This reader has a human interface, but every reader page also has static crawlable text. For any book, use /reader-plain/<book>/full.txt to search the complete work, or /reader-plain/<book>/<part>/<section>/index.txt for one section. This is sitewide and works for all reader teachings, not just this page.

T103 (Tinyana) PNC - Bi-She'as Tefillah — Only You and HaShem, No One Else Present

Pettek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan

1

עיוני: [T2:103א] כלל בתפילה: אם עוד מרגיש את הזולת בחדר — אינו טוב. צריך לצייר בדעתו "אין שם אלא אני וה' לבד."

1

Beginner: **Bi-she'as ha-tefillah, kol zman she-ha-adam shoime'a oid az eizeh adam — de-haynu she-shoime'a u-margish, she-omeid oid adam echad bi-she'as tefilaso — hu loi toiv.** Bad practical rule: *as long as a man is davening and still feels that someone else is in the room with him*, *zeh loi toiv*. **Ki tzarich kol adam bi-she'as tefilaso, she-yetzayer be-da'aso, she-ein sham ela ani ve-HaShem yisbarach le-vad.** Each man, *be-she'as tefilaso*, must *paint in his da'as that there is no-one in the place except him and HaShem yisbarach, alone*. Intermediate: **Klal**: *be-she'as tefillah, kol zman she-margish nochechus ha-zulas — loi toiv*. **Tzarich le-tza-yer be-da'as: "ein sham ela ani ve-HaShem yisbarach le-vad."**

2

2

Beginner: **Ve-cross-ref le-ma'amar Abba Shaul** (לק"מ א:נה) — *sham mevu'ar bittul gadol yoter bi-she'as ha-tefillah, she-mechayev ha-adam le-vatel atzmoi kol kach bi-she'as tefilaso ad she-loi yargish afilu es atzmoi klal bi-she'as tefilaso, rak es HaShem yisbarach le-vadoi*. The cross-reference *raises* the bar: not only must the davener *not feel others* — *he must not feel himself either*. *Ki az bi-she'as ha-tefillah, ha-adam oimed be-Heichal ha-Melech*. **"Mi hu?"** — *ha-loi yeshuso nis-bateil, ve-ein kan ela ha-Melech be-atzmoi*. **Two stages of clearing the room**: first the others, then yourself — and at the end *ein kan ela ha-Melech be-atzmoi*. Intermediate: **Cross-ref** *לק"מ א:נה* (ma'amar Abba Shaul — Pa'am achas ratzti achar tzvi): *bittul gadol yoter* — *ad she-loi yargish afilu es atzmoi klal bi-she'as tefillah, rak es HaShem yisbarach le-vadoi*; *az ha-adam oimed be-Heichal ha-Melech*. **"Mi hu? Yeshuso nis-bateil, ein kan ela ha-Melech be-atzmoi."** Shtei matzavim: (a) bittul ha-zulas; (b) bittul atzmoi.
