And the genizah was in the yeshivah. I entered the yeshivah and went to the genizah to throw the book in. But before I threw the book — I saw that the name of the book was "Hishtapchus HaNefesh" — "The Outpouring of the Soul."

And I was left without the book. But I heard that there is a chassidus in the world called "Breslov." So I — I was left without the book. But I continued to do hisbodedus. And I prayed to the Holy One Blessed Be He that He have compassion on me — as He had begun to help me and I found this book — and I know what, what, what — what, what, what, what this worked upon me. So I asked from the Holy One Blessed Be He that He send me Breslov books and Breslov Chassidim. (Saba laughs.)

I was in Teveria and had not left Teveria. I did not know — Tzfas was close to Teveria. And everyone travels to Meron — as in Elul, on Lag BaOmer. And I was poor — I had no money. [Who did not want to move from Meron?] Rebbe Yisroel Kardonner. [Ah, ah.] What did the Holy One Blessed Be He do? He sent him an illness on his hand — on one hand. And the pains were so great that in the natural order of things it was impossible to bear such pains. And he was not able to say Chatzos or to pray or to study. Rachmanus. So Rebbe Yisroel did not regard this as the world regards — as chance. Rather he — he knew with complete faith that this was from the Holy One Blessed Be He.
