משיבת נפש - Meshivas Nefesh
צְרִיכִין עז וְתַעֲצוּמוֹת וְהִתְחַזְּקוּת עָצוּם מְאד בְּזֶה הָעוֹלָם מִסְפַּר יְמֵי חַיֵּי הֶבְלוֹ, לַעֲמד כְּנֶגֶד כָּל הַדְּחִיּוֹת וְכוּ, שֶׁהַבַּעַל דָּבָר רוֹצֶה לְהַדִּיחוֹ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, בְּכָל עֵת. וְהָעִקָּר עַל יְדֵי הַסְּבָרוֹת שֶׁקֶר שֶׁלּוֹ עַל יְדֵי שֶׁמְּצַיֵּר הָאוֹר לְהֵפֶךְ חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, וְעַל יְדֵי זֶה מַסִּיתוֹ לִדְבַר עֲבֵרָה חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, וְעוֹשֶׂה אֶצְלוֹ מֵאִסּוּר הֶתֵּר וּמֵעֲבֵרָה מִצְוָה. וְאַחַר כָּךְ כְּשֶׁנִּכְשַׁל כְּבָר הוּא בָּא עוֹד הַפַּעַם וּמִתְלַבֵּשׁ עַצְמוֹ בְּמִצְווֹת וְרוֹצֶה לְהַפִּיל אֶת הָאָדָם וְלִדְחוֹתוֹ לְגַמְרֵי חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, וְכָל זֶה וְכַיּוֹצֵא בּוֹ נִמְשָׁךְ מֵהַקְּלִפָּה וְהַסִּטְרָא אַחֲרָא, וְהָעִקָּר מִבְּחִינַת קְלִפַּת בִּלְעָם שֶׁרוֹצֶה לְצַיֵּר אוֹר הַתּוֹרָה לְהֵפֶךְ מִן הָאֱמֶת. וְעַל כֵּן צְרִיכִין עז וְהִתְחַזְּקוּת עָצוּם נֶגְדּוֹ בְּלִי שִׁעוּר, וְעַל זֶה נֶאֱמַר: "אַשְׁרֵי אָדָם עז לוֹ בָּךְ מְסִלּוֹת" וְכוּ, רָאשֵׁי תֵּבוֹת בִּלְעָ"ם כַּמְבאָר בִּפְנִים (הִלְכוֹת יֵין נֶסֶךְ הֲלָכָה ד אוֹת כ"ח בְּסוֹפוֹ)
One needs great strength, courage and fortitude in this world — in the numbered days of his vain life — to stand against all the pressures with which the adversarial force seeks to push him, G-d forbid, at every time. Primarily through his false reasonings — by which he depicts the light in reverse, G-d forbid — he incites toward sin and makes the forbidden into permitted and the transgression into a commandment. And afterward when he has already stumbled, he comes again and clothes himself in the appearance of commandments and seeks to bring the person down and push him away entirely, G-d forbid. All of this stems from the k'lipah of Bilam that seeks to portray the light of Torah in opposition to truth. Therefore great strength and courage is required...
