Shavuos

Breslov teachings for Kabbalas HaTorah — receiving the Torah anew

Shavuos is the fiftieth day — the completion of the Omer and the moment of Kabbalas HaTorah. Rabbi Nosson teaches that Shavuos is called Atzeres, gathering, because Torah is received when the scattered points of good, desire, and holy souls are assembled into one heart.

וַיִּחַן שָׁם יִשְׂרָאֵל נֶגֶד הָהָר — כאיש אחד בלב אחד.

Unity of Souls

ויחן שם ישראל

Rabbi Nosson explains Atzeres as gathering: all the scattered nefashos and good desires are assembled together so Torah can be revealed.
