וְשָׂכַרְנוּ חֲמוֹרִים לֵילֵךְ בְּיוֹם שֵׁנִי לִצְפַת, וְנִתְעַכְּבוּ עַד יוֹם שְׁלִישִׁי עַד עָרֶב בְּיוֹם שְׁלִישִׁי יָצָאנוּ מִבֵּית הַכְּנֶסֶת שֶׁל צִידוֹן, שֶׁעָמַדְנוּ שָׁם בַּחֶדֶר שֶׁיֵּשׁ שָׁם בִּשְׁבִיל אוֹרְחִים, וְנָשְׂאוּ הַנּוֹשְׂאִים כָּל הַחֲפָצִים שֶׁלָּנוּ עַד סוֹף הָעִיר וְשָׁם עָמְדוּ הַחֲמוֹרִים שֶׁלָּנוּ בְּתוֹךְ שְׁאָרֵי הַחֲמוֹרִים שֶׁל הַשַּׁיָּרָא שֶׁהֵם כְּמוֹ חֲמִשָּׁה-עָשָׂר חֲמוֹרִים, וְכֻלָּם גּוֹיִים, וּבְתוֹכָם הָיָה יְהוּדִי אֶחָד בַּעַל חֲמוֹר, וְזֶה הָיָה טוֹבָה גְּדוֹלָה לָנוּ וְעָמַדְנוּ בַּחוּץ עִם הַחֲפָצִים כַּמָּה שָׁעוֹת, עַד כִּי פָּנָה יוֹם שְׁלִישִׁי, וְלא יָצָאנוּ מִצִּידוֹן עַד אוֹר לְיוֹם רְבִיעִי כְּמוֹ שְׁתֵּי שָׁעוֹת בַּלַּיְלָה וְאָז בַּלַּיְלָה יָשַׁבְנוּ עַל הַחֲמוֹרִים, וְהָלַכְנוּ כָּל הַלַּיְלָה, עַד עֶרֶךְ שְׁתֵּי שָׁעוֹת עַל הַיּוֹם וּבְלַיְלָה זאת נִכְנַסְתִּי לִגְבוּל אֶרֶץ- יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּוַדַּאי, וְהָיָה לָנוּ שִׂמְחָה גְּדוֹלָה:
And immediately we received all the belongings into the boat. And Rabbi Yehuda Eliezer also came down into it. And we all returned to the city. And immediately the Arab porters came and grabbed our belongings from the boat — as was always their way — each one rushing to receive wages. But blessed be Hashem — we had no damage at all. And all of this was through Rabbi Aharon mentioned above — who knew how to speak with them and hire them properly and inform them where they needed to carry our belongings. Blessed be Hashem who arranged for me the man Rabbi Aharon mentioned above — who did kindness with me for nothing. Without him — I do not know what I would have done. And praised be G-d — he brought me in peace with all the belongings to my lodgings. Blessed be Hashem — all was peace.
