And if we do not merit to establish our dwelling there because of the great obstacles each person has — at least let us merit to be there once in all the days of our lives — to walk there four amos at least. For this too is very good — as our Sages of blessed memory extolled greatly. And perhaps through walking there four amos — we will afterward merit to travel again to establish our dwelling there. And in any case — how could we not care to be once in our place of life — in our place of holiness — in the precious Land that the Holy One Blessed be He promised to our forefathers many times — and repeated the promise many very many times beyond measure — because of the greatness of His love for it. (And study our words about this elsewhere at length.) Through all of these — and more than these which it is impossible to explain here — I was strengthened through the massive obstacles more and more. And even so — my heart was still divided — leaning this way and that — without resolution. Because of very very many obstacles of the mind that were very strongly in my thoughts — and it is impossible to detail them.
