מִי שֶׁמֵּתָה אִשְׁתּוֹ, יֹאמַר בְּכָל יוֹם פָּרָשַׁת אָשָׁם, עַד שֶׁיִּשָּׂא אִשָּׁה אַחֶרֶת.
1. One whose wife has died should recite daily the Torah passage describing the Guilt Offering (Usham), until he marries a different woman.

עַל־יְדֵי שֶׁקֶר דְּבָרָיו אֵינָם נִשְׁמָעִים, גַּם עַל־יְדֵי שֶׁקֶר מְאַלְמֵן, חַס וְשָׁלוֹם, כַּמָּה נָשִׁים.
1. Through falsehood, one's words are not heard. Also through falsehood, one becomes a widower G-d forbid, from several women.

כְּשֶׁמֵּתָה אִשְׁתּוֹ שֶׁל אָדָם, אֲזַי כְּאִלּוּ נֶחְסָר לוֹ עֶצֶם מֵעֲצָמָיו, אֲבָל הַצַּדִּיק, אַף־עַל־פִּי שֶׁאִשְׁתּוֹ מֵתָה, אֵינוֹ נֶחְסָר לוֹ עֶצֶם. וְזֶהוּ: אַלְמָן – אוֹתִיּוֹת אַ'חַת מֵ'הֵנָּה לֹ'א נִ'שְׁבָּרָה.
2. When a man's wife dies, it is as if he is missing one of his bones. But the Tzaddik, even though his wife passed away, he is not deficient a bone. This is (hinted at in the word) Alman <widower>, the acronym for (psalms 34:21) : "Not one of them is broken." (a'chat m'ayhem l'oe n'ishbara).
