1. One who is accustomed to saying good tidings, he is enclothed with an aspect of Eliyahu (Elijah).
2. Do not bear bad tidings, for due to bad tidings numerous people have passed away.
3. One who fulfills a commandment 'as it was said' (t.n. There are different interpretations as to what this demands. The Maharsha explains that it means – for the sake of Heaven. The Maharal explains it means – in completion, exactly as it was commanded), evil tidings do not come to him, and the Holy One, Blessed be He, decrees, and he annuls.
4. One who bears evil tidings falls into small-mindedness.
1. One who is accustomed to bear good tidings, through this his feet will not hurt him.
