This reader has a human interface, but every reader page also has static crawlable text. For any book, use /reader-plain/<book>/full.txt to search the complete work, or /reader-plain/<book>/<part>/<section>/index.txt for one section. This is sitewide and works for all reader teachings, not just this page.

T98 (Tinyana) PNC - Speak Anyway — "Nafshi Yatza'ah be-Dabro" Even When the Heart Is Closed

Pettek Nanach Running Commentary on Likutey Moharan

1

עיוני: [T2:98א] הדיבור = כח לעורר, גם בלי לב. שה"ש ה:ו "נפשי יצאה בדברו" = הדיבור עצמו הוא יציאת הנפש.

Beginner: **Oid amar le-inyan his-chazkus be-hisbodedus u-techinois u-vakashois — ki ha-dibbur yesh lo koach gadol le-oreir es ha-adam, af-al-pi she-nidmeh la-adam she-ein lo lev.** Even when a person *feels he has no leiv* — *af-al-pi-chein, ke-she-yedabber harbeih divrei his'oreirus u-techinois u-vakashois ve-ka-yotzei* — **zehu be-atzmoi she-medabber, hu bechinas his-gallus his'oreirus libo ve-nafsho le-HaShem yisbarach**. *The very act of speaking is the revelation of the awakening of his lev and nefesh*. **Bechinas "nafshi yatza'ah be-dabroi"** (Shir ha-Shirim 5:6): *her soul went out at His speaking* — *ha-dibbur be-atzmoi hu his-gallus ha-nefesh ve-ha-leiv*. The lev is not a *prerequisite* for the dibbur; the dibbur *is* the *yetzi'as ha-nefesh.* Intermediate: **Yesoid**: ha-dibbur yesh lo *koach gadol le-oreir es ha-adam*, **afilu k'she-nidmeh she-ein lo lev**. Klal: *ha-dibbur atzmoi hu his-gallus his'oreirus ha-leiv ve-ha-nefesh*. **שה"ש ה:ו "נַפְשִׁי יָצְאָה בְדַבְּרוֹ"** = *ha-dibbur hu yetzi'as ha-nefesh*. **Ha-leiv eino tnai mukdam la-dibbur — ha-dibbur hu ha-his-gallus ha-leiv**.

עיוני: [T2:98ב] לדבר אף בלא לב — סופו שיבוא להתעוררות גדולה. "הדיבור בעצמו יש לו כח גדול."

Beginner: **Push through the closed lev — the heart catches up.** **U-le-fa'mim al-yedei she-yedabber harbeih, af-al-pi she-yih'yeh be-loi lev klal, af-al-pi-chein yavoi achar kach al-yedei zeh le-his'oreirus gadol be-lev va-nefesh.** Through *speaking a lot* — even *be-loi lev klal* — *afterwards*, through the very act, *yavoi le-his'oreirus gadol*. **Ve-ha-kelal — ki ha-dibbur be-atzmoi yesh lo koach gadol.** *The dibbur itself has great power* — even when nothing seems to be moving. **Practical kapsulah for the Yid who picks up this sefer at a dry moment**: *do not wait to feel something before speaking. Begin to speak. Speak for a long time. Even if it is wood. The very wood, in time, catches fire — be-atzmoi.* Intermediate: **Mehalech ma'asi**: gam k'she-medabber *be-loi lev klal* → *achar kach yavoi le-his'oreirus gadol be-lev va-nefesh*. **Ha-klal**: ha-dibbur be-atzmoi yesh lo *koach gadol*. **Mes'kanah**: *al tichkeh le-his'oreirus koidem ha-dibbur; ha-dibbur hu ha-mei-oreir es ha-leiv*.
