Regarding what is alluded in the commandment of skin afflictions — great strengthening for a person — that sometimes specifically when one reaches the ultimate descent, one then merits to receive purity and rectification for the soul and to return in teshuvah. This is the aspect of: a spot like a bean that is impure, but if it has spread over all — it is pure. See Fear, Ois 87.
