And behold — upon my arriving in Tcheirin on Sunday Parshas Yisro as mentioned above — I understood that it was impossible to travel before Shabbas. And therefore right now there was no need to confuse my mind with doubts at all. But afterward — after Shabbas mentioned above — I began to think about how to conduct the matter of my journey. For if I did not travel with Rabbi Shlomo from there to Nikolayev — I must travel immediately to Kremintchoug and from there return here. And circulate through Medzibuizh and Tchirkas and so on. And from there return home. But perhaps if I wanted to go to Nikolayev — then I needed first to circulate in order to collect some sum of money — so that I would have travel expenses. And also perhaps I could send something home for livelihood and to settle some debt. And behold — my mind was very perplexed. And on Monday — my brother-in-law Rabbi Elimelech may his light shine answered and said to me — he had come to Tcheirin on the previous Friday — Parshas Yisro: if you wish — you can travel with me together to Tchirkas on Tuesday. And from there you will return with me for Shabbas here. And we will travel from here together to Kremintchoug — for I must be there. And you can also return with me from Kremintchoug here. And his words pleased me greatly — for he would save me from much expense on such a ruined road. And so I did then. And I traveled on Tuesday — Parshas Mishpatim — together with my brother-in-law to Tchirkas. On the road I learned clearly that Medzibuizh was much closer to Tchirkas than Tcheirin. And it immediately occurred to me: if I could not travel from Tchirkas to Tcheirin — I would spend Shabbas in Medzibuizh. And I came to Tchirkas the night belonging to Wednesday — after midnight. And I stayed there all Wednesday and Thursday. And my brother-in-law did not return to Tcheirin. And I had a wagon arranged. And I traveled Friday morning alone from Tchirkas to Medzibuizh. And my companion Rabbi Mendil was not with me then — since he had stayed in Tcheirin because the wagon of my brother-in-law was too small to take him. And I came to Medzibuizh for Shabbas Parshas Mishpatim — and it was also Parshas Shekalim. And I spent Shabbas there in joy as was proper. And on Shabbas night — the feet of our friend the rav Rabbi Yudl carried him there. And I also danced with him in joy with Hashem's help. And Rabbi Chaikl was with us.
