And therefore grant us merit through Your abundant mercies to renew Torah novellae [ chidushin d'Oraisa ] on Shabbos doubly — true holy novellae, novellae that shall be for contentment and goodwill before You. And may we merit to bring forth the double portion of bread on the holy Shabbos day — which is the double Torah [ mishne Torah ]. And may You grant us merit to a doubled flow — to draw a doubled flow of the double Torah on the holy Shabbos day; and through the holiness of Shabbos may the flow be drawn to all the worlds. And help us and save us to receive the holy Shabbos with great joy, in reverence and love and great holiness and purity, and to delight in Shabbos with all manner of delight. And through the holiness of Shabbos may healing of the soul and healing of the body be drawn — for us and for all Israel. And may You heal us from all our afflictions and from all our ailments and may complete healing be elevated for all our wounds (and in particular for so-and-so the son of so-and-so). Please G‑d — please heal us, for You know our afflictions in body and soul. Heal us, Hashem , and we shall be healed — save us and we shall be saved, for You are our praise. And may You draw upon us through the holiness of Shabbos the illumination of the supernal repentance [ he'aras hateshuvah ila'ah ] — and may we merit speedily to return in complete repentance before You in truth; and may You grant us merit to repentance from love as Your good will desires. And may You draw grace and lovingkindness and majesty and splendor and glory upon all the truly upright ones of the generation [ keshirei hador ha'amitiyim ] — and may You give them grace and lovingkindness and mercy in Your eyes and in the eyes of all who behold them; and may You heal them from all their illnesses and from all their afflictions; and may they be honored in the eyes of the creatures. And each one according to his fitness shall receive beauty and glory — and be magnified in the eyes of the creatures; and through this there shall be made for them a vessel and a designation [ kli v'tziyun ] to receive within them the double Torah — Torah novellae to renew Torah novellae on Shabbos doubly. And have compassion upon us and help us through Your abundant mercies — and guard me that we not stumble in pride, G‑d forbid; and may we merit to feel our lowliness in all our limbs always; and may You pour upon us from Yourself wisdom, knowledge, understanding and intellect; in such a manner that we can express the ways of true humility without foolishness and falsehood; until we merit to true complete humility in truth. And may You save us through Your abundant mercies — and guard our mouths from lashon hara and slander and from all kinds of blemished speech; that no evil word come out of our mouth against any Jewish person in the world; and not any blemished word at all. My G‑d — guard my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceit [ cf. Tractate Berachos 17a ]. And may You be in our help that the blemish of speech and evil tongue of the people of the world not harm us — that we not be caught in their pride through the sin of their mouth, G‑d forbid. And from now may You help us and all Israel that we be guarded from the blemish of speech — and may we all merit to sanctify our mouths always with great holiness. And may You guard us from pride and haughtiness — and may You raise the Shechinah from Her exile; for She descended into great exile through the blemish of pride that comes through the iniquity of lashon hara, G‑d forbid. Have compassion upon us for the sake of Your Name and help us from now to repair all this — and may You guard us and save us from now from the very severe iniquity of lashon hara and from all kinds of blemish of speech; and may we merit to sanctify the speech of our mouth with all kinds of holiness; and through this may we merit to receive the illumination of the holy Shabbos from the truly enlightened ones of the generation in completeness. And may You save us from all kinds of pride and haughtiness and coarseness of spirit — and may You grant us true complete humility in truth. And may we merit to true life, holy life, and complete healing in body and soul, and to complete repentance from love drawn from the holiness of the holy Shabbos. And may You satisfy us from Your goodness and grant us merit to taste the taste of the holiness of Shabbos — which enlivens all the worlds; as it is said: those who taste it merit life . And may You pour upon us long life, good life — a life that has reverence of Heaven within it; a life in which we merit to turn from evil completely. And to return in complete repentance in truth. And to serve You in truth and with a complete heart and with true humility all the days of our life — we and our offspring from now and forever; until we merit to eternal life, to the day that is entirely Shabbos and rest for eternal life. Amen, victory, forever, and ever. Hashem — I heard Your report and I was afraid; Hashem — Your work: in the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath may You remember mercy [ Habakkuk 3:2 ]. Fear and trembling have come upon me and horror has covered me [ Psalms 55:6 ]. My flesh bristled from dread of You and from Your judgments I was in fear [ Psalms 119:120 ]. Who shall not fear You, O King of the nations — for to You it is fitting; for among all the wise of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like You [ Jeremiah 10:7 ]. G‑d is revered in the council of the holy ones and awesome above all who surround Him [ Psalms 89:8 ]. Therefore from before Him I am frightened — I contemplate and I am terrified of Him.

Master of the Universe — great and awesome G‑d; You are holy and Your Name is awesome; Whose reverence and dread is upon all the supreme heavenly beings [ shina'nei shachak ] and upon all the Serafim and the Ofanim and the holy Chayos; and upon all the upper and lower worlds and upon all the dwellers above and the dwellers below — all of them tremble and are in dread from the dread of Your Name. Have compassion and pity upon me with Your great compassion — and pour and draw upon me Your holy reverence; that I merit to fear and to be in dread and to tremble before You always in truth; in fear and trembling shall we crown You over us. And may we merit to feel Your holy reverence in all our 248 limbs and 365 sinews — and may Your reverence be upon our faces so that we not sin at all — neither inadvertently nor deliberately from now and forever. And the reverence of Hashem shall hover over us always in truth and in complete faith — until we merit through the reverence of Hashem to lengthen and to magnify our days; to add at every time and every moment additional extra holiness. And may all our days be expanded and lengthened and magnified each time more and more with additional holiness at every time and every moment — until we merit to true length of days and years; in holiness in truth as Your good will desires. And may we not consume our days in vanity, G‑d forbid — rather may we merit to guard all our days and hours and times and moments to add each time much additional holiness through the reverence of Hashem . And may the verse be fulfilled in us: The reverence of Hashem shall add days [ Proverbs 10:27 ]. And have compassion upon us and see our affliction and our distress — and in the straits broaden for us. For You know the immensity of the multitude of our troubles and our distress and our poverty and our toil that we have every single day from its very beginning — for it is very, very difficult for us; and we cannot begin any service at all: neither Torah nor prayer nor charity nor any holy deed. And each day our evil inclination overpowers us, G‑d forbid — and makes the yoke of Your service very heavy upon us without measure and reckoning; and presses us forcefully; and confounds our mind and wearies and torments our soul and spirit and neshamah ; and closes and locks all the gates and paths of holiness from before us; and wants to bind us, G‑d forbid, in the chains of poverty and iron [ cf. Psalms 107:10 ]. And humbled our heart with toil — until we stumbled and there is no helper. Full of mercy — Master of all: You alone know the distresses of our heart, for it is evil and bitter — for it has reached the soul. You know all the trouble that has befallen us. Look please upon our affliction and plead our cause; have compassion and mercy and pity please upon us. Turn toward us with mercy for You are the Master of mercy — and give us strength and power every single day and every single moment and every single hour and every single time; that we merit always to repel and drive out and nullify our evil inclination from within us; and to accept upon ourselves the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven with love in truth at every time and every moment. And to lengthen our days and our years through the true reverence of Hashem — to add holiness and purity every hour and every day and every week and every month and every year; until we merit to true length of days and years; to good old age and hoary head of holiness. And may we not lose even one day or one hour from all our days forever. In such a manner that when You gather us to You in peace — we merit to come and to ascend and to appear before You with all our days and years; that they all be complete, holy and pure with additional holiness upon holiness; and may we never be shamed or disgraced forever. And therefore grant me merit through Your abundant mercies — and guard me and save me always from false grace [ chein shel sheker ] and from the vanity of beauty; and may I not covet and not desire in my heart the vanity of women's beauty; and may I not gaze at them; and may I not stray after my heart and after my eyes at all — as it is written: Do not covet her beauty in your heart — for through a wanton woman one comes to a loaf of bread [ Proverbs 6:25–26 ]. Please Hashem — have compassion and pity upon us as a gratuitous gift and a generous act of lovingkindness; have compassion upon us through Your abundant mercies and Your great mercies — and do not deal with us according to our sins and do not judge us according to our deeds. Grant us merit to turn from evil; deliver us from such evil; grant us merit from now to truly sit and not do. Have compassion upon our holy soul and rescue it from the pit; deliver me from mud and may I not sink — may I be rescued from my enemies and from the deep waters [ cf. Psalms 69:15 ]. Let not the flood waters wash over me and let not the depths swallow me and let not the pit close its mouth over me [ Psalms 69:16 ]. For what profit is there in my blood in my going down to the pit — will the dust acknowledge You? Will it tell Your truth? [ Psalms 30:10 ]. For I know not at all how to guard and watch myself from what I must be on guard against — except that upon You alone I cast my burden. Behold I am before You full of shame and disgrace — do with me what You shall do in Your abundant mercies and Your great lovingkindnesses; and return me in complete repentance before You in truth. And save me from the blemish of the covenant — and may no evil thought whatsoever come upon me and no evil reflection at all; and may You sanctify me with Your supernal holiness always. And may You guard me and save me always from false grace and the vanity of beauty — and may You grant me merit that I conduct no false grace myself; neither in sitting nor in standing nor in walking; nor in my eating nor in my speech with people; nor in any other movement or dealing with people: in which people are very much caught in these false graces and conduct a unique grace for each and every movement. Please Hashem — have mercy upon me and guard me and save me from all these kinds of false grace; that I not be caught in them at all in any movement or any dealing; rather may all my deeds be for the sake of Heaven without any ulterior motive to show off or to find grace in the eyes of people, G‑d forbid; and may all my intention in all my movements and dealings be only for Your Name alone — for Hashem alone. And may I draw upon myself complete fear always from before You in truth — and may the reverence of Heaven be upon me like the reverence of flesh and blood; until I merit through the reverence to lengthen and expand and magnify my days and years in Your supernal holiness. And may we merit to illuminate and draw upon us and upon all Israel illumination and great holiness from the Tikkun of Atik [ tikkunei Atik ] — which is drawn and flows through the true aged holy tzadikim ; and through this may we merit to great holy wealth [ ashirus dikdushah ]. And may You guard us and save us from the desire for immorality always — and may You help us that we merit to have compassion upon ourselves to guard the vital fluids and oils in our body that they rise to the brain to complete and magnify our holy mind; and may they not flow outward, G‑d forbid, through excessive intimacy [ ribuy mishgal ]. And may You save us from the spirit of foolishness and madness that comes through the desire of immorality, G‑d forbid — through which the vital fluids and oils of the body dry up, G‑d forbid; from which comes all madness in the world. Have compassion upon us and save us from this — and may we have compassion upon our body and soul and spirit and neshamah ; and may we merit to greatly guard the oils in our body. And may You save us from shortness of breath and interruption of breathing — and may You grant us merit to length of breath; that we merit to draw to ourselves always the spirit of holy life at every time and every hour and every moment. And may You guard our mind always — and may we merit to draw always at every time holy oils to our mind; until our mind burns with great holy contemplation; and may our brain and our mind go and grow in great holiness in truth. And may You grant us merit to great holy wealth drawn from the chips of the Tablets [ pesolet haluchos ] — from which Moshe grew wealthy; until we merit through this to the very great, exalted and awe-inspiring holy supernal contemplation — which is drawn through great holy wealth. And may we merit to reverence in completeness in all its aspects and its parts and its fine details. And may the three lines of reverence [ sheloshah kavei hayir'ah ] be drawn upon us — which are comprised of three times three: which are the reverence of Heaven [ mora shamayim ], the reverence of the rabbi [ mora harav ], and the reverence of father and mother [ mora av va'aim ] — in all their parts and aspects. And may You give Your dread, Hashem our G‑d, upon all Your works and Your awe upon all that You have created; and may all Your works fear You and all creatures bow before You; and may they all become one union to do Your will with a complete heart. And therefore have compassion upon us through Your abundant mercies and great and immense lovingkindnesses — and stir us from our sleep; for through our many iniquities sleep has greatly overpowered us; until these many days and years the true tzadikim have been occupied with stirring us and awakening us from our sleep and our deep slumber. And in many ways and manners and through many causes and great and immense toils and efforts they labored and toiled for our sake — and condensed His G‑dliness, blessed be He, for our sake; and they illuminated for us the face of the holy Torah; and dressed us in the face of the holy Torah in many and many ways — in Torah discourses and in story-tales of ancient times; as all that we have seen in their holy books and heard from their holy mouths: words that are very high and immense and awesome beyond all end; words that stand at the height of the height of the world; words drawn from You in truth; words that have the power to stir and awaken all the people of the entire world from their great sleep — great and small alike; and we have still not stirred and have not repented from our error. And now what right do we have to cry further to the King? What was not done for us — that was not done for us through Your holy and awesome tzadikim and sages who were in every generation from the day of the giving of our holy Torah until this very day; all of them as one stirring and awakening us with great stirring — and no one takes it to heart. And I — poor and suffering and dying: I have no escape or rescue except that I cry out and shout. My voice to Hashem — I cry; and He answers me from His holy mountain forever [ Psalms 3:5 ]. I lay down and slept; I awoke — for Hashem supports me [ Psalms 3:6 ].

Please Hashem — before Whom there is no sleep or slumber; as it is written: Behold — the Guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps [ Psalms 121:4 ]. And You stir those who are asleep and awaken those who slumber — You revive the dead and heal the sick; You open the eyes of the blind and raise up those who are bowed down; You give speech to the mute and release those who are bound. Please through Your abundant mercies — stir me, please; awaken me, please; raise me up, please; through Your abundant mercies. Turn toward me and be gracious to me — for solitary and poor am I [ Psalms 25:16 ]. The distresses of my heart have enlarged — from my straits bring me out [ Psalms 25:17 ]. See my affliction and my toil and forgive all my sins [ Psalms 25:18 ]. See my enemies for they are many and with violent hatred they hate me [ Psalms 25:19 ]. Guard my soul and rescue me — may I not be ashamed for I have taken refuge in You [ Psalms 25:20 ]. Help me and be gracious to me from now that I merit to be stirred from my great sleep — which has overpowered me through my evil deeds and also through the desire of eating and drinking. Help me to be stirred with great stirring and to return to You in truth absolutely with great diligence. And may You save me from now from all kinds of sins and iniquities and transgressions — and be with me always; and guard me and save me from the blemish of the desire of eating and drinking; and may I merit that my eating always be in great holiness and purity without any physical desire at all. And may my eating and drinking always be from food that has been clarified for human consumption — and may You shield me and guard me and save me that no food or drink that has not yet been clarified for human consumption come into my mouth; which can destroy, G‑d forbid, the holy countenance through these foods; and cause one to fall into sleep, G‑d forbid. Rather may I merit to eat in great holiness clarified foods — foods that are in the holiness of the Showbread [ lechem hapanim ]; through which I merit to a good heart, a joyful heart and a holy countenance; and may You save me from foods that bring evil to the heart. Master of the Universe — save me from evil of the heart; save me from crookedness in the heart; grant me merit to goodness of heart in truth; do with me a gratuitous act of lovingkindness; and command through Your great lovingkindnesses to speedily return and restore to me all the lost things that I have lost until now. And may You draw upon me the holy countenance drawn from ancient times — from the adornment of the face [ hadras panim ]; where all the seventy faces of the Torah are rooted. According to Your lovingkindness revive me and I shall keep the testimony of Your mouth [ Psalms 119:88 ]. Gracious and compassionate Hashem — slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness. To You my heart said: seek My face; Your face, Hashem , shall I seek; do not hide Your face from me, do not turn in anger Your servant away — You have been my help; do not abandon me and do not forsake me, G‑d of my salvation [ Psalms 27:8–9 ]. Illuminate Your face upon Your servant — save me in Your lovingkindness [ Psalms 31:17 ]. Make Your face shine upon Your servant — and teach me Your statutes [ Psalms 119:135 ]. Turn to me and be gracious to me — give Your strength to Your servant; and save the son of Your handmaid [ Psalms 86:16 ]. Hashem G‑d of Hosts — restore us; illuminate Your face and we shall be saved [ Psalms 80:4 ]. Awake my honor — awake the lute and the harp; I shall awaken the dawn [ Psalms 57:9 ]. And have compassion upon me and save me and grant me merit that I merit to be among the fitting and worthy students — that I merit to hear and to well remember the voice of the words of the true tzadikim ; all that they did and accomplished for our sake; all the holy words that we merited to hear from their mouths and from the writing of their pen; all the great and awesome things; all the great work of Hashem that they did for our sake; who left after them a blessing — their holy books: more desirable than gold and great fine gold and sweeter than honey and dripping combs. Illuminating the eyes and reviving the soul from paths of death to paths of life. And may I merit that their words enter my ears and my heart — and may I well hear their holy words and not forget any part of my teaching. Please — have compassion upon my very wretched and very abused soul; and have pity upon me with Your great compassion; and give me hope that I not be lost; and give me a good end. And have compassion upon me from now that I merit from today to remind myself of all the words of Hashem that we heard from our holy teachers, may their memory be for a blessing; in such a manner that I merit to truly be stirred from my great sleep. For I am walking wandering and errant like a sheep without a shepherd [ cf. Numbers 27:17 ]; like a mast on the top of a mountain and like a ship in the heart of the sea [ cf. Isaiah 30:17 ]. I am wakeful and I have become like a solitary bird upon a roof [ Psalms 102:8 ]. Please — awake! stir, please; rouse yourself, please; awaken now! Stand now, arise now; entreat the face of G‑d with the best meditation. My soul, my soul — prostrate yourself to the dust and bow to Him; and put your mouth to the dust. And you shall speak from the ground and your utterance shall whisper from the dust [ Isaiah 29:4 ]. Perhaps there is hope. Perhaps the Hashem of Hosts shall be gracious [ cf. Amos 5:15 ]. Perhaps Hashem shall act — according to all His wonders that He performed with our fathers. What ails you that you sleep — arise and call to your G‑d; perhaps G‑d shall take thought for us and we shall not be lost [ Jonah 1:6 ] — perhaps He shall have pity on a poor and destitute people, perhaps He shall have mercy. Awake, my brother, from the sleep of your foolishness; awaken and arouse! How long will you sleep, O sluggard — when will you arise from your sleep? [ Proverbs 6:9 ]. A little more sleep, a little more slumber, a little more folding of the hands to lie down [ Proverbs 6:10 ]. Give no sleep to your eyes and no slumber to your eyelids [ Proverbs 6:4 ]. Be rescued like a deer from a hand and like a bird from a fowler’s snare [ Proverbs 6:5 ]. Remember — do not forget how many days and years you angered Hashem your G‑d; yet even so the lovingkindnesses of Hashem toward you have not ceased; and at every time He occupies Himself to stir you and awaken you from your sleep through His abundant lovingkindnesses. Remember how many times they stir and awaken you in so many kinds of stirring without measure or account or number — which would be incredible to recount; that it should be possible to sleep from the sound of the crying out and the stirring and the proclamations and hints and glimmerings such as these: openly and covertly; the herald crying out with great power, a great voice that did not cease [ cf. Deuteronomy 5:19 ]; and the sound of the great shofar going and strengthening in its sound every day and every time and every hour. Behold He gives forth His voice with power and says: Awake you sleepers from your slumber and you who are in deep sleep rouse from your drowsiness! And you have still not returned from your error; you are still rolling about in the middle of the road; in the midst of murky mud and mire; in the midst of the depths of foolish vanities — will you yet not return? You are still wrapping yourself in yourself so as not to set yourself free; that you return to do the will of your Fashioner and your Creator — which is all the longing and desire and strong and immense yearning of your soul. And do not say, G‑d forbid, words of despair — saying: my iniquities are with me; and in them you will waste away, G‑d forbid; and it is no longer possible for you to repent from your foolishness and stupidities; for your iniquities have passed over your head; until G‑d forbid your everlastingness and your hope has been lost. Ahah — Ahah! Have compassion and pity upon yourself and upon your few determined days that you still have to tarry a little in this world that passes like the blink of an eye. And do not say such things, G‑d forbid — for this is worse than the first; for thoughts and reflections and confusions such as these are harsh and harmful; and anger your Creator more than all the sins and iniquities and transgressions that you have done from your beginning until this very day. For I still have great hope at every time and every hour and every moment: the lovingkindnesses of Hashem have not ceased for they have not been exhausted — His mercies are forever [ Lamentations 3:22 ]. And hidden from you and unknown to you is the immensity of the multitude of His mercy and His great lovingkindnesses upon all who desire to return in truth — even though they have not yet repented. And His entire salvation and His entire desire, blessed be He, is to return and to have compassion upon all who wait and anticipate and long and burrow in the tunnel to find rescue and escape to return to the Blessed Name — even though they are overpowered at every time more and more; and days and many years do not allow them to return to their Father’s house. Even so — His lovingkindness has overpowered and overpowers them and us very greatly, beyond all measure and account and number; what the mouth cannot speak and the heart cannot think. If all the seas were ink and all the lakes quills and all the people scribes and praising tongues — they would not suffice to set forth and explain even one in a thousand and ten thousand of His abundant lovingkindnesses; which He deals with in His lovingkindness in every generation. And in particular upon those who groan and are crushed and wait and anticipate to return to Him, blessed be He, in truth — have you not already now called to Him: my Father, you are the companion of my youth [ cf. Jeremiah 3:4 ]? Will He quarrel forever — will He be watchful to the end? [ Jeremiah 3:5 ]. Be strong and strengthen yourself and renew yourself at every time — and begin from now to serve your Creator in truth; abandon your evil ways and your shameful thoughts; forget your vanities and foolishnesses; remove anger from your heart and put away evil from your flesh [ cf. Koheles 11:10 ]; bind yourself in truth to the Blessed Name; and do not return again to foolishness. Lift your eyes upward and remember your ancient love. Awake, awake — arise my soul; awaken, awaken! Speak a song; be not silent and be not still. Raise your voice sweetly and open your mouth and bring forth your pleasant words before the Holy Blessed One — open your mouth and may your words illuminate.

And therefore grant me merit through Your abundant mercies — that I merit through the stirring from sleep to strong holy speech; that I merit through Your mercies to speak holy words always with great power and with true self-sacrifice [ mesiras nefesh ] and a complete heart; and may I merit to put all my strength into the words of prayer and into all holy speech. And may the verse be fulfilled: Bless Hashem — His angels, mighty of power, who do His word, hearkening to the voice of His word [ Psalms 103:20 ]. And may You grant us merit to great holy trust [ bitachon dikdushah ] — for You know the immensity of the lack of livelihood at this time; for money has run out and the small coin has been exhausted from the purse; and the needs of Your people are very many; for even the necessities alone are also very many: needs of food and drink and clothing and dwellings and other essential requirements. And we know not what to do — for our eyes are upon You; for we do not know at all from where to seek our livelihood; and we have no hope or trust except upon You alone — upon You alone our eyes are raised. Therefore we have come to ask of You — full of mercy; that You be gracious to us through Your great lovingkindnesses; and pour upon us the attribute of trust [ midas habitachon ] in completeness: that we merit to trust in You in truth and complete faith with strong and firm trust; that You shall fill all our needs; and that You shall give us our livelihood in completeness. And You through Your mercies shall be filled with compassion upon us at every time — and shall give us all our needs and all the needs of our household with great expansiveness; and may You provide us our livelihood before we need it: in the permitted and not the forbidden; with honor and not with disgrace; with ease and not with constraint; from beneath Your wide and full hand; in such a manner that we merit to do Your will all the days of our life forever. And may we merit that our words be in great holiness — until we have the power to visit barren women through our words [ lifkod akoros b'diburenu ]; and may the vessels of speech be adjacent to the vessels of birth [ klei hadibbur s'mukhim l'klei haveladah ]. And may we merit to bring forth through our words in holiness holy births — and may Your people Israel multiply like the sand that is on the shore of the sea and like the stars of heaven in multitude; and may there be among us no barren man or barren woman [ Deuteronomy 7:14 ]; and may You visit all those who are without children with an enduring offspring for Your service and Your reverence. And through this may full reverence be revealed — great reverence in the world; and may You pour Your reverence and Your dread upon all who come into the world; and may every created being know that You created it and every formed being understand that You formed it. And may we merit to all the portions of reverence in completeness — and through the reverence may we merit to humble and shatter and nullify false grace and the vanity of beauty; as it is written: False is grace and vain is beauty — a woman who fears Hashem is she who shall be praised [ Proverbs 31:30 ]. And may we merit to lengthen our days and years in great holiness — to add holiness and purity at every time; so that we not toil in vain and not give birth to futility [ Isaiah 65:23 ]. And may we merit to the repair of all the worlds anew — and to draw upon us always the illumination of the Tikkun Atik drawn through the true elderly holy tzadikim . And in their merit may we merit to flow and great holy wealth [ ashirus dikdushah ] — all the wealth of the world; in such a manner that we merit through this wealth to very great and supernal contemplation in Your Torah and Your service; and in the attainment of Your G‑dliness in great holiness and purity — in truth and complete faith as Your good will desires in truth from now and forever. May G‑d be gracious to us and bless us — may He illuminate His face with us forever [ Psalms 67:2 ]. Awesome is G‑d from His sanctuaries — the G‑d of Israel, He gives strength and power to the people; blessed is G‑d [ Psalms 68:36 ]. Those who fear Hashem — praise Him; all the seed of Yaakov — honor Him; and be in dread of Him all the seed of Israel. For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted — and He has not hidden His face from him; and when he cried to Him He heard [ Psalms 22:24–25 ]. May G‑d bless us and may all the ends of the earth fear Him [ Psalms 67:8 ]. The beginning of wisdom is the reverence of Hashem — good understanding to all who practice it; His praise endures forever [ Psalms 111:10 ]. Blessed is Hashem G‑d the G‑d of Israel — Who alone does wondrous things. And blessed be His glorious Name forever; and may His glory fill all the earth — Amen and Amen [ Psalms 72:18–19 ]. Great of counsel and mighty of deed — Whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of man; to give to every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds [ Jeremiah 32:19 ]. You know and understand their thoughts and their secret; and from the hand of all who oppress them You redeem and ransom them. Have compassion upon me for the sake of Your Name — and help me and save me and grant me merit to Your holy counsels hidden in the Torah novellae of the true tzadikim ; that I merit to find and to feel Your holy counsels hidden in their holy Torah novellae. And may the holy counsels be revealed to me — the counsels hidden in Torah novellae: to know through them what to do and what to counsel myself to return to You in truth. And grant me merit through Your abundant mercies to find and to receive Your counsel always in every need of mine — whether great or small; and may I not require the counsel of flesh and blood at all; rather may I merit that my counsel come only from You alone through the holy Torah. Please Hashem — full of mercy; Who has pity upon the poor; Who hears the groaning of the destitute: have compassion and pity upon us for the sake of Your Name; for the sake of Your abundant mercies; for the sake of Your immense lovingkindnesses; for the sake of the true tzadikim . And may You pour and draw upon us Your holy blessing and Your holy peace; and guard us from the power of all strife and quarrel. And may You protect us and guard us and save us always from all who quarrel and dispute with us and speak against us — and frustrate all their plots and destroy all their evil thoughts. And may You give us the power and the strength and the vitality to rise above all strife and quarrel; and to take counsel from You always through the holy Torah; and may our soul be attached above — in the Root of the Roots. And have compassion upon us and save us, our Father in Heaven; Master of all; Master of peace; King Whose peace belongs to Him. And may You draw upon us blessing and life and peace — and save us from all manner of quarrels and disputes; and protect us and guard us and save us always from all who quarrel and contend with us and speak against us and plot against us. And may we rise above all of them and receive counsel from You alone through the holy Torah. And may You be gracious to us from Yourself with holy intellect that we not be ruined through strife and quarrel — and may we know how to act from the counsel of the holy Torah at every time. For You know our weakness — and we have no counsel or refuge except the counsel of the holy Torah. And in the merit of the true tzadikim who repair the power of counsel — may You give us at every time the counsel fitting for us according to Your good will. He repays the man his righteousness and his faithfulness; for Hashem delivered you into my hand today and I did not want to stretch my hand against the anointed of Hashem [ I Samuel 26:23 ]. Please Hashem — grant me merit through Your abundant mercies to repair all this; that I merit to have compassion upon my soul and to look carefully at myself and to understand and comprehend from within the dispute that quarrels against me — how far I have blemished; and to judge myself at every time with complete holy judgment; and to know how to repair everything from now onward in truth and with a complete heart. And may You be with me at every time and every hour; that I merit to receive counsel from the holy Torah always and at every time — through the merit of the true holy tzadikim who illuminate counsels from Torah novellae.
Master of the Universe — save me from the band of mockers [ kas letzim ]; and guard me always and save me that I never mock or jest, G‑d forbid, over any book of Your holy Torah; and save me from the harsh and bitter punishment that comes upon one who mocks — that one falls from holiness below holiness until the very bottom. And may You not allow, G‑d forbid, the spirit of mockery to grasp hold of me at all — and may I not come to mock over any matter of holiness in any aspect whatever; and may I merit to treat all words of the true tzadikim with the highest honor; and may I merit in Your mercies to always engage in the holy Torah with great diligence; and to expound Torah novellae always in truth. And may no mocking of my Torah novellae befall me — nor any spirit of mockery at all. And grant me merit through Your abundant mercies — that I merit to toil in Your holy Torah with great exertion and to contemplate it day and night; until I merit to understand and to comprehend and to arrive at true Torah novellae in Your holy Torah; and to expound them with great holiness and purity; and not to be ashamed to say them before any person. And may my Torah novellae be holy and pure and accepted favorably before You — and may they give strength and power to the holy angels above; and may they be accepted favorably before You as if I fulfilled all the Torah from Alef to Tav. And may every new thing I arrive at in the Torah illuminate the faces of Israel — and may it enter the hearts of all who hear it. And may the verse be fulfilled: And her lamp does not go out at night [ Proverbs 31:18 ]. Full of mercy — fill my requests for good with mercies; and grant me merit speedily to the faith in the sages in completeness in truth in all its aspects. And may You sprinkle upon us pure water and purify us from all our impurities and from all our idolatries. And may You wipe away [ Ezekiel 36:25 ] all the blemishes of faith in the sages from us and from upon all Your people the House of Israel; and may You restore and return the faith in the sages in great completeness in truth. And in the merit of the faith in the sages — may You restore the power of the hands to all the holy angels, that they receive their flow from above and bestow upon all the grasses and all the things in the world. And may You send complete healing for all our afflictions of body and soul — and may we merit that Your holy counsel be engraved in our hearts; and may You grant us complete holy da'as . Have compassion and pity upon my very wretched soul — and rescue me from foolish counsels; from the counsel of women; from weak counsels; from counsel split in two [ etzah chalukah lishtayim ]; and may You not conceal Your true counsel from me; and may my counsel not be split in two at any time — that I not lean to the right and to the left simultaneously; and may You illuminate for me in what I must do in truth as Your good will desires. And may I merit at every time and every hour to find and to receive counsel from the holy Torah — and may the holy counsel shine on my face as well. And may You always be with me — at every time and every step and every matter and every movement; and may You direct my ways from Heaven to do Your will in truth as Your good will desires from now and forever. My Father in Heaven — have compassion upon me; my Father in Heaven: I do not know in what language of mercy, in what language of crying out, in what language of sighing and groaning I shall cry out to You — in such a manner that You answer me and stand by me and hear my prayer. Full of mercy — hear my prayer and answer me speedily. Do not ignore my request — and do not hide Your face from my supplication. Have compassion upon me — and strengthen and uphold me in holiness and purity. And may I merit through Your mercies to hear and to receive counsel from the Torah novellae of the true tzadikim — and to be stirred by them to return to You in truth. And may I merit to trust in You completely — and may my soul cleave to You in truth. And may the verse be fulfilled: He will guard the feet of His holy ones [ I Samuel 2:9 ].
טו שְׁבָט
And guard us and save us through Your abundant mercies from false leaders [ manhigim shel sheker ] — and guard us that we not draw near to them; and not give them strength; and not rely upon them with the title of rabbi; and may we distance ourselves from them in all manner of distancing. And may we merit that all our drawing near and all our cleaving be only to the true and holy tzadikim — and may we merit to truly know and to distinguish between a true tzadik and a false leader. And may You illuminate for us always which is the right way to walk in truth; and may we go in the right and true way as Your good will desires. Master of the Universe — grant us merit to repair all this; and give us complete da'as that we merit to know who are the liars and the false leaders and to distance ourselves from them; and who are the true and holy tzadikim and sages — to draw near to them and to cleave to them and to travel to them always; and to receive counsel from them and guidance for our every step; and to act upon all their words as if we were acting upon the word of the living G‑d. And may we merit to truly know and to distinguish between truth and falsehood; between holiness and the Sitra Achra . And may the verse be fulfilled in us: The upright shall dwell in Your presence [ Psalms 140:14 ]. And help us through Your abundant mercies — that we merit to travel to true tzadikim on Rosh HaShanah; and there may all our souls be absorbed together in great comprehensiveness and in great love; and may we merit to the love of companions [ ahavas chaveirim ] in truth; and may our hearts be bound to one another in great love; and may we merit to speak together words of truth and righteousness between one person and his companion; and to stir one another to return to You in truth. And may You illuminate our faces always with the light of the holiness of Rosh HaShanah — the day of the coronation of the King; and may we merit to receive upon ourselves the Kingdom of Heaven completely; and to crown You as King over us in truth at every time and every moment. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You — Hashem , my Rock and my Redeemer [ Psalms 19:15 ]. May it be Your will, Hashem our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers — that You fix and plant Your faith in our hearts and in the hearts of all Your people the House of Israel. And may we merit that our faith be strong and firm in truth and with a complete heart — as strong and firm as sight: that our faith be like sight. And may our faith not waver at all — and may we merit that our faith be as complete and as strong as sight truly is. And may we never, G‑d forbid, have any doubt or confusion in our faith at all; and may our heart not be divided, G‑d forbid; and may we merit to serve You always with a complete heart — with simple and complete faith, truly, with great strength and firmness. Master of the Universe — Your eyes are indeed toward faithfulness [ Jeremiah 5:3 ]. Help us and save us and be gracious to us with Your holy faith in truth and with a complete heart; and may our heart not be divided, G‑d forbid; and may we merit to serve You always with a complete heart — in great and immense holiness. And may we merit to engage in the study of the legal codifiers [ sifrei haposkin ] — and to draw from the legal codifiers holy faith; and to adorn our faith always with new ornaments [ l'adorn emunosaynu b'takshitim chadashim ] — to strengthen and to restore and to add to our faith always new additions and ornaments. And may we know and feel with true and complete knowledge — that all that happens to us each day is in the framework of Your holy faith and complete divine Providence. And therefore help me through Your abundant mercies — that I merit to engage in the books of the legal codifiers with great diligence; and help me and save me to study greatly every day and every day the books of the legal codifiers. And may You open my mind and strengthen my heart that I merit to learn clearly and to understand each matter and each law in its truth and its correctness; and may I not confuse one matter with another at all; and may I always merit to rule the correct ruling. And may I clarify through faith — how to clarify the foods in the aspect of their being designated for human consumption; and may I merit to draw from the study of the legal codifiers the holy power of clarification and the holy faith; and may we merit through this to draw the distant near to Your holy faith and Your true service.
Master of the Universe — help me and save me and grant me merit to uprightness of heart in truth as Your good will desires. Have compassion and mercy upon me with Your true compassion — and grant me merit to complete faith in truth; until I merit through the faith to clarify the foods and to know truly whether they are properly designated for human consumption or not. And through this may I merit to uprightness of heart — and may my heart be directed always to You in truth, in great straightforwardness as Your good will desires. Please Hashem — full of mercy; help us through Your abundant mercies; and give us power from Yourself that we merit to draw the distant near to Your holy faith and to Your true service. And through this may You adorn Yourself and be adorned with the crown of our drawing near of the distant [ b'keter kiruvenu et har'chokim ]; and may You receive the crown from us — which is the drawing near of the distant. And help us to repair the blemish of speech — and help us to clarify and to raise up all the sparks of the letters of holy speech that fell in great exile among the klippos and the Sitra Achra through our many iniquities; through our going in the ways of the nations and following their ways. And may we merit to raise up all the fallen letters of speech and to return them to holiness; and may we merit to use our speech only for holy purposes. Master of the Universe — Master of the Universe — You know my heart; You know me from beginning to end; You know my shame and my disgrace and my humiliation — all my tormentors are before You. And I do not know any path or any way to speak or to request from You this matter — except that I cry out and call to You with a broken heart: Master of the Universe — have compassion upon me! Master of the Universe — have compassion upon me! My Father in Heaven — have compassion upon me! My heart cries out in anguish: what shall I say and what shall I speak? For my mouth cannot set forth before You all the immensity of my shame from the blemish of speech. And now I cast my burden upon You — that You be my helper and that You give me strength and power to repair the blemish of speech, to raise up the fallen letters and to draw from the legal codifiers the holy power of clarification through faith. And may the verse be fulfilled: She opens her mouth with wisdom and the Torah of lovingkindness is upon her tongue [ Proverbs 31:26 ]. And therefore help me through Your abundant mercies and Your great lovingkindnesses — and grant me merit to fast many fasts in great holiness and purity; in joy and goodness of heart as Your good will desires in truth; in such a manner that I merit through the fasts to repair the blemish of speech — to raise up all the letters of speech that fell among the klippos through my evil speech; and may I merit through the fasts to return them to holiness. And may I merit that the holy service of Hashem be renewed for me every single day — and may I merit to always begin and to serve You as if it were the very first day; without any weakness of the days that have passed upon me; and may I merit to renew the service of Hashem in great holiness always as if it were the first time. And may You adorn our faith always with new ornaments — as the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is always adorned with new fruits; and may the fruit of knowledge and faith grow and multiply for us always more and more. Master of the Universe — Master of the Universe — You know my heart; You know me from beginning to end; You know my shame and my disgrace and my humiliation — all my tormentors are before You. And I do not know any path or way to speak or to request. Have compassion upon me and have pity upon me and save me — and may You strengthen me to truly return to You from now. And through Your abundant mercies — may You forgive me for all the blemishes of speech; and may I merit to repair and to return to holiness all the letters of speech that fell through my many iniquities. And may I merit through the fasts to rectify my speech always; and may my speech in every matter of the world be always only for holy purposes. And may the verse be fulfilled: May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You — Hashem , my Rock and my Redeemer [ Psalms 19:15 ].

Guardian of the covenant and the lovingkindness [ shomer habris v'hachesed ] — have compassion upon me for the sake of Your Name; and grant me merit from now to guard the holy bris ; that I not blemish any blemish in the holy bris from now; and may I merit to sanctify myself with what is permitted to me — in the ultimate purity. And may You arouse the mercies of the true tzadikim who guard the bris — that they have compassion upon us and guard us and save us from the bris blemish; and may they draw us near to the Root of the Roots; until through their power we merit to completely guard the holy bris . Master of the Universe — have compassion upon me and upon all who are distant from You who need abundant mercies. Have compassion upon us for the sake of Your Name; for the sake of the true tzadikim who guard the bris ; and grant us merit from now to return in complete repentance before You; and may we merit to draw near to the true tzadikim always; and may they battle for us and guard us from the blemish of the bris ; and may they guard us and save us in all the matters of this world with great mercy from all the snares and traps and plots of the evil inclination. Please Hashem — act for the sake of Your Name; and may our iniquities not cause us to distance ourselves from them, G‑d forbid, through this. Rather may we merit to strengthen ourselves in complete faith always to believe in them always; to know and to believe in truth: that truly through their great da'as and their power they have the ability to guard the bris ; and that they guard and save and protect all who draw near to them. And may we merit through their power and their merit to recognize You and to draw near to You in truth; and may we merit to know and to recognize You also in this world. And as much as we draw nearer to You — may we merit to know each time more and more of Your G‑dliness and Your greatness and Your exaltedness and Your wonders; and may our longing and our yearning and our desire to know You grow and increase at every time and every moment. And therefore grant us merit not to rebel against the sufferings that we must accept upon ourselves as Your good will desires — and may we merit to draw upon us the light of the countenance of Your good will always; and to draw all goodness to the world always. And may we merit through this to accept upon ourselves with joy and with a good heart all the sufferings and the hardships that we must accept — for the sake of Your Name; and not to rebel, G‑d forbid; but rather to go before You with the attribute of acceptance of suffering [ kabolas yisurin ]; and may we feel that all our sufferings are for our benefit and our good and for the correction of our souls. And therefore have compassion upon us and save us and grant us merit that we guard our mouth and our tongue from all manner of evil speech in the world — that there never go out from our mouths any speech of falsehood or lashon hara [evil tongue] or rechilus [tale-bearing] or mockery or flattery or nibul peh [vulgar speech] or any other speech that is prohibited to speak. Rather may we merit to use our mouths and tongues only for holy speech — for Torah and prayer and praises of Hashem and for speaking good of our fellow; and may our speech be always truthful and righteous. And may You help us to open our mouths in holiness and purity at every time — and may we have the strength and power and vitality to put all our power and strength into the words of prayer and into all our holy speech; and may we merit that through our holy speech the gates of prayer be opened for us always. And may You save us from all manner of blemished speech — from speech of falsehood and slander; and may You fix our speech and our prayers in great holiness; so that all our speech be for the sake of Heaven and for the sake of Your Name. As it is written: Set a guard, Hashem , over my mouth — keep watch over the door of my lips [ Psalms 141:3 ]. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You — Hashem , my Rock and my Redeemer [ Psalms 19:15 ]. Master of the Universe — full of mercy; have compassion upon us and guard us and save us from all manner of blemished speech in the world. My G‑d — guard my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceit . Set a guard, Hashem , over my mouth — keep watch over the door of my lips [ Psalms 141:3 ]. Do not lead my heart toward an evil thing — to practice deeds in wickedness with men who work iniquity; and may I not eat of their delicacies [ Psalms 141:4 ]. Let the righteous man strike me in lovingkindness and reprove me; let not the oil of the wicked anoint my head — for my prayer is yet against their evils [ Psalms 141:5 ]. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You — Hashem , my Rock and my Redeemer [ Psalms 19:15 ].
Who does great things past searching out and wondrous things past numbering [ Job 9:10 ]. Master of all; higher than all and there is none higher than You; filling all worlds and surrounding all worlds; and higher than all worlds and beneath all worlds and within all worlds. For You created the entire world in Your power and Your greatness; and You created the vacant space [ chalal hapanui ] — the space that was created through the contraction [ tzimtzum ]; and You spread out all the worlds in it. And although the supernal faith [ emunah ila'ah ] teaches us that the vacant space too is filled with Your G‑dliness — nonetheless, since the intellect of the created beings cannot receive this: therefore You hid Yourself there in the aspect of the vacant space — so that the created beings could exist. And from here come all the questions and investigations [ chakiros v'kushyos ] in the world. But we who have received the Torah from Sinai — know and believe with complete faith: that in truth You are found in the vacant space as well; and that everything is full of Your G‑dliness; and there is no place void of You [ leis atar panui minak ]. Please Hashem — grant me merit to complete faith; and guard me and save me from all these investigations and questions entirely; for You know our weakness and the smallness of our understanding from the multitude of our very many and immense iniquities; until it is impossible for us to contemplate and to attain any investigation in the world at all; for any investigation causes us only harm. And the truth of the matter is that these investigations have no place at all in us — and we should not contemplate them at all; and for us the command of complete faith is already sufficient. And it is not within our power at all to enter and to immerse ourselves in these investigations. Therefore have compassion and pity upon us through Your great mercies — and guard us and save us from all the investigations and questions. And may our heart be upright and complete and wholesome before You always — and may we never become entangled, G‑d forbid, in any investigation or question whatsoever in the world. And may You give us complete and simple faith at every time and every hour; in such a manner that we merit to live and to always exist before You with simple complete faith without any doubts whatsoever. As it is written: The upright shall dwell in Your presence [ Psalms 140:14 ] — that we merit in the merit of our uprightness and our wholeness to dwell before You forever. And in the merit of our faith — may we merit to silence all the questions; for silence [ shetikah ] is a fence to wisdom [ seyag l'chochmah ]. Master of the Universe — Master of the Universe — Master of the entire world. Teach me and instruct me how to arrange a beautiful and true prayer before You from this wondrous Torah that You granted us through Your abundant mercies; so that I merit to ask for all the matters and all the needs that I must ask for from before You. And may all that is arrayed in this wondrous Torah illuminate for me the paths that I must tread; and may I merit through this prayer to receive counsel and holy da'as ; and may the truly holy counsels hidden in the Torah novellae of the true tzadikim illuminate upon me always. And therefore help us through Your abundant mercies — that we merit to feel and to find Your holy counsels hidden in their holy Torah novellae; and grant me merit to pray for them a beautiful and well-ordered prayer; and to accomplish through prayer all the tikkunim that need to be accomplished through prayer. And may their holy Torah novellae spread throughout the whole world; and may every person merit to be stirred by them toward Your service. Please Hashem — Compassionate One full of mercy; have compassion upon me for the sake of Your Name; look upon us and answer us in the time of trouble; for to You, Hashem , belongs the salvation; in You is our hope, O G‑d of forgiveness. Turn to me and be gracious to me — for I am solitary and poor [ Psalms 25:16 ]. Have compassion upon me — and give me life; and strengthen me and uphold me in holiness; and may I merit to complete repentance before You in truth. And through this complete repentance may I merit to receive counsel from the holy Torah at every time and every hour; and may the evil of strife and dispute be far from me always. And may my speech be always in holiness and purity — and may my words of Torah be accepted favorably before You. And may I merit to silence all the questions through the wholeness of my faith and through the silence of Moshe Rabbainu — may he rest in peace. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You — Hashem , my Rock and my Redeemer [ Psalms 19:15 ]. And have compassion upon me and guard me and save me always — that I not look at and not gaze into any book that speaks of investigations; and not speak with any person from the investigators of the earth who have fallen into these investigations drawn from the vacant space. For it is impossible for me at all to enter among them — for any such entry causes me only harm and weakness and confusion and bewilderment; until I fall, G‑d forbid, from all my levels. And You in Your great mercies — have compassion upon me; and guard me and save me always from these. And may You send us true tzadikim of very, very exalted stature — who are in the aspect of Moshe Rabbainu, may he rest in peace; who have the power to enter into these investigations and to shatter them and to answer all the questions; and who have the power to silence all the questions with the power of complete faith and the aspect of silence. And may they also guide us in the path of simple complete faith — and may the investigations never harm us; and may we merit through them to complete our prayer before You in completeness and in true faith.

And save us through Your abundant mercies from dispute and quarrel and from multiplying words [ meribbuy d'varim ] — rather may we merit to condense our words in gradation and in measure as Your good will desires in truth. Have compassion and be gracious to us and fill our requests with mercy — and may we merit to truly guard our speech: to speak only what is necessary and no more; and to condense our words always. And may we know at every time what to say and what not to say; and may we merit to silence all the questions through our silence and our wholeness of faith. And may we merit to cleave to Moshe Rabbainu through silence — to practice the discipline of silence; as our sages of blessed memory said: silence is a fence to wisdom. And may we merit always through the holy silence to attain great holy counsel. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You — Hashem , my Rock and my Redeemer [ Psalms 19:15 ]. And grant me merit to be absorbed within the soul of Moshe Rabbainu, may he rest in peace — who is in the aspect of silence. And may I merit to accustom myself to silence; to fulfill the words of our sages of blessed memory who said: silence is a fence to wisdom. And through this great holy silence may I merit to receive counsel from the holy Torah always — and to shatter all the questions through the silence; and to merit to great and holy da'as ; and to merit through the silence to great and true prayer before You. And through all this may I merit to complete faith in truth — and to repent before You in complete repentance in truth from now and forever. G‑d of the spirits of all flesh [ Numbers 16:22 ] — One, Unique and Unified; Who was, Who is and Who shall be. Grant me merit through Your abundant mercies to be absorbed within Your unity in truth. Please full of mercy — grant me merit and help me and save me; that I merit to overcome with all my strength and might; and to strengthen myself greatly in complete faith at every time and every hour and every moment; so as not to stumble in any investigation or question at all even for a moment. And grant me merit through this to the spirit of holy life [ ruach chayyim dikdushah ] — to draw upon me at every time and every moment the spirit of holy life; and may the spirit of holy life hover over me always at every time and every moment without any interruption at all. And may I merit to truly pray before You with all my strength — and may I merit through the prayer to sweeten all the judgments; and to merit to a good, long and true life. Teach me to do Your will for You are my G‑d — may Your good spirit lead me on level ground [ Psalms 143:10 ]. Please awesome holy One — save me from trouble; and may You be with me always at every time; and help me and save me at every time that You send sufferings upon me, G‑d forbid, according to Your judgments and Your good ways — that You give me strength and power and great faith to accept all the sufferings with love for the sake of Your Name; and not to rebel against them at all; and to feel that all my sufferings are for my benefit and my good. And may I merit to receive all the sufferings as atonements for my sins — and to feel clearly that they are the mercy of Your great mercies. And may I merit to strengthen myself at every time greatly in complete faith — and to truly pray before You with all my strength in great holiness and purity. And may You pour upon me the spirit of holy life always — without any interruption at all; and may I merit always to great and wondrous prayer before You in truth. Hear my prayer, Hashem — give ear to my supplications; answer me in Your faithfulness and Your righteousness [ Psalms 143:1 ]. Please full of mercy — You know the afflictions of my heart and my pain; You know the afflictions of my soul; You know all that I have blemished with my eyes greatly in the physical and the spiritual — in the eyes of flesh and in the eyes of the mind; and through the blemish of my eyes I have blemished my prayer greatly. And now I have come before You — please have compassion upon my eyes in great compassion; and save me from every kind of evil gazing; and grant me merit to sanctify my eyes in great holiness; and to guard my eyes from every evil gazing; and may I merit to draw upon me the sanctity of holy sight in great holiness; and may my sight be always with great holiness and purity; and may I merit through the holiness of sight to great holy speech — to truly pray before You with all my strength with great holiness. And may I merit to the prayer [ tefilah bishleimus ] — to complete prayer in full completeness in truth. Good and doing good to all; good and doing good always; good and doing good to the evil and to the good; good and doing good in truth — do good in Your will to one who is far from goodness as I am; who rebelled against Your goodness with hands raised, deliberately and inadvertently, under compulsion and willingly; and stumbled and fell greatly, greatly, below below. And now I have come before You — please have compassion and pity upon me with Your great compassion; and may You help me and save me from now that I merit to the beauty of speech [ yofi hadibbur ] in great holiness and purity. And may I merit that my speech be always in great holiness and purity — to express before You always in great holiness all the praise and beauty of the holy speech; and may I merit to go out from the straits of the throat [ meitzar hagaron ] — that from there comes forth my speech in holiness and purity without any impediment. And may I merit to the beauty of holy speech [ yofi hadibbur dikdushah ] in truth; and may I merit to holy and pure and clear and beautiful speech at all times.
And therefore have compassion upon us and save us — that we merit to prayer in completeness [ tefilah bishleimus ]; and may we merit to make of all the prayer one [ la'asos echad mikol hat'filah ] — and may all our prayers and supplications and requests be included together in the ultimate unity; in such a manner that they be accepted as one before You; and may we merit that through our prayer all the rectifications be accomplished that need to be accomplished through prayer. And may we not stop praying even when we hear the beauty of the speech of holy prayer — for even though we now hear the beauty of the words of prayer and the wondrous sweetness of the words of prayer: even so may we not stop from our prayer; rather may we continue and strengthen ourselves to go and to pray with all our might always. And may we merit to pray before You with true self-sacrifice and a complete heart. Master of the Universe — full of goodness and lovingkindness; full of very great mercies: You have made known to us through Your abundant mercies that even one who merits to this level to hear the beauty of the speech of holy prayer — until the speech does not allow him to stop at all even for a moment: even so he must not exempt himself by claiming compulsion and saying: since the speech does not release me and does not allow me to stop from the prayer — therefore let this be counted for me as if I myself had prayed. For we do not want to exempt ourselves with the claim of compulsion — since thereby it would be counted as if we had acted; for we do not want to exempt ourselves with any impediment; rather we want to truly pray before You with all our strength and with true self-sacrifice. And therefore we have come before You — to beg and to plead that You help us to truly pray before You with all our strength and with true self-sacrifice; and may we merit through this to great and holy speech; to truly pray before You with all our strength in great holiness. And therefore have come before You — full of mercy; Master of all the deeds; Lord of all the souls: that You be filled with compassion upon the souls of Israel; and in particular upon my poor and destitute soul wretched through my evil deeds; which is very greatly afflicted from the beginning of its life until today. And upon the soul of my father and mother and the souls of my sons and daughters and my wife and my brothers and companions and the souls of all close to me: in the physical and in the spiritual; all of them have great need of very great mercy always. Have compassion upon us all — and may You pour upon us the holy spirit of life [ ruach chayyim dikdushah ] always; and may we merit to strengthen ourselves in great holiness in Your service always; to pray before You in completeness with all our strength. And may we merit that You reveal to us the beauty of holy speech — to pray before You and to speak before You in great holiness; until our prayer be like the prayer of Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov who began to reveal Your G‑dliness in the world; and like the prayer of Moshe and David and all the prophets and holy men. Compassionate One full of mercy — have compassion upon my soul and my spirit and my neshamah ; for You alone know the immensity of the compassion needed upon them these many years. May Your innards stir and Your mercies grow warm upon my very blemished soul — and may You visit it now with Your great compassion; and may You pour upon it the holy spirit of life at every time and every moment; and may I merit through the holy spirit of life to true and complete prayer before You in holiness. And have compassion through Your abundant mercies upon the true tzadikim who engage in the repair of the holy field [ tikkun hasadeh hakodesh ] who are called the masters of the field [ ba'alei hasadeh ]; and upon all who go forth from their loins and upon all who are dependent upon them; and guard them and save them from all their enemies and from all their needs; and give them and us the power to pray for them with complete faith and in a beautiful manner; and may their Torah spread throughout the world always; and may all be stirred through them to Your service. Full of mercy — Who desires to do good for all Your creatures. Have compassion upon us as long as our soul is within us; and enliven us and grant us merit and help us and save us with Your true salvation; as You know all the salvations that we need. Have compassion upon us and help us and save us; and grant us merit from now to visit [ lifkod ] the barren women through our holy speech [ al yedei diburaynu kadoshim ]; until we merit through our holy speech to draw upon ourselves the holy points for holy speech [ nekudos kedoshos l'dibbur hakodesh ]; and may we merit to bring speech forth from the straits of the throat [ meitzar hagaron ] with great holiness and purity; and may we merit to truly beautiful and holy speech; and may all the salvations that we need come to us speedily through the power of holy speech. And may we merit to great holy speech that has the power to truly visit the barren — and may Your people Israel multiply greatly; and may there be no barren man or woman among us. My heart overflows with a good word — I speak my works to the King; my tongue is the pen of a skillful scribe [ Psalms 45:2 ]. Hear my prayer, Hashem , give ear to my supplications; answer me in Your faithfulness and Your righteousness [ Psalms 143:1 ]. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You — Hashem , my Rock and my Redeemer [ Psalms 19:15 ].
