טז אֲדָר
יְהִי רָצוֹן מִלְּפָנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתֵינוּ, שֶׁתְּרַחֵם עָלֵינוּ וְתַעַזְרֵנוּ שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה לַעֲסֹק בְּתוֹרָתְךָ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה תָּמִיד יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה, לֹא יָמוּשׁ סֵפֶר הַתּוֹרָה הַזֶּה מִפִּינוּ וּמִפִּי זַרְעֵנוּ עַד עוֹלָם. וְנִזְכֶּה לְהָבִין וּלְהַשְׂכִּיל אֶת כָּל דִּבְרֵי תוֹרָתֶךָ, לְהָבִין כָּל דִּבְרֵי הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה עַל בּוּרְיָן וַאֲמִתָּתָן בִּמְהִירוּת גָּדוֹל. וְנִזְכֶּה לְהָבִין דָּבָר מִתּוֹךְ דָּבָר, וּלְחַדֵּשׁ תָּמִיד חִדּוּשִׁים אֲמִתִּיִּים בְּתוֹרָתְךָ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה, חִדּוּשִׁים שֶׁיִּהְיוּ לְךָ לְנַחַת וּלְרָצוֹן לִפְנֵי כִסֵּא כְבוֹדֶךָ. וּתְזַכֵּנוּ עַל־יְדֵי עֵסֶק הַתּוֹרָה, שֶׁנִּזְכֶּה עַל־יְדֵי־זֶה לִתְשׁוּבָה שְׁלֵמָה בֶּאֱמֶת, עַל כָּל חֲטָאֵינוּ וַעֲוֹנוֹתֵינוּ וּפְשָׁעֵינוּ, שֶׁחָטָאנוּ וְשֶׁעָוִינוּ וְשֶׁפָּשַׁעְנוּ לְפָנֶיךָ מִיּוֹם הֱיוֹתֵינוּ עַל הָאֲדָמָה עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה, וְהַמָּאוֹר שֶׁבַּתּוֹרָה יַחֲזִירֵנוּ לְמוּטַב בֶּאֱמֶת לַאֲמִתּוֹ. וְנִזְכֶּה עַל־יְדֵי עֵסֶק הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה, לְבָרֵר וּלְלַקֵּט וּלְהַעֲלוֹת כָּל נִיצוֹצוֹת הַקְּדוֹשִׁים וְכָל הַצֵּרוּפִים מִכְּלָלִיּוּת כָּל הָעוֹלָמוֹת שֶׁנָּפְלוּ עַל־יָדֵינוּ בֵּין הַקְּלִפּוֹת, וְנִתְפַּזְּרוּ לְמָקוֹם שֶׁנִּתְפַּזְּרוּ, וְנָפְלוּ לְמָקוֹם שֶׁנָּפְלוּ:

אָנָּא יְהֹוָה, מָלֵא רַחֲמִים, חוֹשֵׁב מַחֲשָׁבוֹת לְבַל יִדַּח מִמְּךָ נִדָּח. אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ כִּי אִי אֶפְשַׁר לָנוּ לְבָרְרָם וּלְהַעֲלוֹתָם בְּעַצְמֵנוּ, רַחֲמֶיךָ רַבִּים יְהֹוָה, רַחֲמֶיךָ רַבִּים מְאֹד, רַחֵם עָלֵינוּ וְעַל הַנִּיצוֹצוֹת הַקְּדוֹשׁוֹת וְעַל הָאוֹתִיּוֹת הַקְּדוֹשִׁים הַמְפֻזָּרִים וּמְפֹרָדִים בֵּין הַגּוֹיִם וְהַקְּלִפּוֹת. וְעָזְרֵנוּ לָשׁוּב בִּתְשׁוּבָה שְׁלֵמָה לְפָנֶיךָ בֶּאֱמֶת. וּתְמַהֵר וְתָחִישׁ לְבָרֵר וּלְלַקֵּט וְלִגְאֹל אֶת כָּל הַנִּיצוֹצוֹת הַקְּדוֹשׁוֹת מִן הַגָּלוּת, וּתְשִׁיבֵם לִמְקוֹמָם בְּשָׁלוֹם. וְתַחֲזֹר וְתַשְׁלִים פְּגָם כָּל הָעוֹלָמוֹת כֻּלָּם, וְכָל הַשֵּׁמוֹת הַקְּדוֹשִׁים שֶׁפָּגַמְנוּ בַּעֲוֹנוֹתֵינוּ, וְיָשִׁיב הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת נִדָּחָיו, וְתַחֲזֹר וּתְקַבְּצֵם בִּקְדֻשָּׁה שֵׁנִית. וִיקֻיַּם מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, וְשָׁב יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת שְׁבוּתְךָ וְרִחֲמֶךָ וְשָׁב וְקִבֶּצְךָ מִכָּל הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר הֱפִיצְךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ שָׁמָּה. אִם יִהְיֶה נִדַּחֲךָ בִּקְצֵה הַשָּׁמָיִם מִשָּׁם יְקַבֶּצְךָ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וּמִשָּׁם יִקָּחֶךָ. וְתַעֲלֶה אֶת הַשְּׁכִינָה מִגָּלוּתָהּ וּתְקִימָהּ מֵעֲפָרָהּ. וְתַשְׁלִים אֶת הַדַּעַת הַקָּדוֹשׁ, וְתַמְשִׁיךְ דַּעַת דִּקְדֻשָּׁה וְרַחֲמִים גְּדוֹלִים בָּעוֹלָם, וּתְבַטֵּל כַּעַס וְאַכְזָרִיּוּת מִן הָעוֹלָם, וִיקֻיַּם מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, לֹא יָרֵעוּ וְלֹא יַשְׁחִיתוּ בְּכָל הַר קָדְשִׁי, כִּי מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ דֵּעָה אֶת יְהֹוָה כַּמַּיִם לַיָּם מְכַסִּים. וּבְרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים תְּרַחֵם עָלֵינוּ וְתִתְפַּלֵּל בְּעַצְמְךָ עָלֵינוּ, וּתְעוֹרֵר בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הַפְּשׁוּטִים אֶת רַחֲמֶיךָ הַגְּדוֹלִים, רַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים, וִיקֻיַּם מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, וּבְרַחֲמִים גְּדוֹלִים אֲקַבְּצֵךְ, כִּי אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, כִּי אֵין מִי שֶׁיַּעֲמֹד בַּעֲדֵנוּ שֶׁיּוּכַל לְעוֹרֵר רַחֲמִים עָלֵינוּ בָּעֵת הַזֹּאת, אֲשֶׁר נִתְרַחַקְנוּ מִמְּךָ מְאֹד כְּמוֹ שֶׁנִּתְרַחַקְנוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ, וְאֵין מִי שֶׁיֵּדַע עַכְשָׁיו לְעוֹרֵר רַחֲמִים עָלֵינוּ כִּי אִם אַתָּה לְבַד. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ, הִתְפַּלֵּל נָא בַּעֲדֵנוּ, וְנִחְיֶה וְלֹא נָמוּת וְהָאֲדָמָה לֹא תֵשָׁם. וִיקֻיַּם מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, וְיִתְפַּלֵּל בַּעֲדוֹ תָמִיד כָּל הַיּוֹם יְבָרֲכֶנְהוּ. וּתְעוֹרֵר בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הַפְּשׁוּטִים אֶת רַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים, רַחֲמֶיךָ הַגְּדוֹלִים, רַחֲמִים גְּדוֹלִים וַעֲצוּמִים כָּל־כָּךְ, שֶׁיֵּשׁ לָהֶם כֹּחַ לְרַחֵם וּלְקַרֵב אֲפִלּוּ אוֹתִי אֵלֶיךָ, רַחֲמִים שֶׁאֵין בָּהֶם שׁוּם אֲחִיזַת דִּין כְּלָל, כִּי אֵין לָנוּ עַל מִי לְהִשָּׁעֵן כִּי אִם עַל אָבִינוּ שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם. חוּס וְחָנֵּנוּ וְרַחֵם עָלֵינוּ וְהוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ מְהֵרָה לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ. רַחֲמֶיךָ רַבִּים יְהֹוָה כְּמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ חַיֵּנִי. רַחוּם וְחַנּוּן יְהֹוָה אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב חָסֶד. טוֹב יְהֹוָה לַכֹּל וְרַחֲמָיו עַל כָּל מַעֲשָׂיו. כְּחַסְדְּךָ חַיֵּנִי וְאֶשְׁמְרָה עֵדוּת פִּיךָ. חַסְדְּךָ יְהֹוָה מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵנִי. וְקַיֵּם לָנוּ מִקְרָא שֶׁכָּתוּב, וַהֲבִיאוֹתִים אֶל הַר קָדְשִׁי וְשִׂמַּחְתִּים בְּבֵית תְּפִלָּתִי עוֹלוֹתֵיהֶם וְזִבְחֵיהֶם לְרָצוֹן עַל מִזְבְּחִי, כִּי בֵיתִי בֵּית תְּפִלָּה יִקָּרֵא לְכָל הָעַמִּים. יִהְיוּ לְרָצוֹן אִמְרִי פִי וְהֶגְיוֹן לִבִּי לְפָנֶיךָ יְהֹוָה צוּרִי וְגֹאֲלִי:
Draw me after You — let us run [Song of Songs 1:4]. Your great and holy honor — awake and rouse Yourself. Master of the Universe — King of glory; Whose glory fills all the earth: through Your great lovingkindness You gave us true tzadikim in every generation; with whom Your great and holy glory dwells. And through Your abundant mercies You have made known to us that no generation is orphaned [ein dor yasom]. And even in these generations You have wondrously bestowed Your lovingkindness upon us and given us great and awesome true tzadikim — holy and awesome is their name; with whom all the holy honor dwells. For they are the aspect of the Tabernacle of Your glory [mishkan kevodecha] — upon whom the holiness of the Shechinah of Your G‑dliness is drawn and dwells always. For they are truly humble ones who make themselves like dust; upon whom the entire creation with all its particulars — everything absolutely — stands; and everything is drawn from them. For they are the tzadikim who are the foundations of the world [tzadikei yesodei olam] who are the foundation of all creation; and all need to be drawn toward them to receive life-force and sustenance from them. For upon them everything stands; and all Israel are all branches from them; and are drawn toward them and receive all their life-force and abundance from them; for they give life to all. And they have a great and awesome drawing power [koach hamoshech] — to draw G‑dliness toward themselves and to draw all people of the world toward themselves; to bring them all close to You, blessed forever. Master of the Universe — Master of the Universe — Hashem G‑d of truth. You know these true tzadikim who have this power. You know their greatness and their might and their splendor and their eternal power. And the immensity of their power to draw to themselves and to their holy Torah and their ways and their wondrous counsels — the entire world. And how many good things would have grown from this forever; for the rectification of all the worlds and the complete redemption that is destined to come — all of it is dependent upon this; for the coming of Mashiach depends upon drawing close to the tzadikim. But You know, Master of the entire world — the great immensity and multitude of the compelling forces [kochos hamakri'achim] that repel from drawing close to the tzadikim with all their power; for the compelling force [koach hamakri'ach] constantly strengthens at every time to interrupt and to distance from the tzadikim.
