Those who draw close to the true Tzadik who is in the aspect of zaken d'k'dushah [holy elder] — they are careful never to fall, G-d forbid, into old age [spiritual stagnation]. However things pass over a person each day, they believe that each single day is a completely new matter — for Hashem, may He be blessed, renews the act of Creation each day always, and certainly there is no day that does not have its good — only it has a fence around it from outside. And they believe in His great chesed that is never interrupted — until they draw new mercies into the world each day. And through this they merit to add each day more light of holiness and knowledge, through which the revelation of will shines more and more each day. (Halachos of Morning Blessings, Halacha 5, Ois 83) In the very low and very distant places from Hashem, may He be blessed — there specifically is clothed a very lofty vitality in the aspect of the secrets of Torah [sismray Torah]. Therefore one who has fallen greatly, G-d forbid, must know that in his very place specifically he can draw close to Hashem more — for there specifically is hidden a very lofty vitality. And when he merits to return to Hashem, a high Torah — namely, secrets of Torah — will be revealed specifically through him. (ibid.)
