א. מִי שֶׁאֵינוֹ יָכוֹל לִבְכּוֹת, יִסְתַּכֵּל עַל הָרָקִיעַ, כִּי הוּא גָּרַם בְּכִיָּה לַמַּיִם.

Someone who cannot cry should look at the sky, for it caused the water to cry .

ב. הַבְּכִיָּה מְבַטֵּל הִרְהוּרֵי זְנוּת. ג. סְגֻלָּה לְחוֹלֵי הַצַּוָּאר, שֶׁיִּבְכֶּה עַל חֻרְבַּן הַבֵּית-הַמִּקְדָּשׁ.

Someone who cannot cry should look at the sky, for it caused the water to cry . Crying annuls promiscuous thoughts. A segulah for healing sicknesses of the neck is to cry over the destruction of the Temple.
