Afterward came Shabbas HaGadol. And Hashem Blessed be He was in our help — and we rejoiced greatly in Rabbi Tzvi's house — to which we entered after the morning meal which we had eaten at Rabbi Henich's house. And there at Rabbi Tzvi's house we greatly rejoiced with the joy of Shabbas HaGadol. And we all danced greatly with the help of Hashem Blessed be He. And this greatly strengthened me with the help of Hashem Blessed be He. And throughout all the time we had stood in Odessa — which was already two Shabbases — we had not merited to joy and dancing — until this Shabbas which was Shabbas HaGadol. And this was for me a sign and a great salvation. After Shabbas HaGadol — throughout that week — I was waiting to receive some letter or news from home about Rabbi Yehuda Eliezer — whether he would come or not. And I did not merit to receive an answer from them — even though in truth they had sent a letter which should have reached me immediately — for the post traveled in great haste from Breslov to Odessa. But the letter was delayed and did not arrive until Chol HaMoed Pesach — after Rabbi Yehuda Eliezer had already come to Odessa.
