וְלִרְאוֹת פְּחִיתוּתִי וְשִׁפְלוּתִי וּכְאֵבִי הֶעָצוּם וְהַמַּר, כְּאֵב עֲוֹנוֹתַי וַחֲטָאַי וּפְשָׁעַי שֶׁחָטָאתִי וְשֶׁעָוִיתִי וְשֶׁפָּשַׁעְתִּי לְפָנֶיךָ מִנְּעוּרַי עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה. וְתַעַזְרֵנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים שֶׁיִּהְיֶה נִמְשַׁךְ עָלַי בּוּשָׁה גְּדוֹלָה וַעֲצוּמָה מֵאִתְּךָ, וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהִתְבַּיֵשׁ מִפָּנֶיךָ מְאֹד מְאֹד עַל רִבּוּי וְעֹצֶם פְּשָׁעַי וַעֲוֹנוֹתַי, כְּנֶגֶד רַב וְשַׁלִּיט עִקָּרָא וְשָׁרְשָׁא דְכָל עָלְמִין, רַב וְשַׁלִּיט עַל כֹּלָּא וּלְעֵלָּא מִן כֹּלָּא וְלֵית לְעֵלָּא מִנֵּיהּ. מְמַלֵּא כָּל עָלְמִין וְסוֹבֵב כָּל עָלְמִין וּבְתוֹךְ כָּל עָלְמִין וְלֵית אֲתַר פָּנוּי מִנֵּיהּ, אֲשֶׁר כָּל בְּרוּאֵי מַעְלָה וְכָל בְּרוּאֵי מַטָּה כֻּלָּם יִרְעֲדוּן וְיִפְחֲדוּן מֵאֵימַת שְׁמוֹ הַגָּדוֹל וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ יִתְבָּרַךְ, וְכֻלָּם עוֹשִׂים רְצוֹנוֹ בְּאַהֲבָה בְּאֵימָה וּבְיִרְאָה וּבְפַחַד גָדוֹל מִי לֹא יִירָא מִפָּנֶיךָ מִי לֹא יִרְעַד מִשְּׁמֶךָ, וּבַעֲוֹנוֹתַי הָרַבִּים הִרְבֵּיתִי לִפְשֹׁעַ נֶגְדְּךָ תִּתְבָּרַךְ, עַד אֲשֶׁר נִטַּמְטֵם לִבִּי כָּל כַָּךְ, עַד שֶׁאֵינִי יָכֹל אֲפִלּוּ לְהִתְבַּיֵּשׁ מִמְּךָ כָּרָאוּי, גַּם בּוֹשׁ לֹא אֵבוֹשׁ גַּם הַכְלִים לֹא אֵדָע, וְעַתָּה בַּמֶּה יְכֻפְּרוּ עֲוֹנוֹתַי הַמְּרֻבִּים, וּבַמֶּה אֲרַצֶּה וַאֲפַיֵּס אוֹתְךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתַי:

And may You draw upon us blessing from Yourself — and may You pour great satiety in the world; and send satiety into our bowels — that we merit to eat a little and be satisfied from it; as it is written: And you shall eat your bread to satiety and dwell securely in your land [ Leviticus 26:5 ]. And may You fulfill for us the verse: And I shall save you from all your impurities — and I shall call to the grain and multiply it; and I shall not place famine upon you; and I shall multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field — so that you no longer bear the shame of hunger among the nations [ Ezekiel 36:29–30 ]. Our Father in Heaven — have compassion upon us for the sake of Your Name; and help us and save us through Your great compassion upon us — that we speedily merit to arrive at all that we have requested before You: that we merit to completely shatter the desire of immorality and the desire for food and all the animalistic desires; and may our marital union and our eating and all our conduct be in great holiness and purity in truth as Your good will desires. And may You extend the days of our sons and daughters and all who come forth from our loins — all of them shall live long and good days and years; may they spend their days in good and their years in pleasantness; and may they always engage all their days and years in Torah and the service of Hashem in truth as Your good will desires. They shall yet be fruitful in old age — fat and fresh shall they be [ Psalms 92:15 ]. And may You nullify every kind of strife from the world — and draw mercy and life and peace and satiety and blessing and an overflow of goodness upon us and upon all Your people the House of Israel from now and forever. And may You fulfill for us the verse: And He will love you and bless you and multiply you — and He will bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land: your grain and your wine and your oil; the firstlings of your cattle and the choice of your flocks; upon the land which He swore to your fathers to give you [ Deuteronomy 7:13 ]. And it is further said: For He has strengthened the bars of your gates — He has blessed your children within you. He makes peace within your borders — He sates you with the finest wheat [ Psalms 147:13–14 ]. And it is further said: And you shall eat, eat and be satisfied — and you shall praise the Name of Hashem your G‑d Who has dealt with you wondrously; and My people shall never be put to shame. And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel; and I am Hashem your G‑d and there is no other — and My people shall never be put to shame [ Joel 2:26–27 ]. Hashem shall give strength to His people — Hashem shall bless His people with peace [ Psalms 29:11 ]. May it be the will before You, Hashem our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers: that You have mercy upon me and be with me always — in my sitting in my house and my walking on the way; in my lying down and my rising up; in my going out and my coming in. And may You instruct me and guide me in Your truth — and always teach me at every time how to conduct myself in the matters of journeys and travels: whether to travel or to refrain; and how to travel and when to travel; and where to go — to which place and city to travel; and how long to tarry on my journey; and all the particulars of travel — every large and small, long and short road: all of it may You make known to me and teach me through Your true mercies. And may You lead me on the straight path always at every time. Master of all — great in counsel and abounding in deed [ gadol ha'eitzah v'rav ha'aliliyah ]: Whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the children of man; and Who knows and understands their thoughts and their secrets. May Your true mercies be stirred upon me — and grant me merit and teach me always at every time how to conduct myself in matters of journeys and travels. And just as You were with Israel in the wilderness and all their journeys were at Your word as Your will — as it is written: At the word of Hashem they encamped and at the word of Hashem they journeyed [ Numbers 9:23 ]: so may You have mercy upon me and be always with me. And I hereby surrender myself over to You alone in truth with all my movements always — at Your word I shall encamp in my house and at Your word I shall journey. And may You guard my going out and my coming in for good life and for peace from now and forever. And have mercy upon me always at every time when I am compelled to journey — that You be with me always; and may You lead me to peace and guide me to peace and bring me to my desired destination for good life and peace. And save me from the grip of every enemy and ambusher on the road. And grant me favor and lovingkindness and mercy in Your eyes and in the eyes of all who see me — and may You bestow upon me good lovingkindnesses always; and return me in peace to my home: peace in my body and my soul and my money and my Torah. And guard me through Your mercies from every stumbling-block of sin and iniquity — and from every kind of evil musing and evil thoughts and every evil gaze always; and in particular during my walking on the road. And save me and guard me through Your mercies from dangers of the road forever — in the physical and the spiritual; in body and soul and money.

Teach me Your way, Hashem — and lead me in a straight path because of my watchful enemies [ Psalms 27:11 ]. Guide me in Your truth and teach me — for You are the G‑d of my salvation; in You do I hope all the day [ Psalms 25:5 ]. Good and upright is Hashem — therefore He directs sinners in the way. He guides the humble in justice and teaches the humble His way. All the paths of Hashem are lovingkindness and truth — to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies [ Psalms 25:8–10 ]. Teach me, Hashem, Your way — I shall walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your Name [ Psalms 86:11 ]. My soul cleaves to the dust — revive me according to Your word [ Psalms 119:25 ]. I declared my ways and You answered me — teach me Your statutes [ Psalms 119:26 ]. Give me understanding and I shall keep Your Torah — and observe it with a whole heart [ Psalms 119:34 ]. My soul drips from grief — sustain me according to Your word [ Psalms 119:28 ]. Remove from me the way of falsehood — and grace me with Your Torah [ Psalms 119:29 ]. I have chosen the way of faithfulness — I have set Your judgments before me [ Psalms 119:30 ]. I cleave to Your testimonies — Hashem, do not put me to shame [ Psalms 119:31 ]. I shall run in the way of Your commandments — for You shall broaden my heart [ Psalms 119:32 ]. Teach me, Hashem, the way of Your statutes — and I shall observe it at every step [ Psalms 119:33 ]. Give me understanding that I shall safeguard Your Torah — and observe it with a whole heart [ Psalms 119:34 ]. Lead me in the path of Your commandments — for in it I delight [ Psalms 119:35 ]. Incline my heart to Your testimonies and not toward gain [ Psalms 119:36 ]. Turn away my eyes from seeing vanity — in Your way revive me [ Psalms 119:37 ]. Establish for Your servant Your word — which [brings] Your fear [ Psalms 119:38 ]. Remove my disgrace which I feared — for Your judgments are good [ Psalms 119:39 ]. Behold — I have longed for Your statutes; in Your righteousness revive me [ Psalms 119:40 ]. Have pity upon me according to Your abundant mercies — be gracious to me, Hashem; see my affliction caused by those who hate me — raise me up from the gates of death [ Psalms 9:14 ]. For You know the bitterness of my heart and the scattering of my soul — and You know my path; on this way I walk they have hidden a snare for me. Look to the right and see — and there is none who recognizes me; my escape has perished from me; there is no one who inquires after my soul [ Psalms 142:5 ]. Have pity and compassion upon me — have pity and be gracious to me; and save me from what I need to be saved from; rescue me from what I need to be rescued from. Deliver me, Hashem, from an evil man — guard me from men of violence [ Psalms 140:2 ]. Help me and save me and be with me always — and save me from the hand of my enemies and my pursuers: in my sitting in my house and my walking on the road. And grant me merit at every time that I am compelled to journey and to walk on the road according to Your good will — that my walking and my journey be in great holiness and purity and with holy and pure thoughts; and may I be guarded from every evil thing. And grant me merit and help me — that I merit through my journeys to repair the blemish of faith [ pegam ha'emunah ]; and may my exile and my displacement on the road atone for the blemish of faith that I blemished before You — through which I caused displacement above, G‑d forbid. Please, Hashem — Your eyes are toward faith [ Jeremiah 5:3 ]; all Your commandments are faith — they pursued me falsely; help me [ Psalms 119:86 ]. Help me and be gracious to me — and may You pour upon me Your holy faith from now and forever; and may no denial or confusion of mind come upon me at all. And help me from now to return in complete repentance before You in truth and with a whole heart. And through Your abundant mercies may You forgive and atone and pardon — O G‑d of forgiveness, gracious One Who multiplies forgiveness — all the blemishes that I blemished in Your holy faith. And grant me merit in my lifetime to repair all these blemishes — for all that I blemished in Your holy faith from my youth until this very day; whether in this gilgul or in another gilgul. All of it may I merit to repair in completeness swiftly and speedily — and may I merit from now to the holy faith in truth and in completeness as Your good will desires.

חוּס וַחֲמֹל עָלַי, וְחָנֵּנִי מֵאִתְּךָ דֵּעָה בִּינָה וְהַשְׂכֵּל, בְּאֹפֶן שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְהִתְבַּיֵּשׁ מִפָּנֶיךָ מְאֹד עַל גֹּדֶל פְּשָׁעַי נֶגְדֶּךָ, וְאֶזְכֶּה לְדַבֵּר וּלְפָרֵשׁ כָּל שִׂיחָתִי לְפָנֶיךָ בְּהִתְעוֹרְרוּת גָּדוֹל בְּרִשְׁפֵּי שַׁלְהֶבֶת אֵשׁ לוֹהֵט, מֵעֹמֶק הָאֱמֶת שֶׁבַּלֵּב, וְכָל דְּבָרַי יִהְיוּ כְּגַחֲלֵי אֵשׁ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב, חַם לִבִּי בְּקִרְבִּי בַּהֲגִיגִי תִבְעַר אֵשׁ דִּבַּרְתִּי בִּלְשׁוֹנִי. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְעוֹרֵר לִבִּי בֶּאֱמֶת לַעֲבוֹדָתְךָ וּלְיִרְאָתְךָ וּלְתוֹרָתֶךָ, וּלְדַבֵּר תָּמִיד בַּחֲמִימוּת שֶׁבַּלֵּב דִּבְרֵי אֱמֶת שֶׁבַּלֵּב. וּתְזַכֵּנִי לִנְקֻדַּת מִבְחַר רֹאשׁ הָאֱמֶת, שֶׁיִּהְיוּ כָל דְּבָרַי בֶּאֱמֶת לַאֲמִתּוֹ, בְּתַכְלִית נְקֻדַּת הָאֱמֶת שֶׁאַתָּה חָפֵץ בּוֹ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב, רֹאשׁ דְּבָרְךָ אֱמֶת וּלְעוֹלָם כָּל מִשְׁפַּט צִדְקֶךָ. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהַרְבּוֹת בְּדִבּוּרֵי אֱמֶת בְּכָל יוֹם בְּשַׁלְהֶבֶת הַגְּבוּרוֹת דִּקְדֻשָּׁה בַּחֲמִימוּת הַלֵּב, עַד שֶׁאֶתְעוֹרֵר בֶּאֱמֶת לַעֲבוֹדָתֶךָ, וְיֻמְשַׁךְ עָלַי בּוּשָׁה וְיִרְאָה גְּדוֹלָה בְּכָל עֵת מִפָּנֶיךָ. וְאֶזְכֶּה מְהֵרָה לַעֲשׂוֹת תְּשׁוּבָה שְׁלֵמָה עַל כָּל חֲטָאַי וַעֲוֹנוֹתַי וּפְשָׁעַי הַמְּרֻבִּים, וּבְרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים תִּמְחֹל וְתִסְלַח וּתְכַפֵּר לִי עַל כֻּלָּם, אַף־עַל־פִּי שֶׁאִי אֶפְשַׁר לִי בְּשׁוּם אֹפֶן לַעֲשׂוֹת תְּשׁוּבָה כָּרָאוּי עַל כָּל עֲוֹנוֹתַי הָעֲצוּמִים, כִּי כָל יָמַי לֹא יַסְפִּיקוּ לִי לְתַקֵּן חֵטְא אֶחָד וּפְגַם אֶחָד מֵעֲוֹנוֹתַי הַמְּרֻבִּים, אַף־עַל־פִּי־כֵן תְּרַחֵם עָלַי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ, וּתְזַכֵּנִי שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה עַל כָּל פָּנִים לַעֲשׂוֹת תְּשׁוּבָה שְׁלֵמָה כְּפִי כֹּחִי. וְאַתָּה בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים תְּקַבֵּל תְּשׁוּבָתִי לְפָנֶיךָ בְּרַחֲמִים וּבְרָצוֹן, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה שֶׁתַּעֲבִיר וְתָסִיר וּתְגָרֵשׁ וּתְבַטֵּל מִמֶּנִּי כָּל הָרוּחַ שְׁטוּת שֶׁנִדְבַּק בִּי עַל־יְדֵי מַעֲשַׂי הָרָעִים, וּתְעוֹרֵר רַחֲמֶיךָ הָאֲמִתִּיִּים עָלַי, וְתִגְעוֹר בְּהָרוּחַ שְׁטוּת שֶׁבְּקִרְבִּי וּתְגָרְשׁוֹ וּתְרַחֲקוֹ וּתְבַטְּלוֹ מִמֶּנִּי בְּבִטּוּל גָּמוּר. וּתְזַכֵּנִי לְרוּחַ חָכְמָה וּבִינָה וָדַעַת דִּקְדֻשָּׁה, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְהַכִּיר וְלָדַעַת אוֹתְךָ בֶּאֱמֶת וּבְלֵב שָׁלֵם, וְעַל־יְדֵי־זֶה אֶזְכֶּה שֶׁתִּתְגַּלֶּה הַבּוּשָׁה בְּפֹעַל עַל פָּנַי, כִּי עַכְשָׁיו נִטַּמְטֵם לִבִּי וְשִׂכְלִי כָּל כַָּךְ עַל־יְדֵי עֲוֹנוֹתַי הַמְּרֻבִּים, עַד שֶׁאֵין לִי שׁוּם דַּעַת וְשֵׂכֶל אֲפִלּוּ לְהִתְבַּיֵּשׁ מִפָּנֶיךָ בֶּאֱמֶת כָּרָאוּי לִי לְהִתְבַּיֵּשׁ, כַּאֲשֶׁר אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתַי. אָנָּא יְהֹוָה, אַל תַּעֲשֶׂה עִמִּי כְּרֹעַ מַעֲלָלַי. חוּס וְרַחֵם וַחֲמֹל עָלַי. וְזַכֵּנִי מְהֵרָה לִתְשׁוּבָה שְׁלֵמָה לְפָנֶיךָ בֶּאֱמֶת, עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה שֶׁתִּתְגַּלֶּה הַבּוּשָׁה דִקְדֻשָּׁה בְּפֹעַל עַל פָּנַי, וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהִתְבַּיֵּשׁ מִפָּנֶיךָ בֶּאֱמֶת בְּבוּשָׁה גְּדוֹלָה בְּתַכְלִית הַבּוּשָׁה, כַּאֲשֶׁר רָאוּי לִי לְהִתְבַּיֵּשׁ מִפָּנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהַי וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתַי, רִבּוֹן כָּל הַמַּעֲשִׂים אֲדוֹן כָּל הַנְּשָׁמוֹת, אֲשֶׁר גְּמַלְתַּנִי טוֹבוֹת כָּאֵלֶּה בְּכָל עֵת וּבְכָל שָׁעָה וְחָשַׁבְתָּ מֵרָחוֹק לְהֵטִיב אַחֲרִיתִי, וַאֲנִי גְּמַלְתִּיךָ הָרָעָה רָעוֹת רַבּוֹת וַחֲטָאִים וַעֲוֹנוֹת וּפְשָׁעִים וּפְגָמִים רַבִּים עֲצוּמִים וְנוֹרָאִים בְּכָל עֵת וּבְכָל יוֹם מַמָּשׁ. מָה אוֹמַר לְפָנֶיךָ יוֹשֵׁב מָרוֹם, וּמָה אֲסַפֵּר לְפָנֶיךָ שׁוֹכֵן שְׁחָקִים, הֲלֹא כָל הַנִּסְתָּרוֹת וְהַנִּגְלוֹת אַתָּה יוֹדֵעַ, צוּר עוֹלָמִים עָזְרֵנִי פְּדֵנִי וְחָנֵּנִי, הַצִּילֵנִי וְהוֹשִׁיעֵנִי, בְּאוֹר פָּנֶיךָ הַחֲיֵינִי וְקַיְּמֵנִי, זַכֵּנִי שֶׁיִּהְיֶה נִמְשַׁךְ עָלַי קְדֻשַּׁת הַתְּפִלִּין הַקְּדוֹשִׁים מִשָׁרְשָׁם הָעֶלְיוֹן, וְאֶזְכֶּה לְחַדֵּד שִׂכְלִי בְּהַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה תָּמִיד, וְאֶזְכֶּה תָמִיד בְּכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם עַל־יְדֵי הֲנָחַת תְּפִלִּין לְמֹחִין חֲדָשִׁים וּלְהַכָּרָה חֲדָשָׁה בְּהַשָּׂגַת אֱלָהוּתְךָ וִידִיעַת רוֹמְמוּתְךָ יִתְבָּרַךְ וְיִתְעַלֶּה שִׁמְךָ לָעַד וּלְנֵצַח נְצָחִים, וְתַמְשִׁיךְ עָלַי בּוּשָׁה גְּדוֹלָה מִפָּנֶיךָ תָמִיד, וְתִהְיֶה יִרְאָתְךָ עַל פָּנַי זוּ הַבּוּשָׁה לְבִלְתִּי אֶחֱטָא מֵעַתָּה וְעַד עוֹלָם. וְתָאִיר עָלַי בְּאוֹר פָּנֶיךָ, וְיִהְיוּ פָנַי מְאִירוֹת בִּקְדֻשָּׁה גְּדוֹלָה עַל־יְדֵי אוֹר הַבּוּשָׁה דִּקְדֻשָּׁה שֶׁתַּמְשִׁיךְ עָלַי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ וּבַחֲסָדֶיךָ הַגְּדוֹלִים, עַד שֶׁיֵּבוֹשׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲלוּ מִפָּנַי כָּל רוֹאַי שֶׁיִּפֹּל עֲלֵיהֶם בּוּשָׁה וְיִרְאָה גְּדוֹלָה מִפָּנַי, עַל־יְדֵי קְדֻשַּׁת אוֹר הַתְּפִלִּין שֶׁתַּמְשִׁיךְ עָלַי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ, וְיִתּוֹסֵף לָהֶם יְדִיעָה גְּדוֹלָה וְהַכָּרָה חֲדָשָׁה דִקְדֻשָּׁה וְיִרְאָה וּבוּשָׁה גְּדוֹלָה, עַל־יְדֵי קְדֻשַּׁת אוֹר הַפָּנִים שֶׁתַּמְשִׁיךְ עָלַי בְּחֶמְלָתְךָ הַגְּדוֹלָה. וִיקֻיַּם בִּי מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, וְרָאוּ כָּל עַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ כִּי שֵׁם יְהֹוָה נִקְרָא עָלֶיךָ וְיָרְאוּ מִמֶּךָּ:

And have mercy upon You and upon Your children who wander and roam in this great exile — for these many hundreds of years: scattered sheep with none to gather them. And the Shechinah , as it were, is with them in exile — like a bird that wanders from its nest — so a man who wanders from his place [ Proverbs 27:8 ]. And in the distress of the times Your people Israel wander and roam — bewildered and confused. Master of the entire universe — see their affliction and their toil; and have compassion upon their displacement. Gather our scattered ones from the four corners of the earth — and bring near our dispersed from among the nations; and gather our scattered ones from the ends of the earth; and bring us to Zion Your city in joyful song. And grant me merit to walk and to journey and to come to the Land of Israel in my lifetime — swiftly and speedily. And help me and grant me merit to engage in Your holy Torah for its own sake always day and night. And help me to do complete repentance and to repair speedily in my lifetime all the blemishes I blemished before You through the great and severe sin of neglecting Torah [ bitul Torah ] — for which I was idle from words of Torah for many days and years. Have mercy upon me to repair all these blemishes — and grant me merit from now to engage in Your Torah and Your service for its own sake, always in truth and with a whole heart; and may I not give sleep to my eyes and slumber to my eyelids — except in the absolute minimum and the great necessity for the sustenance of the body. Rescue me from the fowler's snare [ Psalms 91:3 ]; rescue me like a deer from the hand and like a bird from the hand of the fowler. Help me — for upon You I lean. For You have already begun to save me greatly — and it does not befit You to abandon me. Act for Your sake and for the sake of the true holy tzadikim who are in the land — for upon their merit alone I lean and in their power I take refuge.

וְתַצִּילֵנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים מֵעַזֵּי פָּנִים, וְתַעַזְרֵנִי וְתוֹשִׁיעֵנִי וּתְמַלְטֵנִי שֶׁלֹּא יִהְיֶה לִי שׁוּם עַזּוּת דְּסִטְרָא אַחֲרָא כְּלָל, וּתְזַכֵּנִי מְהֵרָה לְהַכְנִיעַ וּלְשַׁבֵּר וּלְבַטֵּל עַזּוּת הַגּוּף וְתַאֲווֹתָיו וּמִדּוֹתָיו הָרָעִים. וּתְרַחֵם עָלַי וְתוֹשִׁיעֵנִי וְתַצִּילֵנִי מִכָּל מִינֵי פְּגַם הַבְּרִית שֶׁבָּעוֹלָם, בְּמַחֲשָׁבָה דִּבּוּר וּמַעֲשֶׂה, בִּרְאִיַּת הָעַיִן וּבִשְׁמִיעַת הָאֹזֶן וּבִשְׁאָר חוּשִׁים, בְּכֻלָּם אֶזְכֶּה לִהְיוֹת קָדוֹשׁ וְטָהוֹר בִּקְדֻשַּׁת הַבְּרִית בִּקְדֻשָּׁה גְּדוֹלָה כִּרְצוֹנְךָ הַטּוֹב בֶּאֱמֶת, כָּרָאוּי לְאִישׁ יִשְׂרְאֵלִי, אֲשֶׁר בָּהֶם בָּחָרְתָּ:

And help me that I be complete in faith and trust in You always — and may I not perform any action and not engage in any occupation and not journey any journey for the sake of livelihood at all. Rather may I merit to know and believe in You with complete faith and strong trust — that You will sustain me. And may You provide me my livelihood from Yourself in completeness at home without any journeying and displacement in the world at all; and without any doing or work or occupation at all. And may all my journeys to any road and all my occupations and actions be only for Your Name and Your service alone in truth — and as Your will I shall do; and may I intend in my journeys and my occupations no benefit for myself whatsoever — only for Your Name and Your service alone in truth and sincerity. For all is Yours — the soul is Yours and the body is Yours; and without You I shall not lift my hand or my foot to do any occupation or any journey in the world. For You are my G‑d: Your good spirit shall lead me in a level land [ Psalms 143:10 ]. And may You provide me my livelihood from Yourself in great abundance before I need it — in such a manner that I am able to engage in Your Torah and Your service always. And may I have no confusion, G‑d forbid, from the burden of livelihood at all. And may You open Your good treasury for us — and may You send rain at its time as a blessing and for life and for satiety; and may You pour satiety and cheapness in the world — and may Your people Israel not need one another nor another people. And may You draw peace in the world. And may the verse be fulfilled: He Who places peace within your borders — He sates you with the finest of wheat [ Psalms 147:14 ]. And be in our help always — in such a manner that we merit to spend our days in the true good, the eternal good; to engage all our days in Torah and the service of Hashem in truth as Your good will desires; and may we not turn from the words of Torah right or left. And teach me and instruct me always the path wherein I shall walk and the deed that I shall do. Do not forsake me, Hashem my G‑d — do not be distant from me. Hasten to my help — Hashem, my salvation [ Psalms 38:22–23 ]. May it be the will before You, Hashem our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers: that You have mercy upon me and grant me merit to always be in joy; and may I merit to always be joyful in the joy of a commandment [ simchah shel mitzvah ]; and may I exult and rejoice in You and in Your salvation always — for all the lovingkindnesses that You have done with us; for You chose us from all the peoples and exalted us above all the tongues and sanctified us with Your commandments and brought us close, our King, to Your service; and Your great and holy Name You have called upon us. And may I merit through Your mercies to always remember this goodness and this great lovingkindness — and to greatly rejoice in it always, every day and every time and every hour: and especially on Shabbosos and Festivals. For there is no measure or reckoning of the multitude of lovingkindnesses and goodnesses that You always bestow with me. How great is Your goodness that You have wrought with me [ cf. Psalms 31:20 ]. What shall I render to Hashem for all His benefits toward me? [ Psalms 116:12 ]. Were all the days ink and all the pools pens and the children of men scribes and tongues of praise — they would not suffice to explain and to recount one out of a thousand-thousands of the multitude of goodnesses and lovingkindnesses and rescues and great and awesome salvations; many miracles; and wonders of wonders of wonders — that He wondrously showed His lovingkindness with us, Lord of Hosts; Who saved our soul from all the tribulations and wanderings. Many things have You done, You Hashem my G‑d — Your wonders and Your thoughts toward us; none can be compared to You; I would tell and speak — they are more than can be counted [ Psalms 40:6 ]. Therefore it is certainly my obligation at every time to remember Your goodnesses and Your constant and ever-renewed lovingkindnesses upon me always — and to always rejoice in Your salvation. Please, Compassionate Father — help me and grant me merit to always be in joy; and may I merit to always stir myself to great joy — in particular on Shabbosos and Festivals. And may I merit that my heart be very greatly inflamed through the holy joy [ simchah dikdushah ] with great arousal of the heart; and with longing and passion and desire and great yearning for Your Name and Your service in truth and faith in great holiness and purity — until the arousal of the heart be drawn into my feet; until I merit to lift my feet in great joy; and may I merit to holy dancing [ rikudin dikdushah ] in great joy — in particular on Shabbosos and Festivals; and on the days on which You performed miracles for Israel. And save me from drunkenness always — and guard me and save me through Your mercies from wine that intoxicates; and from the arousal of the heart and dancing drawn from the Sitra Achra , G‑d forbid. And may I have no arousal of the inclination toward any desire at all. And grant me merit to the wine that gladdens G‑d and men [ yayin hamesame'ach Elokim va'anashim ]. And at every time when it is necessary to drink wine and strong drink — on Shabbosos and Festivals and in a cup of blessing [ kos shel berachah ]: grant me merit that my drinking be in very strict measure — only to broaden my mind in great holiness and to arrive at the joy of a commandment; at true and holy joy through this; at holy arousal of the heart; that my heart be inflamed in great holiness for Your Name and Your service in truth as Your good will desires. And guard me and save me through Your mercies from excessive drinking — and may I never come to drunkenness. Have pity and have mercy upon me — and grant me merit that I have the power to stir the root of the wine that gladdens [ shoresh yayin hamesame'ach ]: as it is written: And wine gladdens the heart of man [ Psalms 104:15 ]. And may You always gladden my heart in great holiness in truth — until I merit to holy dancing. And through the dancing with arousal of the holy heart through the wine that gladdens: may I merit through Your mercies to sweeten and nullify all the judgments that are grasped in the heels and feet [ b'akevim u'vaglin ]; and may You give us the power to nullify them and shatter them and sweeten them. And may all the judgments be nullified from upon us and from upon all Your people the House of Israel from now and forever. And may You draw upon us the root of the firstborn and the blessing [ shoresh habechorah v'haberachah ]. And may the verse be fulfilled in us: Israel is My firstborn son [ Exodus 4:22 ]. And it is said: I too shall make him a firstborn — the highest of the kings of the earth [ Psalms 89:28 ]. And may You draw upon us an overflow of goodness and blessing and mercy and life and peace and all good always — and may You draw peace in the world; and nullify every kind of strife from the world.

לְשַׁבָּת־קוֹדֶשׁ

And grant me merit through Your mercies — to give money always for pidyon [redemption] to the true tzadikim of the generation. And may You stir through Your mercies the root of the holy hands of the Binah : the great hand [ yad hagedolah ], the strong hand [ yad hachazakah ], and the high hand [ yad haramah ]. And may the Name of 42 be stirred through Your mercies — which is: Please, with the power of Your great right hand — release the bound. Accept the song of Your people; uplift us, purify us, O Awesome One. Please, O Mighty One — those who seek Your Oneness: guard them as the apple of the eye. Bless them, purify them, pity them — may Your righteousness always repay them. Powerful Holy One — with Your abundant goodness, guide Your congregation. Only One, Exalted One — turn to Your people who proclaim Your holiness. Accept our plea and hear our cry — O Knower of hidden things [ Ana b'Koach ]. And in the merit of all the seven names — each of six letters combined in this prayer in acrostic form, which is the Name of 42 — through this may the judgments be sweetened at their root. And may You stir through Your mercies the supernal mercy from the light of the Face — and may You stir the 370 lights [ shin-ayin nehorin ] of the supernal Face; and the white [ chivvarta ] which is reckoned in peace [ mispar bashalon ]; and through this may You sweeten and nullify all the judgments from upon us and from upon all Your people the House of Israel always forever. And may You draw and connect and bind the vavs of these seven names with the pillars — and may they be connected and bound together in the secret of the vavs of the pillars and their clasps [ vavei ha'amudim vachashukeihem kesef ]; and through this may the supernal lovingkindness — which is the secret of the pure and holy silver — be drawn upon us. And through this may all the judgments be nullified from upon us and from upon our offspring and from upon all the offspring of Your people Israel forever. And may You send complete healing to the sick of Your people [ and in particular to so-and-so son of so-and-so, etc. ]: Please G‑d — please heal him [ Numbers 12:13 ]. And may You bring up a recovery and healing for all their ailments and all their pains — and may You restore them to their strength speedily; and may You speedily send them complete healing from Heaven: healing of the soul and healing of the body. For You are G‑d the faithful and merciful King Who heals. And have mercy upon us and help us and sanctify us in Your supernal holiness — and grant us merit through Your mercies and give us power from Yourself that it be within our power to also do pidyon to sweeten judgments from all of Israel in general and in particular; and to draw lovingkindness to all those who need lovingkindness — through my receiving the pidyon money into my hands; or through the drinking of the wine that gladdens in great holiness. And may I merit to raise my hands and feet to Hashem — G‑d Most High, Possessor of Heaven and earth [ El Elyon koneh shamayim va'aretz ] — in truth and complete faith and with holy arousal of the heart; in great joy as Your good will desires. And may You draw upon me the supernal protection drawn from the supernal chashmal — and may You purify me and my garments and clothing in the physical and the spiritual. And may You guard my going out and my coming in for good life and for peace from now and forever. And grant me merit through Your mercies — to fill the throats of true Torah scholars with the wine that gladdens; and may I merit that they come to great joy through me. And may You help me and save me and broaden my hand — that I merit to give to true tzadikim and Torah scholars much money for the pidyon of my soul and the souls of my sons and daughters and all who come from my loins — within the totality of the souls of Your people Israel; until we merit through Your mercies that all the judgments be sweetened at their root and the attribute of lovingkindness prevail over the attribute of judgment. And may You stir through Your mercies the supernal lovingkindness upon us — and from there may good lovingkindnesses always be drawn upon us: charity and blessing and mercy and life and peace; and may it be good in Your eyes to bless us and to bless all Your people Israel at every time and every hour with Your good peace. And may peace increase in the world. And may the verse be fulfilled: And all your children shall be taught of Hashem — and great shall be the peace of your children [ Isaiah 54:13 ]. Abundant peace to those who love Your Torah — and there is no stumbling-block for them [ Psalms 119:165 ]. See children to your children — peace upon Israel [ Psalms 128:6 ]. Peace be within your rampart — serenity within your palaces [ Psalms 122:7 ]. For the sake of my brothers and my companions — let me now speak of peace in you [ Psalms 122:8 ]. For the sake of the House of Hashem our G‑d — I shall seek your good [ Psalms 122:9 ]. Hashem shall give strength to His people — Hashem shall bless His people with peace [ Psalms 29:11 ].

וּתְזַכֵּנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ לְקַבֵּל שַׁבָּתוֹת בִּקְדֻשָּׁה גְּדוֹלָה וּבְשִׂמְחָה וְחֶדְוָה רַבָּה, בְּגִילָה רִנָּה דִּיצָה וְחֶדְוָה אַהֲבָה וְאַחְוָה וְשָׁלוֹם וְרֵעוּת וְשָׁלוֹם גָּדוֹל. וְתַעַזְרֵנִי בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים לִשְׁמֹר אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת כְּהִלְכָתוֹ, וְתַצִּילֵנִי בְּשַׁבָּת קֹדֶשׁ מִכָּל מִכְשׁוֹל הַל"ט (הַשְּׁלוֹשִׁים וָתֵשַׁע) אָבוֹת מְלָאכוֹת וּמִתּוֹלְדוֹתֵיהֶם וּמִכָּל הַשְּׁבוּתִים דְּרַבָּנָן, וְיִהְיֶה אָז בְּעֵינַי כְּאִלּוּ כָּל מְלַאכְתִּי עֲשׂוּיָה, וְלֹא אַהַרְהֵר אָז אַחַר שׁוּם מְלָאכָה וְעֵסֶק וּמַשָּׂא וּמַתָּן, וְלֹא בְּשׁוּם חֶפְצֵי חֹל כְּלָל. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְקַדֵּשׁ אֶת דִּבּוּרַי בְּשַׁבָּת קֹדֶשׁ בִּקְדֻשָּׁה יְתֵרָה וַעֲצוּמָה, וְלֹא יִהְיֶה דִבּוּרִי שֶׁל שַׁבָּת כְּדִבּוּרִי שֶׁל חֹל, וְלֹא יֵצֵא מִפִּי שׁוּם דִּבּוּר בָּטֵל בְּשַׁבָּת קֹדֶשׁ. וְתַעַזְרֵנִי וּתְזַכֵּנִי לְקַדֵּשׁ אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת בְּכָל מִינֵי קְדֻשּׁוֹת, וּלְכַבְּדוֹ בְּכָל מִינֵי כָבוֹד וָעֹז וּפְאֵר, בְּמַאֲכָל וּמִשְׁתֶּה וּכְסוּת נָקִי, וּבְדִירָה נָאָה וְכֵלִים נָאִים בְּגַשְׁמִיּוּת, וּבְדִירָה נָאָה וְכֵלִים נָאִים בְּלִבִּי וְאֵבָרַי, וּבְשִׁיר וָשֶׁבַח וְרַנֵּן וְזִמְרָה בְּשִׂמְחָה וְחֶדְוָה גְּדוֹלָה, בְּיִרְאָה וְאַהֲבָה רַבָּה וַעֲצוּמָה וּבִדְבֵקוּת נִפְלָא וְעָצוּם לְשִׁמְךָ הַגָּדוֹל וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ. עַד שֶׁאֶזְכֶּה לְהַמְשִׁיךְ הַקְּדֻשָּׁה שֶׁל שַׁבָּת קֹדֶשׁ עַל כָּל שֵׁשֶׁת יְמֵי הַחֹל, עַד שֶׁכָּל שֵׁשֶׁת יְמֵי הַמַּעֲשֶׂה יִהְיוּ טְהוֹרִים וּקְדוֹשִׁים בִּקְדֻשַּׁת שַׁבָּת קֹדֶשׁ. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְהַכְנִיעַ וּלְבַטֵּל זֻהֲמַת הַנָּחָשׁ מִכָּל הַל"ט (הַשְּׁלוֹשִׁים וָתֵשַׁע) מְלָאכוֹת שֶׁל יְמֵי הַחֹל, עַד שֶׁכָּל הַל"ט (הַשְּׁלוֹשִׁים וָתֵשַׁע) מְלָאכוֹת וְכָל הָעֲסָקִים וְהַמַּשָּׂא וּמַתָּן שֶׁלִּי, יִהְיוּ מִזְדַּכְּכִים בִּקְדֻשָּׁה וּבְטָהֳרָה גְּדוֹלָה בִּקְדֻשַּׁת שַׁבָּת קֹדֶשׁ. וּתְזַכֵּנִי שֶׁאֶזְכֹּר אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת תָּמִיד וּלְהָכִין מָנָה יָפָה לְשַׁבָּת מֵאֶחָד בְּשַׁבָּת, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב, זָכוֹר אֶת יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת לְקַדְּשׁוֹ, זָכְרֵהוּ מֵאֶחָד בְּשַׁבָּת. וְאֶזְכֶּה לְקַיֵּם מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, אִם תָּשִׁיב מִשַּׁבָּת רַגְלֶךָ עֲשׂוֹת חֲפָצֶךָ בְּיוֹם קָדְשִׁי וְקָרָאתָ לַשַּׁבָּת עֹנֶג לִקְדוֹשׁ יְהֹוָה מְכֻבָּד וְכִבַּדְתּוֹ מֵעֲשׂוֹת דְּרָכֶיךָ מִמְּצוֹא חֶפְצְךָ וְדַבֵּר דָּבָר, אָז תִּתְעַנַּג עַל יְהֹוָה וְהִרְכַּבְתִּיךָ עַל בָּמֳתֵי אָרֶץ וְהַאֲכַלְתִּיךָ נַחֲלַת יַעֲקֹב אָבִיךָ כִּי פִּי יְהֹוָה דִבֵּר. מָלֵא רַחֲמִים חוֹמֵל דַּלִּים, צוּר יִשְׂרָאֵל וּקְדוֹשׁוֹ. קוּמָה בְּעֶזְרָתֵנוּ וּמַלֵּא מִשְׁאֲלוֹתֵינוּ בְּרַחֲמִים, וְזַכֵּנוּ לִהְיוֹת דְּבוּקִים בְּךְ תָמִיד בְּכָל עֵת בֶּאֱמֶת וּבֶאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה בִּקְדֻשָּׁה וּבְטָהֳרָה גְּדוֹלָה כִּרְצוֹנְךָ הַטּוֹב בֶּאֱמֶת, וִיקֻיַּם בָּנוּ מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, וְאַתֶּם הַדְּבֵקִים בַּיהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם חַיִּים כֻּלְּכֶם הַיּוֹם. אָמֵן נֶצַח סֶלָה וָעֶד:

Hear, O G‑d, my joyful singing — give ear to my prayer [ Psalms 61:2 ]. Help me, Hashem my G‑d — that I merit to pray with great intention and with great joy and true arousal of the heart. And grant me merit through Your abundant mercies and help me to arrange my prayer before You in a voice of exultation and song [ b'kol gilah v'ranen ] — and may I merit to melodiously chant the letters of the prayer [ lenagen osiyos hatefilah ]; and may the voice of the melody be pleasant and pure and clear — in great purity and clarity; until I merit to clothe the Shechinah of Your might in luminous garments [ levushin dinehirin ]. And through this may You be filled with mercy toward Your people Israel — and see our troubles and our affliction and our toil and our pressing need in body and soul and money. And may You turn Your wrath from upon us. And may the verse be fulfilled: And I shall see it to remember the eternal covenant [ Leviticus 26:42 ]. And may You remember the covenant of our fathers Avraham, Yitzchak, Yaakov — and have mercy upon us in their merit. And may You give ear to our prayer and attend to our plea — and may our joyful singing appear before You. And may the verse be fulfilled: And He saw their distress when He heard their joyful singing [ Psalms 106:44 ]. And may You sweeten and nullify from upon us and from upon all Your people the House of Israel all the judgments in the world — and may You draw upon us an overflow of goodness and blessing and mercy and life and peace and all good; and may You always bestow good lovingkindnesses upon us. And therefore — grant us merit through Your abundant mercies and may You pour upon us Your holy faith; and grant us merit to the faith in the sages [ emunah b'chachamim ] in the ultimate completeness. And may I merit to believe in the sages and true tzadikim — that all their words and deeds are not simple but have mysteries [ razin ] within them. And may I merit through this to illuminate for the Matronita [the Shechinah ] — and to strip from her the dark garments [ levushin d'kadranuta d'pashtin ] that have spread upon her; and to clothe her in luminous garments [ levushin dinehirin ] which are the secrets of the Torah [ razin d'Oraisa ]. And through this may I merit to sweeten and nullify all the judgments from upon us and from upon all Your people Israel from now and forever. And help me and save me — that I merit to clothe the naked; to cover and to clothe many fitting poor people. And grant me merit and help me — that I merit to make beautiful garments for true tzadikim . And grant us merit through Your mercies to hear the sound of the shofar on Rosh HaShanah — from a fitting and valid and G‑d-fearing blower [ toke'a hagun v'kashair v'yerei Elokim ] — and may the sound of the tekiah and shevarim and teruah rise before You; and may they stir the merit of our fathers Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov — and may You gaze upon their merit. And through this may You calm and sweeten and nullify Your wrath from upon us — and may You return to us and illuminate Your face upon us. Our Father, our King — have pity and compassion upon us; and help us to arrive at all that we have requested before You. Help me! Help me! Be gracious to me! Be gracious to me! For upon You alone I lean. Please, Hashem — save now! Please, Hashem — bring success now! [ Psalms 118:25 ]. Bring success now to Your servant from this day — and help me and grant me merit to leap and to skip over all the vanities of this world and its desires swiftly and speedily. And may I merit to be truly bound to You in a firm and strong bond — and to always cleave to Your service day and night. Act for the sake of Your Name; act for the sake of Your right hand. For our needs are many and our mind is short to explain and to set forth; and every great and small thing that we need in the service of Hashem — our days would not suffice to explain and to set forth the immense multitude of the obstacles and delays that exist regarding this. And all our days would not suffice to seek and to beseech and to implore and to entreat You about this — that You grant us merit to shatter all the obstacles and merit to bring it from potential to actuality. For I know in truth that I am far from all the holy things through my many iniquities. But upon You alone I lean — and my eyes are raised to Your mercies at every time and every moment. My eyes have wept toward the heights — Hashem, I am oppressed; be my guarantor. Be guarantor for Your servant for good — let not the willful ones oppress me [ Isaiah 38:14 ]. Help me in the merit of our fathers and in the merit of all the true tzadikim — upon their merit alone I lean and in them I take refuge. For just as I am far from all the holy things — so may You be gracious to me through Your mercies and sanctify me in Your supernal holiness; and help me and grant me merit to speedily arrive at all the holy things. May I merit to turn completely from evil in truth — and may I always merit to do many commandments every day; to engage in Torah and prayer and acts of lovingkindness always all the days of my life. And grant me merit through Your abundant mercies — that I merit to know and to intend to engage more in the particular commandment that pertains to the root of my soul; and may my soul be drawn more after that commandment that pertains to my supernal root. And may I merit to greatly multiply in this commandment always at every time — in such a manner that I merit to repair in my lifetime all that I have corrupted. And may You always be filled with mercy toward me — and may You calm Your wrath from upon me; and do not deal with me according to my sins and do not judge me according to my deeds. Return us, O G‑d of our salvation — and turn away Your anger from us [ Psalms 85:5 ]. Show us, Hashem, Your lovingkindness — and Your salvation give to us [ Psalms 85:8 ]. Arise to our help and redeem us for the sake of Your lovingkindness [ Psalms 44:27 ]. Do not hide Your face from me on the day of my distress — incline Your ear to me; on the day I call, answer me speedily [ Psalms 102:3 ]. And I shall sing of Your strength — and I shall jubilate in the morning of Your lovingkindness; for You have been a stronghold to me and a refuge on the day of my distress [ Psalms 59:17 ]. O G‑d — a new song shall I sing to You; on a lyre of ten strings shall I sing to You [ Psalms 144:9 ]. I shall sing to Hashem in my lifetime — I shall sing to my G‑d while I exist [ Psalms 146:2 ]. My strength — to You shall I sing; for G‑d is my stronghold; the G‑d of my lovingkindness [ Psalms 59:18 ].
