And I was already prepared to travel to him zichrono livracha here to Breslov. And I traveled immediately. And I arrived here at the onset of Wednesday close to Rosh Chodesh Nisan. And the following day after the prayer I entered to him zichrono livracha. And I spoke with him at length as was always his custom. And afterward I spoke with him about the awesome story mentioned above that he had told on the past Leil Shabbas Kodesh — as I had heard from Rabbi Naftali. And he corrected for me all the details of the matter of the memory — what each one gloried in. And he arranged the matter for me in order. And he told me that so it was each day of the seven days of the feast — that each day one of the Seven Beggars came and gave them a gift for their wedding, and so on. And he said he greatly longed to hear the conclusion — that is: what happened each day of the seven days of the feast. For so it was each day — that one of the Seven Beggars came, and so on. And also the end of the story that began with the King — and so on — mentioned above. (For this was his way: that he would speak of longing to hear and to know the matter that he himself needed to reveal.) And I was waiting and hoping that he would tell me the conclusion. But in the meantime his attendant came and said the hour had come for him to eat, and set his table. And we departed from him. Afterward I returned and again entered to him. And again I spoke with him at length. And he spoke with me at great length about the deficiencies that the entire world lacks greatly. For I had told him many matters from Berdichev — about the great wealthy men there who were filled with worries and suffering and deficiencies, and so on. And I then answered and said before him the verse [Ecclesiastes 3]: "He also set the world in their heart, such that man cannot find out the work that G-d has done from beginning to end" — as Rashi there explains it concerning deficiencies — and I completed the entire verse before him. And immediately upon my completing the verse — he answered and said: "Is that not our story?" And immediately he asked where we stood in the story. And I was very greatly startled and answered hurriedly: at the story of the second day. He answered and said: "The second day—" and told the entire story of the second day — which is the story of the Deaf One. And he concluded the story of the second day. And told no more at that time. And there were also some other men of our circle who merited to hear all of this. And one who heard these stories from his holy mouth — certainly saw the wonders of Hashem without measure. And even now, one who wishes to gaze at them with the eye of truth — can understand the greatness of the Creator Blessed be He and the greatness of the Tzadikim and the greatness of the holy Torah.
