Regarding the matter of how the essential wholeness of faith in the sages is to strengthen oneself to the degree of believing even regarding oneself — that through the great power of the righteousness of the true Tzadikim, he too will be lifted higher and higher. And for now, even the very drawing close itself — that he draws close to them and believes in them — is very good and precious. And the essential faith is in that which one does not understand with the intellect — and so too in this matter: even though according to his intellect and knowledge he is still very far from Hashem — even so one must believe with faith that certainly even his few good points are very precious before Hashem.
