And behold — the beginning of the flickering of the salvation — that his holy legacy should endure forever and his light never be extinguished — was through Hashem Blessed be He strengthening my mind to engage in the printing of the Tinyanna. And behold — the multitude of obstacles to this — no amount of pages would suffice to tell. For I did not have even a single coin. And most of our anshei sh'lomaynu were poor. And they were scattered and spread across many towns. And to travel to them to collect donations — it was likely that the expense and effort would exceed the gain. In particular since I was in no way able to travel myself — because of several obstacles. And to send another person — he would accomplish nothing whatsoever. And above all these and such — the obstacles stood before me like iron walls and gates of bronze — literally — and more and more. And I did not know the way of how to merit to print his holy books now. But since Rabbainu zichrono livracha had already greatly greatly strengthened us beyond measure — and taught us that there was no obstacle in the world whatsoever — and that the essential thing was the will and the longing and the yearning and so on — [as explained in §66 and in several places — study there] — therefore I strengthened my will. And I thought many thoughts about this. And I greatly directed my mind and attention to this. And Hashem Blessed be He also arranged for the good that I was guardian over his assets — for through this I had business here in Breslov every time. And I was compelled each time to travel here to collect his debts and to speak with his son-in-law about the matter of the Mezbuzh trip — where he had left a shop and a house — and his brother wished to keep them for himself. And because of all this I did not tire of traveling to Breslov — to the place of his holy encampment — as I had been accustomed during his time here. And this was a great benefit for our endeavors. And also every time I was here — I told much from his holy Torah teachings and conversations and so on. And I greatly reminded our anshei sh'lomaynu of the greatness of his awesome wonders and so on. And all of this was a cause for good — for the endurance of his holy legacy zichrono livracha.

And behold — close to my arriving home in Nemirov — I traveled here to Breslov and was here for holy Shabbas. And at Seudas Shelishis — I said before the assembled the entire awesome Torah "Tiku Tochacha" [Likutay Tinyanna §8] — which he had said at the last Rosh Hashonah in Uman. And all the listeners were seized with trembling from the very wondrous novelties they heard from my mouth. For it is already known that hearing from the mouth is not comparable to reading in a book. In particular then — when it was close to my having heard it from his holy mouth. And afterward I returned home.

And during the days of Chanukah — our dear and beloved veteran companion Rabbi Shimon, may his light shine, came to the holy community of Nemirov. And he wished that I travel with him through the region to our anshei sh'lomaynu — to collect money for the printing of the Tinyanna mentioned above. But I saw it was impossible for me to travel now. And it occurred to me to send him alone for this purpose. And I traveled with him together to here in Breslov — to deliberate here about what to do. And they answered and said that if I myself did not travel — Rabbi Shimon would accomplish nothing at all — for they would give him nothing whatsoever. And I was then unable to travel myself as mentioned above. Therefore the matter was further delayed and we did not travel at all. And I returned home. And I saw that the printing was very far from me. But even so — I did not abandon the will. And I was always longing and yearning for this — even though it was very far from me. And I was always thinking many thoughts about it. Perhaps Hashem Blessed be He would help me to complete such a great and awesome undertaking — to spread his wellsprings outward — of which every single Torah teaching and every single conversation encompassed the entire Torah — and every level and every world and so on.
